Hi we are building with GJ in Qld we have selected Laminate flooring but after speaking to floor experts they have said Lamimate only lasts 7 years and warps easily .can we get a credit for the floor and do it ourselves?

Hi Brownie, whatever you want to do we can try to accommodate...best to get in touch with the your local GJ office you are building with asap before any materials and trades are ordered and scheduled in.
A little advise - builders can purchase and install flooring at wholesale rates not available to the general public, so personally I'd recommend keeping it in the builders contract and save yourself the heartache! Regarding the advise from your flooring experts ... keep in mind the life of any floor completely depends on the amount and type of ware and tare, and consider the "feel" or texture you actually want in your home (laminate, vinyl plank, tile, carpet, etc.)

If you're referring to the products they would use within your home such as tap fittings, doors, basins etc then yes, absolutely!
Each office uses different products so you would need to speak directly with your closest G.J. Gardner Homes office, but they will take you through a product guide to help you choose between certain models or products.

Hi there they don’t give you many choices choosing tiles what you can do is get the rebate on the tiles and you can supply you choice of tiles you want .you just have to talk to ur salesman also be upfront with everything make sure you to put everything in writing all the upgrade your gona get and everyone charges different psm but shouldn’t be more than $60 psm that what I think .you just gotta make a deal with them

During the build, there will be multiple opportunities to come on site and walk through the progress of your new home. At this point if there are issues you are finding with the quality of work, we encourage you to be as open and honest with your Builder as possible so they can rectify any issues and make sure you're happy. If you feel your local G.J. Gardner Homes Builder still isn't helping with any issues during the build, you're welcome to call the Head Office for your State to speak with the General Manager to try and manage the situation.

We have just redesigned the mandalay to a 315sqm...see gj gardner ripley/springfield qld for the design....otherwise for mandalay 315 is costing approx $350,000...we think our design is more family friendly than the other mandalay designs

Just finished building with GJ gardner homes..... WORST experience of my life. Once you've signed, you'll hardly see/hear from them.... Don't answer emails or phone calls until you tell them you will come into the office to speak with them. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE EVERYTHING IN WRITING, especially when it comes to the six months defects list.... THEY OVERCHARGE ON UPGRADES.. never give you a credit even though you've chosen a cheaper product.....BE VERY CAREFUL. Even if there is something written in the contract, means nothing to them... PASSED OFF AS A MISTAKE... UNBELIEVABLE.... I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND GJ GARDNER HOMES

We built with GJ Gardner late 2017, the price was reasonable when we compared builders and the finishes were quality. The communication was great through the build and they were really responsive and quick to resolve any of my concerns. Nothing was an issue when dealing with Ed and Steph, my partner and I made several mid-build changes and they were more than happy to accomodate us and still met the build timeframes. We would definitely recommend them.

No, I just got the normal package comes with all you need, but at extra cost i got a spa bath in main bathroom, extended my dinning family room space and internal air conditioner. All good any questions just direct to GJ Gardner they would be more then happy to hear from you. I am sure any upgrade package would be worth while doing.

We built through GJ Gardner, Wangaratta. They were extremely professional, knowledgeable and reliable. They made building a house less daunting, and an enjoyable experience. They go above and beyond what is expected of them to ensure you are happy with the finished product. They will match your house and needs to your budget. Would definitely build through them again, and would highly recommend them.
