New NBN connection
I had Francis help me today with a new NBN connection setup. It took us a while because I am using my own modem but he was very patient and very knowledgeable and I am now online. Thankyou Francis.

SCAM REVIEWS
A lot of these reviews for NBN are fakes, notice how everyone seems to have one review and basic names? This company uses Overseas call centres yet is apparently based in Australia. We got the NBN and the download speed is lucky to be 0.15 on a good day. We are located 10 kilometres from Melbourne CBD in the Northern Suburbs. Now I am jumping through hoops just trying to get it disconnected. Cannot believe that they can charge for such poor speeds but have a new excuse each time such as I need to buy a new box, even though Im using the one they provided which is a netgear box! Then it was I have to pay for faster speeds, Im meant to be getting 50 while Im getting 0.15. Absolutely joke and a scam.

Simple, efficient, great support
Signed up online, easy hassle free connection. Great speed and great pricing. Excellant Tech Support on a Sunday afternoon. Moved into a newish complex with an overly complicated comms setup. Impressive service, right from the start
Having just completed our initial NBN connection. it is worth stating our experience so far.
We chose Harbour ISP as our NBN supplier after extensive research and their service to date has reinforced this choice. Pamela and Rose from the sales team were very helpful and simplified what could have been confusing. A quick phone call put me in touch with Rey, who expertly completed our connection. He was polite, friendly and very efficient, thank you Rey. We were with our previous ISP for more than 26 years (back in the dark ages of dialup modems) and so this was a significant change for us. Thank you Karen F for reconsidering your stance on my modem issues. We are a poor family and to lose everything in our house fire and have my daughter start the hsc with distance ed with no internet was very stressful. You have stepped up with kindness thank you. A good service support.
The support team was too helpful. They troubleshoot issues without boundaries unlike other isp support. They don't mind if you use their own provided router or if you use your own

NBN speed fixed!!
We moved recently and the nbn speed at our new place was very very slow (7 mbs), spoke with Mae and she fixed the speed while I waited on the phone. She rang nbn and they had us on the wrong speed - we are now on almost 45mbs wifi - Thanks Mae!

Dishonest people
I've been with them for 19 months now under their month to month, no lock-in-contract, which is the only reason why I went with this company. I wanted to cancel my subscription today and they asked me to pay $350 for cancellation fee as its written in the contract. Not to mention their internet speed is horrible!! Never again and will never recommend to my worst enemies.

Poor service and penny pinching!!!!
Strongly advise that you stay away from Harbour ISP as an internet provider!!! Small company that is too busy penny pinching rather than focusing on growth by providing a good service. We had a problem with our internet service for weeks. It was mentioned by their own support staff that the modem is possibly at fault, we were advised that they will send a new modem but first required permission from management. From then on I can only assume management did not want to replace our modem, so this problem dragged out for weeks with multiple phone ...Read more
calls, hours of our time then telling us to get an electrician to replace our internal line. We did so at our own cost only to find out a week later it was the modem all along. I expected a sincere apology from Harbour ISP and a good credit on our account to rectify the issue. Sadly I get a call from the Customer Service Manager filled with attitude saying that us paying for the electrician is not their problem even though it was under their instruction and not actually the fault!!! A simple fix of swapping the modems out early rather than try to blame everything else including our TV, phones and computer. Then having a second chance after weeks of next to no internet to fix this by offering a good will credit to cover our costs and payments to them during this period, Harbour ISP were rude and not interested in making this very poor experience any better. I would NOT recommend you sign up with Harbour ISP as once you have an issue they dont seem to care about any form of customer satisfaction but more than happy to bill you while you have issues!!!1 comment

Great customer service
Just signed up with Harbour ISP and I can say best decision ever. Just moved to our new home and needed an ISP provider. Had an issue with our line in as it wasn't installed/existent but they help to organise again for the installation. Glenda was really helpful on the after sales and billing support. They are much better than the big telcos/provider and did I mentioned they are cheaper on the same range of internet service speed.
As for the connection I experienced some very slow connection, lag spike and some dropouts. Hopefully they can fix this, without this issues it will be a 5 stars for me.

Problems have always been dealt with promptly. Follow up is brilliant. The staff like aila are friendly and determined to fix any problem. Service is patchy at timed but no more than anyone else. We have always been happy with harboursat.

Really happy with Harbour isp so far
I'm a new customer and I am really happy so far with the service I have received from Harbour isp.
I have been dealing with Glenda Sangalang who has been fantastic. When I first connected, I needed assistance from support team and that was great also (can't remember the name of the guy I spoke to though). The speed is also fast.

Beware of additional costs
Firstly, to this point I have been unable to fault the connection of my Harbour ISP connection. Bit slow at peak times which is expected, but mostly on my mobile, never on a streaming device (e.g. Apple TV).
But, I haven’t recently moved which I always anticipated would happen during the contract period. I had read the T&C’s and noted there was not relocation fees so thought this wouldn’t be an issue. Called to request the service be moved and was advised they would need to charge an additional fee because it was an off net area of $15pm. My h...Read more
ome is connected to the NBN like any other it seems, but I was told that all providers charge this fee. I have gotten quotes from other providers and haven’t been able to find one that charges an offnet fee for my premises. I requested that my contract be terminated given a comparable service was not able to be provided, and I was told I had to pay the termination fee if I chose to cancel my contract being $350 or remaining payments. Frankly, I don’t think this is fair given they can’t offer me the same service at the same price, when another provider could do the same without additional cost. Poor form Harbour ISP. Probably better to stick with a major provider as they seem to be able to act in a reasonable manner.2 comments

Harbour ISP is one of the better ISP Companies to deal with
Since moving to the NBN, I had issues with my original NBN provider, Amaysim, so I switched to Harbour ISP.
I have found Harbour ISP to be one of the better Companies to be with. They are AUSTRALIAN. There are no language problems.
Moving over was easy. There were some issues with 'speed' but a call to Harbour was met with a desire to assist and we worked through the problem. They had to get NBN to come out (a couple of times) but this was easy (and promptly) facilitated.
I am getting (regularly) 40 Mbm (download) on my 50 Mbm plan, which is acceptable.
'Paul' was courteous, helpful, knowledgeable, and sympathetic. He actually made 'follow-up' calls to ensure my satisfaction.
Am I happy with the service? Yes, I am.

Connect landline number
So far I have not experienced any dropouts and connection is fine.
Issue porting old landline number. Andrea was very patient and helpful and solved the problem so all working fine.
Am also pleased that your phone number is answered promptly each time I have phoned.

Support is great!
I purchased this at a reasonable price and did have an issue right off the bat, it happens, no sweat. So I called the support line which is open till 10pm which is fantastic, and was helped by Rey. Rey very quickly determined the issue and resolved it faster. I appreciated Rey's friendliness and am, so far, happy with Harbour ISP. I look forward to enjoying this service!
