Not a very smart sales woman
Hello world Westfield Blacktown was terrible. As soon as I stepped in, one of the middle age women staff glanced at me and said "sorry, I'm busy" and back to her paperwork as though she had been talking to one of her children. I was like (chuckled with disbelieve) "Hey, don't be sorry, I'm a customer, you don't want me I walk away, mate, easy."
There are many more travel agents in western suburb, and countless online. if she was one of my employees, she would had been kicked out in no time. I have never been back again after that. I am a frequent flyer, and so as all my circle of friend. Now, you can easily count how many customers that agency has lost.

Can anyone ever make a booking with Hello World?
I received an email that had a great offer: Bali return for $599. Clicked, selected dates well within the period of the offer, and up came the price $1,099 per person - almost double the advertised price. No reason provided. I sent Hello World an email asking for an explanation. No reply within 24 hours, like they claim they'll reply within. A day later, called Customer Service. Excellent service
We went through Helloworld Fountain Gate for our trip to Paris last May, everything went off without a hitch, Amy, the travel agent was courteous, friendly, professional, we had such a good time we came back and within a week rebooked to go again, she was delighted that we wanted to travel again and got the same flights and hotel for us, nothing was a bother, even on our last trip we were in the floods, she was inquiring about us overseas to make sure we were alright and if we needed anything, would not go anywhere else, best service, good prices and safe, don't like online booking, never know what will happen, thank you once again.

Lack of Basic Communication Skills
Having Booked a 17 night Princess Cruise with Hello World Booragoon WA in Person starting from Tokyo and ending in Singapore in October, it was disappointing to deal with a Consultant who had no contact with us from 1st August until 22nd September and as we had payed in full to be hit with an additional charge of $148 for a mistake the consultant had made, which is acceptable but not to tell us for 6 weeks until by chance we called in to see if our travel documents were in is very poor Customer Service. Then the Consultant offered to assist us with a money exchange we heard nothing and now the Consultant has gone on Holidays.
We would say Goodbye Hello World and never use them again.

Get the old app back
I hate the new app I can't book fights and accommodation together anymore, if I try to book a hotel in Honoulu it says unable to find search again, I have email a number of times and no one can give me a answer, I want to know when I can book accomadation and fights together a date that this is going to happen would be good, I don't want to go in to a store, and I don't want to email you. The old way was heaps better

New Helloworld website is big step backwards. No multi-city bookings option, no facility to list airfares by Shortest flight like before. Ugly, over-large layout with no gaps between flights. Disappointing

Not as smooth as I hoped for but they got it all sorted.
I missed a flight in January that I purchased from HelloWorld so Emirates made it into a credit in Jan 2016, this means you need to deal with an agent if you originally did and after some back and forth and a little pain we eventually got tickets reissued to use next year after paying the appropriate costs. My advise is, don't miss flights....
I would also like to make a special mention to the senior people at HelloWorld who intervened to make this happen, without you I am not sure what would have happened and for that I thank you guys.

I had this helloworld voucher, and visited one of branchs in Sydney City. Even after I have provided my name in writing this agent put a wrong name on actual ticket that cost me over thousand dollars to fix it at the very last minute - change fee incurred as the ticket was under no refund policy. And they deny to reimburse the cost incurred.

Serious overcharging and problems with their online system
Using the Helloworld online site I attempted to book two days accommodation in Hawaii. After checking everything and supplying my debit card details the site replied with "We were unable to complete this booking. Please try again later or select another option.". So I tried it again and then got the message "Your bank has denied authorization to charge this card ..." what ?

d is that the first error had place an approval only on my money and this would disappear after a number of days. The bank told me that an approval from Helloworld was accepted for the first error and the second error was because my card no longer had sufficient funds because of the initial approval. After waiting a number of days I found the approval did not go away but the money was debited from my account even though the original error had shown the booking could not be completed! ---- So I was ripped off $618.35 for no accommodation! ---- I contacted Helloworld again and after much discussion and back and forth and waiting they agreed there was an error and I was to be reimbursed for the $618.35. This did actually happen but it took another four working days and overall a lot of concern, frustration and worry. As a result I contacted the Hotel directly by phone and booked, the total cost with them was $485.32AUD and Helloworld was going to charge me $618.35AUD for exactly the same room!2 comments

was deducted from the debit card supplied at that time. I do have screen captures which have the date and time which would be close to within a minute or two, confirmed by the bank (29-7-2016 at 12:07:48 Perth WST time). Apart from that I have no paper trail except the credit back. It is interesting to note that the credit back was not to the original debit card which was debited and which I provided the number to the service desk. The credit was to another card which was a credit card I used for a booking made some months previously. The booking number for that was PBJTGA-281-441-8604. That was a booking at the same hotel for 20 nights. I needed an additional two nights because Jetstar had cancelled my original return flight. That previous booking was a completely separate booking and crediting that card from a few months previously, technically was not the right thing to do. Appalling
Booked 2 nights accommodation (2 rooms). Hotel in Sydney was dirty and had half-wits running through banging on doors all night. Booked out after 1 night, was charged by the hotel as they said they had not received information from Helloworld. This was eventually sorted out and promised credit to account. However Helloworld still charged my credit card for the 2 nights and will not credit account and have not replied to my complaint. Do not use them. I periodically book interstate accommodation for employees on business trips and will never recommend their service (if that is what you can call it).

Appalling Customer Service
I booked and paid in person to visit a dying relative but before I could take the trip, my sister-in-law died. While they were helpful in the beginning by saying they could offer a refund on the production of a death certificate - they then proceeded to prevaricate and dither (I posed the question at least 5 times in person and by email) about my very simple question on when I would receive the refund. Hidden Extra Charges
I recently booked flights on the hello world website and was quoted a total of $620 AUD then when I looked at my statement I had actually been charged $645 AUD I emailed them and asked why and they responded with "it's airline fees" why wouldn't they just tell you the actual price. Seems like a massive scam to get a few extra dollars off you. I would recommend booking through the actual airline so you don't get hidden "airline" fees

I take it as a lesson never to use Helloworld again!
I booked flights through Helloworld online for my husband and myself for a holiday to USA some months ago. As we were offered extra time off from work we wanted to extend our holiday. On contacting Helloworld I was advised that this would be at a cost of between $200-$300 plus $40 EACH plus any extra cost for the change of flight !
I have just been on Fiji Airlines site the Ticket Change Fee is $120 each.
I dealt with a company years ago called "Best Flights" and had the same issue and have been informed this is the same company.

We booked a US trip with Sharon at Hello World, Marion in Adelaide! It was a company sponsored trip for my husband and Sharon was very efficient with the booking process. She had a good knowledge of the places that we wanted to visit and importantly unlike other agents her prices did not change drastically overnight from what she first offered. She assisted us in planning smaller parts of our travel such as airport shuttles and theme park tickets and gave us at-par rates for accomodation when compared to online sites. Poor Customer Service
Booked a trip to Thailand with Helloworld Lillydale, unfortunately had a misunderstanding with the name they booked it under, rose the issue, they did not ask for my Passport details until after the error, stating that people do travel on different names, but surely the same as the passport? Another flight had to be booked and the original one cancelled. I've been waiting 3 months for a refund, which I was advised would take 6 to 8 weeks. I would not recommend them.

Cheap flight but be warned if you need to cancel or change!
I booked a trip to the USA through them as it was the cheapest option. Three flights in total.
Just tried to cancel 2nd flight due to change of plans and they wanted $800 - call centre in Philippeans who don't speak English.
They said to avoid paying the fee I would need to not just show for the flight and be considered a "no show" - BUT if we did this they would cancel our 3rd flight return to Sydney and basically leave us stranded in LA.
I would never book with them again. in future I will be booking direct with the airline

No 24/7 customer service.
I received advice that a flight I had booked on-line through Helloworld from Larnaca to Tel Aviv had been cancelled. On a Friday evening after 11.30pm I tried to call the 24/7 Customer Call Centre 4 times to re-organise flights. The first time I was left hanging on indefinitely "due to higher then normal call volumes". The second and third times I was cut off. The fourth time, on a terrible line, after 10 minutes, I was cut off again. I cannot recommend the customer support service at all.
I had a different experience in the morning calling the 1800 number which went straight through and the staff were very helpful.

We are entitled to refunds for our Emirates flights from Brisbane to London that were booked for July. Why wouldn't we be able to receive a refund for the $200 for seat reservation?
Also our HelloWorld is charging us $220 for them to arrange the refunds etc. I thought Flight Centre wasn't able to do this as per the ACCC so why can HelloWorld do this?

After listening to ringtone for 3 hours, they kill the call without answering. I did that twice today. Six hours of listening to ring tone for nothing!!! How can I talk to someone at Helloworld?
