Impressa J9.3, Impressa J5, J90, etc...Too many issues...
I will start out by saying, it makes a great cup of coffee. Black coffee, that is. Coffee with milk is too cold, but I'm sure you've seen that mentioned many times in these reviews so I won't dwell...
Many other issues! Both hoppers are just too small. Especially the bean hopper. It is s gravity feed from the top, and the beans don't always drop through. You constantly need to open it up to help "push" the beans through. So, even when it's full it still beeps at you saying it's empty. All in all the hopper capacity is just too small anyway...Read more
. Same with the water hopper in our opinion. But, the worst part is the machine will start making a cup then stop before finishing to say you need more water. It won't resume, you need to start over. So now you have a double strength coffee. What a waste of time and coffee.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
OK my berg was better and only £400.00
The coffee is lovely machine looks good, but I like cuppacinos so you need to have a microwave as it's only capable of making lukewarm cuppacinos and lattes it's the milk part that's the problem you can't change the temperature on the milk so even with the coffee at its hottest it just doesn't cut the mustardand at £1600 pounds that's a great disappointment. I had a berg machine that was better and only £400.00 pounds.

I have had Jura machines for 12 years now, they are great when they are going, the newer ones parts dont last, servicing is so expensive, and spare parts wow, just needed a little rubber frother 59.00 same part in Europe 16.00 Australian, 10 Euro
Done with Jura machines, never again

Absolute rubbish. Frother has not worked from day one.
Disgraceful customer service, refusing to address the issue, will not allow me to speak to their supervisor, ignore emails, never call back, every time you ring a different person tells you a different thing, they took the machine away for 11 days, returned the machine back still not working. Thanks to Jura I am left with a non functioning coffee machine this Christmas and I bet they remove this post as soon as they read it instead of addressing the problem.

Further to my earlier review, was totally ignored by Jura after their promises to contact me. Now have a De Longhi Eletta which so far is problem free.

Great Machine, Shame About The Service on The Machine
The machine was great. I loved it so much that after buying one for the office, i purchased one for the home. It never missed a beat in 5 years, that was until the grinder stopped, had it serviced (at the only NSW dealer - cost $400 + freight to them) and upon its return the machine unfortunately now leaks like a sieve when trying to make a coffee. The machine does not make coffee like it used to, and now the same dealer wants another $400 to fix that as well as it is a different issue. Thought that was part of "servicing" the machine. Very poor Jura Lost customer here :(

Absolutely disappointing
Disappointed with the inferior quality of this high end model. Spent over 3k on the machine + extended warranty. The inferior plastic quality of the milk Frother spout broke after barely 2 months of use, and Jura refused to cover it in the warranty.
Is costing another $100 to have it repaired.
Don't waste money on the Jura machines that come with milk Frother.

I purchased the J9.2 of Graysonline reconditioned for $1070, when it first arrived it was producing no head in the latte or cappuccino. So we were quite upset, but the wonderful Jura girl sent us out a small part for the machine, first one was stolen in the post but again the friendly Jura girl was great and sent out another. We are now in love with our machine beautiful coffee and easy to use. Thank you Jura will definitely recommend the J9.2.

he one year warranty it was fixed for free. The process was easy and make sure you keep your original box it comes in as it makes shipping easier. So down sides of this product is you have to buy lots of filters and cleaning products, which do add up in cost. As its past the one year mark and not under warranty anymore were not bothering with so many filter changers, so when this one breaks will definitely buy another Jura but a smaller version. Coffee is still amazing.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Good Machine
As everyone has mentioned, the machine is quiet but the milk isn't hot enough.
In Australia, we like our milk hot.
Preheat the milk by pressing the milk button first then press the desired coffee.
Easy to clean, quiet, types of coffee
Bad- warm milk, price.
The missing feature is auto start.

Luke warm coffee
I have owned a Delongie coffee machine previously & it was good but had several things break down within 5 years. It made great hot coffee. I decided on the Jura J90 as I considered it a better quality machine. I have only had it a few weeks but I am disappointed that the coffee is Luke warm & I have not been able to get a hot milky coffee. For the price I paid for it I am not impressed.

My husband discovered a way to get the milk hotter. Press the milk button before starting to make a milky coffee. The machine will commence heating. This has helped to make a hotter coffee so I am much happier with it now & the coffee is great

excellent coffee with milk problems
*Brand new machine out of the box* (cleaning is not the problem)
First, to Jura AU, Please note that some people think that the number you are providing is a US number; in addition, posting your customer service number in your reply doesn't help your reputation or the fact that the milk is warm not hot, Yes there is a milk temp setting in the machine but you still don't seem to understand that we want hot milk.so a reprogramming will be great.
Second, the customer is always right!! if your team have a degree in business by any chance they s...Read more
hould know this!! the milk is not hot enough. we run more than 120 coffee shops in Saudi Arabia per international standards and i can tell you the milk is not warm enough! there must be a programming issue or a way to re-write the commands into the machine to rectify this problem. Third, i have tried to pinch the milk tube by hand and with a zip tie and it provided warmer milk but i do not know the consequences of repeatedly doing this trick. the other trick is to play with the froth dial and adjusting it from LEFT to RIGHT towards the end of your milk cycle will give you warmer milk. Please not that the milk I used was fresh cold full fat milk. I refuse to use room temp. milk because i need to use my machine in the morning before i go to work and i have no time to let the milk sit in room temp. and i dont want to use UHT long life milk. P.S. I called your US customer service number and after waiting for 10 minutes during both calls they hung up on me. so its just useless to call. And i will not send a fax... its 2014 not 1990!!Similar opinion? Terrible
Bought the machine 1 week ago and it will not froth the milk. Have spoken to Jura customer service and have done exactly what they said to do. I have tried everything from heating the milk before putting it in the milk canister to letting the machine warm up for over an hour. Not happy at all.

great coffee always...
There will always be positive and negative reviews about any product. I did a lot of reading about the j9.3 machine before my purchase, including reviews on this site that were both good and bad. In the end I went ahead and purchased mine from Harvey Norman after a very helpful product demo (sales pitch). Got the machine home and was obviously keen to try it out. After a previous 8 year old Saeco machine I learned a long time ago to heat up the glass/mug for the hottest coffee, so that's how I went about my first few cups of espresso. No p...Read more
roblem at all - great taste, well grounded as I like. Then I tried a latte and the problem started - it seems that the milk brother would not draw any milk from a jug. Most disappointed by this as my only option was espressos. A phone call to the Jura service centre in Melbourne solved the issue immediately. Seems a faulty milk brother was the problem. This was sent out express post that day and arrived the next. Now i have the choice of coffee any way I like it. And I do like it. It's better than most coffee shop coffees. Now I know people will say that the milk brother should not be DOA, but, sometimes crap happens. They may also say you shouldn't have to pre heat the cups - get over it. It's a great machine and the service I experienced backed that up. Finally, the machine was extra cheap, which also helps the buying decision. Jura all the way for me:)Similar opinion? Pretty good for 7 years
Ah, one service about a year ago maybe a bit longer and now the machine wont deliver coffee it seems to be pushing against resistants. I am not sending it back in for a repair something is telling me a flat fee of around $400.00 plus parts could end up around $500 so I am pensioning this off and am looking at an F7.
My complaints are this, as one reviewer commented.Lack of available parts and those stupid screw heads to stop those of us who are mechanically minded from pulling the machine apart.Anyway that is what I am going to do with this un...Read more

Beware of inferior plastic used in this model!
Paid $3000 for this with 5 year warranty. A year ago the plastic frother broke, because of arthritis have problems so it meant I put sideways pressure when cleaning, and it broke off. Rang Jura and was told it was not covered by warranty because external part! They want $400 to fix it. So bought cheap frother. This morning when cleaning coffee spigot the plastic broke off. Makes great coffee, but not much use when necessary parts break off. INFERIOR plastic used in this expensive machine!

Warm Milk problem ?
Oh come on guys wake up preheat the milk and put it in the thermos problem solved.
Of course if you have a room temperature glass you will get an 8 degree cooling effect and that guy who likes his coffee hot is not thinking.
The reason the coffee is the temperature it is is because if the temperature is too high the coffee is bitter.Let me assure you Jura heat the water to the correct drinking temperature in their machines and if you haven't figured out b...Read more

Fantastic Coffee at the push of one button
Have had this machine for 4 months now and love it!
So easy to make different types of coffee, especially in the morning, when you just want a strong coffee without having to do a barrista course first. Speaking of barristas - this machine is honestly better than 90% of the coffee you get from "professionals".
Great when friends come around. The machine can make endless coffees really quickly.

Luke warm milk
The machine is good but coffee is at 45 degrees Celsius. I've always had my coffee at 55-60 degrees. Unfortunately I have to microwave it to get hotter. I think there should be a milk heat control that makes it just that bit hotter. I'm a bit disappointed but perhaps I'll get used to it. $2000 for cold coffee.
Harvey Norman told us it made the hottest coffee in all the auto machines.
Easy to use. Looks good.
Milk doesn't heat hog enough.

I wonder if any of you guys noticed that, when Jura is brewing espresso, it spits out water first before coffee?

Hi William, does it doing when it first rinses as well?

Well i do not recall that it spits water during initial rinse, but observed this consistently for each and every brew; spits out clear water during pre-brew, then coffee.

I have had my J5 for a few years now and love it, recently when making coffee the water doesn’t go through the coffee it goes straight to the drip tray, is there a simple fix for this
1 answer
I believe it’s time for a deep clean; either send it in for a service, or diy.
Do you also having ‘no coffee symptom’ while making cappuccino through side spout?
Deb C.asked
I have a Jura J9 Impressa. When the machine needs cleaning, I enter the cleaning cycle as usual, but it automatically goes to expert mode. If I go back and enter the cleaning mode, and remove the drip tray, it won't recognize when I put the tray back in. However, when not in the cleaning mode, it has no problem recognizing the drip tray when I return it to place after emptying the grounds. Although I can make coffee, I now can't clean the machine. Any help?
