Faulty lid
I had my first KA kettle for over 3yrs and had to send it back due to a recall, however mine was working perfect. Now the replacement kept having the issue with the lid. So I claimed warranty with KitchenAid, and they replaced it immediately. Then a week or so later same issue occured, so they replaced it again. Then the new one immediately had an issu whilst brand new from the box, so they replaced it again! year. And the operator said so far there hasn't been any issue with the lid, BUT! Of course there's other issues. I just hope the replacement doesn't blow up, and any fault should still be kept under warranty. But we'll see as the operator advised that the warranty for this now faulty item is near its warranty period and she was happy to honour a replacement. This kettle has a standard 2yrs warranty from new.Purchased in June 2021.

Terrible kettle and terrible service
We were given this kettle and had no papers.
It is a terrible product. We had a different brand of kettle with the temp control but put aside for the new Kitchenaid one. The operation Of the product was terrible.i emailed Kitchenaid twice and got no response.what sort of service is this

Inaccurate temperature control. Annoying interface. Poor build quality.
Temperature can easily be +/- 10C out of reported temperature. Button broke off. Won't show current temperature when you place it back on the base, meaning you have to start to boil again to see the current temperature then stop it. Fine if you only ever boil to 100C, I guess. But don't rely on any of its useful features.

Stay away from this Kettle.... The power to the Start button keeps going on and off. To make it worse I returned a Black KitchenAid Kettle 10 months old into a two Warranty to The Good Guys Osborne Park. Was informed no stock of Black, need to wait four weeks for new one, okay fine. However the new stock is an upgraded model so I need to pay $96 more, why?! Absolute Junk
Had it for 3 years lid wouldn't open properly had to hold button down while using other finger to lift lid.
Just today the lid broke and the handle separated a little. Lucky I didn't scald myself.
As I decided to put on Product Review I've just learned that there is a Product Recall on this kettle.
Buyer Beware, save your money.

Luv this kettle
I love the look of this kettle, available in a range of colours. Good size, 1.7l lt with clear strip showing water level. Very solidly built, lovely quiet operation. Features a hold temperature setting as well as selecting the temperature you would like. Recommended!

I like it but...
I mainly purchased this kettle (from Good Guys Tempe) as I had a voucher that needed to be used instore. I hadn't purchased KitchenAid before so wasn't that sure about the brand.
Things I love about it;
- Great red colour and finish
- the blue light temperature display
- adjustable temperature which I was sceptical about but there is actually a big difference between boiling to 90C or 100C
- nice stainless steel inside
- not too heavy
- handle on side (not above lid)
- cordless

What a Dud.
This is the third Artisan kettle to die within 2 years. The first one lasted 4 months and was replaced by Kitchen Aid. The replacement lasted two months. Now the third replacement kettle has just dies again .
Our Kitchen Aid toaster also died with 12 months.
Never again!!!

Amazing, I love it.
Looks great, heats quickly. Love being able to set the temperature and hold it for 30 minutes. No problems at all. It’s super quiet. Overall I’m very happy with it.

Second kettle with lid issue!!
Within 6 months I am now returning my second kettle. Expect better quality given the brand and as much as I love the look, cannot continue to replace it for the same reason. Extremely disappointed and based on the number of people experiencing this issue I would have expected it be taken seriously and a total recall or new model introduced by now. No amount of color options is going to cut it.

Excellent kettle & customer service
We love our Kettle, received a replacement for the recall last year (we were lucky not to have had any issues).
After about 9 months our lid button jammed. I emailed KitchenAid Sunday night and had a replacement kettle no questions asked by Thursday. Really impressed with the customer service!

Very noisy when boiling water and lid difficult to open.
I received a replacement kettle due to recall but the replacement is extremely noisy when boiling water.
The lid is difficult to open which results in me filling via spout.

Super quiet, efficient and quick to boil.
Easy to see the water level. Quiet and quick to boil. The kettle itself is not too heavy. It looks lovely and pours well too. Will post again if I find issues.

Kitchenaid jug lid faulty
This was a gift to my mum and after about 6 months the lid had become very difficulty for her to open. Not gd value for money. Very disappointed in what was supposed to be a reputable appliance.

I purchased this kettle along with the matching toaster through Flybuys (points and cash). I am disappointed with the product due to button not working on the lid. You need to push button down and lift lid with another finger as it doesn't pop up on it's own. I have also had the kettle not connecting properly with the base, needing to take it on and off, on the odd occasion. The kettle and toaster are at a ridiculous price for the quality. More stringent testing is needed for these products to be remotely worth what is charged. I have also written a review for the toaster which is a failure as well. I would like a refund.

I am so disappointed with this kettle
Loved the look of kettle and easy use of temperature gauge.However we have had kettle replaced twice due to opening button not working after a few weeks.I did email Kitchenaid with no reply so then rang them and was told that there was no problem with kettle.I note other reviews have had same issue.
I have now returned kettle to Harvey Norman and now have a new release colour Breville variable kettle.
Doubt if i will be buying any more Kitchen Aid appliances mainly due to lack of customer service.
Purchased in February 2021 for $164.00.

Good product and customer service
i have 3 products from Kitchenaid and their customer service is good based on my experience. The kettle didn't turn on down after a month and after a quick call, within a week we received a new one and we havent had any problem since then. It looks good and have been using it for more than 2.5 years now without any change in the look or function.

Wish I’d never bought it
I bought my first one 3 yrs ago and then a recall replacement about 6 months ago.
Both times the Lid opening mechanism failed within 3 months, however sometimes it does open. The first kettle occasionally failed to switch off at all and the replacement is even worse. It is not left unattended in the kitchen now as it is too dangerous. Email to Kitchenaid initially said a reply would ensue in 10 working days which has been more like 20 working days and no reply to my subsequent email..
I’m very disappointed in the product and company.

A KitchenAid Kettle that requires First Aid
Seven months old, top fails to open 1 in 3 attempts. Electrical contact between the kettle and base is beginning to become sporadic requiring the kettle to be swivelled when putting on the base to attempt a successful contact. For a kettle costing a 3-figure sum it matches the quality of a kettle you would find in a bargain basement sale.

I’m exceptionally disappointed as I’d wanted one of these kettles for ages.

I have just purchased this kettle today and followed the instructions exactly to boil and discard the water. All good. Refilled it to make my first cup of tea and there is no longer any display. No temp, no lights. Batteries are in correctly. Not working at all. What is the problem?
