Great ISP
I’m really happy with Mate. The service is great and there have been no drop outs. I had some issues connecting my own router but Mate talked me through it and made connecting easy. Great customer care, highly recommend.

Good team.
Would lile to thank the good mate team. Helpful and punctual. Fixed an issue with NBN fault in a very short timeframe. Our Internet never drops out and does not suffer any speed restrictions.

Not as good as it used to be.
I was very happy with the service at my last address however after moving the service to my new address we're experiencing a lot of drop outs. I called mate to see why and got told it's not them but my modem. I never had issues with my modem and had double checked this. Feels like they're trying to push the blame elsewhere. Not impressed with this tactic

Pretty good
The internet connection is decent, much better than my last provider, but slows in the evenings.
The transfer process was fairly pain free.
Not into the whole “mate” schtick, like signing off “your mate” on bills. Insincere and pretty irritating.

Your internet speeds slowing down a little in the evening can be normal, as this is classified as the "typical busy period". However, if you feel the slowdown is more than it should be at night time, then we would suggest getting in touch with our support team to see if they can assist. Consistent Excellence
Have been with Mates for about 18 months now, both in Tasmania and WA. The service is good, but the Support Team are Excellent, weather assisting with modem set up, or dealing with NBN performance issues. Always polite, super helpful and quick. The Best I’ve ever dealt with bar non.

Great service from MATE
My comment is on the NBN connection itself. It brought my first internet dropouts ever, but seems to have improved over the last couple of months. I was having to reboot the whole modem-router almost daily - terrible, very disruptive.

Amazing service
Excellent customer service and setup was extremely easy as someone who knows very little about internet. I do very occasionally experience momentary drop outs but that's not a regular occurrence

Super support, good quality internet service
If you want both cheaper internet and mobile plan, they offer bundle for very affordable prices. I also admire how they keep the word as I regularly test the speed and it is as it previously said.

Signing up with mate and being a customer is just a breeze! I’ve converted my mum to Mate and recommend mate to anyone I can! The connection is great, it’s never dropped out on me, when I moved house and had to change my address customer services was very helpful and clean on what to do! They’re great!

Another good experience
I decided to go with Mate for my NBN after 18 months with Mate providing my ADSL service. I have had no problems with my ADSL service apart from Telstra in the beginning. I had problems with my router but mate replaced that also with no hassles.
After a month of NBN I am very satisfied with the service. I no longer get any buffering with Foxtel which is great. I also switched to a package for my mobile phone which is saving me $10 per month.

I will be moving into a brand new building with no ADSL or NBN available. I would like to know about a wireless connection - am looking at the best mates fixed wireless? what does this mean? I have a modem, was presuming that all I would need is a sim card?

At 7pm on the eve of me changing over to MATE, I thought I'd give MATE a call to see if there was anything I should know prior to my changeover. Well, the person I spoke to was annoying. He insisted on speaking over me all the time, and kept reciting over and over that because I was changing over on the 24th, [which is TODAY] there was nothing he would add. All I wanted to know was how will I be notified of my new log in and password and how long would I be without a connection, as it has been mentioned to me that sometimes it could be done within an hour. He almost accused me of lying, and that it could take up to three business days, and that he would review the tapes. He kept talking to me like I was some idiot. I was not amused, and almost threw in the towel there and then. His arrogance was astounding. You could do better hiring more pleasant people to handle your calls. I hope this wasn't a sign of things to come? Have I made a dreadful mistake, as I see others have had a difficult time with your service. Should I have gone to someone else? [639347]

Hey buddy, that sucks, the people I have spoken to have always been great. I can suggest emailing them, they answer really quick and there shouldn’t be communication errors that way.
