Haven't had any problems
speeds at about 30-35mbs down. Would be nice if it's a bit faster. Hasn't dropped out. Was connected very quickly outside of business hours. Haven't had any issues with this connection yet. FTTP.

Worked patiently to resolve an NBN situation that others wouldn't
We live in a Duplex (type) situation and initially NBN wouldn't connect us. Mate worked for 2 mths to resolve this and get us connected over the Xmas 2022 period, which was fantastic.

Great service
I have been using mates for over two years now and I must say they have outstanding service. Never had any major issue with the service. When I had some minor issues, they resolved it very quickly unlike my previous provider. I have referred mates to a few of my friends and they are all very happy with mates. Although the speed advertised is not what I am getting, I am happy with the overall product. Problems with the internet speed is due to the fact that the node is very far away from my house.

Would not be without it.
Connection no Drop outs or other problems.
I had a bit of a problem with subscription but the guys at mate fixed the problem with the minimum of fuss and a smile.

Best customer service!

Amazing service, cannot ask for any better customer service.
Mate communicate has been great! They have provided an amazing service all throughout. They have been very flexible, with quick connection service. I was away for 3 months and couldn’t have thought that disconnecting and reconnecting internet connection would be such an easy process. Cannot ask for a better internet provider!

Still waiting for the NBN to work
Unfortunately, when my new modem arrived, I found the connection didn't work so Mate & the NBN guys are working on it. However the WAY that they deal with the problem is the big thing. They communicate well and make me feel like they are doing their best to get it sorted. I have 100% confidence that my issue will be resolved swiftly.

Lost my job because they wouldn't give me an extension for a week
I work in ICT infrastructure stated my job requires me to have an active internet connection at home as there is a lot of after hours work, it's actually in my contract. Without the internet at home I don't have a job. They refused to help (although I have always paid my bill) and now I no longer have a job. So thanks for that. I'm currently talking to a lawyer.

Made the phone call this morning, and was transferred over to Mate in a matter of hours (though the email/message said 1 to 3 business days). That's what I call efficient! I'm not great on computers but the advice they gave over the phone, as well as their step by step guide, made the experience of hooking up my old router straightforward. Excellent Service
The original offer from Mate was well worth considering. They were very helpful in arranging a connection date that suited me. The phone support was quick and very good when I needed a bit of help plugging in at the beginning. Initially the internet kept dropping out for large periods of time. Mate organised for a NBN technician to come out and fix it as soon as possible. Now it is working very well (no drop outs).

Poor connection
Am using mate for more than an year and daily i restart my router three times i notified Mate many times to fix it but couldn't technician comes and go and say all good mate.

Satisfactory service so far
We are using Mate's NBN 50 service since about 2 months now. Speeds are below what we expected, and we already had one half-day outage. Apart from that the service is stable and customer service helpful (we called once so far).

Great service. Australian customer service.
I was with Mate for a bit over two years. They were great for me. The Internet service was always solid. The service over the phone was great. I got to talk to Australians in Australia. I had to move and unfortunately they could not provide the service in the new development because there was no nbn connection. I would have kept my service with them.

At 7pm on the eve of me changing over to MATE, I thought I'd give MATE a call to see if there was anything I should know prior to my changeover. Well, the person I spoke to was annoying. He insisted on speaking over me all the time, and kept reciting over and over that because I was changing over on the 24th, [which is TODAY] there was nothing he would add. All I wanted to know was how will I be notified of my new log in and password and how long would I be without a connection, as it has been mentioned to me that sometimes it could be done within an hour. He almost accused me of lying, and that it could take up to three business days, and that he would review the tapes. He kept talking to me like I was some idiot. I was not amused, and almost threw in the towel there and then. His arrogance was astounding. You could do better hiring more pleasant people to handle your calls. I hope this wasn't a sign of things to come? Have I made a dreadful mistake, as I see others have had a difficult time with your service. Should I have gone to someone else? [639347]

Hey buddy, that sucks, the people I have spoken to have always been great. I can suggest emailing them, they answer really quick and there shouldn’t be communication errors that way.

If you are on an nbn 50 plan on FTTP and are getting 30-35Mbps download, then this is likely via a Wi-Fi connection. Contact our support team and they'll be able to make some recommendations to boost the speed - your router/modem will likely have two Wi-Fi networks that you can connect to - 2.4GHz and 5GHz. They’ll both provide you with an internet connection, but the 5GHz Wi-Fi band has a much more powerful speed so this should always be used when possible. You should notice a significant improvement in the performance and speed of your devices when connected to this network. Regards, The MATE team
