Silence Is Golden.
I'm very happy with this great little unit. This Panasonic is quiet and reliable.
The inside unit is whisper quiet and the outside inverter is little more than a mild humming noise.
Both the heating and cooling is effective and efficient.
The remote control is basic and easy to use.
The unit itself is white and stylish. I would definitely purchase again.

Very good!
The Panasonic 8.0kW AERO Series Econavi Reverse Cycle Inverter Split System Air Conditioner utilises AEROWINGS technology to deliver focused or balanced air flow in the room.

wonderful. can't believe I went without one for such a long time
It is quiet. Easy to use. Installation only took 4hours. I have mine on temp control of 24c degree's. Perfect for my unit size. So happy with it and I know that I will be so cool this summer. It got me by on some colder nights. Don't know why I waited so long to get one.

Excellent machine, excellent value.
Nice looking unit. Installation is neat and tidy, not a big ugly box. A bit noisy to start up but quickly heats/cools so noise level quietens. Electricity bill not ridiculous despite consistent usage throughout hotter weeks of summer. Task installation at capalaba qld were very efficient, knowledgeable and very reasonably priced compared to two competitors quotes. Had a daikin would buy Panasonic every time now. The silicone coating which covers the "motherboard" prevents circuit issues caused by gecko urine (very common qld problem!)

Not as good as my PKR model
After having a Panasonic E24 PKR installed in my lounge and using it for a year in basically set and forget mode, I decided on a smaller model for the bedroom, thinking it would be similar in its performance but this RKR model is a completely different beast.
In QLD we only use aircon for cooling, and this new model does the job of cooling down the bedroom very efficiently, as does its bigger brother in the lounge/dining, but there the similarities end.
The new RKR doesnt seem to use its people sensor in a logical way, nor do the various mod...Read more

Consistently good product!
I replaced a previous Panasonic air conditioner with the CU Z24RKR model and so far it has been going very well! The heating is just right for our home and I'm hoping it is much more economical than the old model which went well for 12 yrs. The only reason the old one was replaced due to noisey indoor unit as a result of incorrect installation. The new model has some great features with Econonavi and a filter to help with better air. The indoor unit is good with no harsh noise when Aircon on high speed. A good product I would recommend.

Good quality product
The unit works perfectly in hot and cold weather and I reckon it is energy efficient.
The noise level is acceptable but not as good as diakin.
I have three units installed and so far no issues and will update down the track if anything changes.
Remote control is old style and not as good as some other manufacturers.

Excellent Air-con
We have always had Panasonic air conditioners at home and the office and I have always been happy with them. We decided to buy this model for our new house as we have just had a baby and I was especially interested in the air purifier technology built in. I have also been quite impressed with Panasonic after sales service. An older model we had about 4 years ago stopped cooling. The unit was still under the standard 5 year warranty at the time and a service tech was at the house the next day and fixed the problem within the hour. I have been a happy Panasonic customer for years and highly recommend the ECONAVI airconditioners.

Average / underwhelming
We use the Z15RKR in a combined lounge/dining room/kitchen area (<40 sq metres) being the 'front end' of our townhouse. It was recommended by 2 installers (one of whom we subsequently selected). Its air con feature works well in summer, but its winter heating capability is unimpressive. We had a Panasonic S60PF ducted ceiling unit installed at the same time for the 'back end' of our townhouse, & conversely it works brilliantly in all seasons! If we knew what we know now, we would only have bought the S60PF & had one of its outlets used for ...Read more
the lounge etc area instead. The Z15RKR user manual is common across 8 different models, so some instructions do or don't apply & you have to figure that out yourself. Also it has 2 sets of on/off timers, but only the first set of timers (eg, morning) work automatically, & the second set (evening) never works (grrh!!!).Similar opinion? Can't live without now
Very happy, quiet machine had a guy install for us
Easy to use remote with glow in dark on/off buttons to help when nighttime.
Best investment ever can't go wrong and uses the same amount of power and a plug in electrical heater or air con unit so worth the money

Economical Unit
Purchased this unit in June for heating my living area and it functions perfectly to heat up the area pretty fast and with no noise. Make a click clack sound sometimes which I don't understand why. Easy to use unit with all the temperature controls settings etc. Plus got a bonus gift card $$. Happy so far.

Excellent split system air conditioner
Recently purchased this unit and am very happy with it overall. Heating and cooling is great. Very quiet machine, hardly know it is on. The boys came and installed the unit and were very polite and professional. Easy to use with remote settings, simply push on or off depending on what you are wanting and arrow up or down for temperature control. Love it.

New airconditioner
We are very happy with the new airconditioner installed in our bedroom. Temperature can easily be set and its cooling and heating performance are very good. It is a quiet unit I would say. Installation was done by professionals but it didn't take long either. Overall, it's worth buying this unit.

Great unit!
The best air conditioner I've purchased! The cooling fuction works amazingly well. It gets to set temperature fast. It's extremely quiet and I like the added features such as motion detection to detect activity in the room which then scales the power of the fan accordingly. The heating function works just as well. Highly recommended!

not the quietest
weve got a big room so it works but only for heating so far, vibrates on fan speed 3, fairly noisy fan inside unlike latest mitsi and daiken. the outside unit is reasonably quiet. Installation a bit complicated as the pipes have to be welded for R32 gas apparently. Nano G (got me) has to be turned off all the time or it wont run. Definitely surprised at low electric bill 1st quarter.

Split system ticks all the boxes.
I am extremely happy with this aircon! When it's hot, we turn on the air con, and it does its job of cooling the room really well. My aircon is Eco Navi, but I don't know how this technology works precisely, however as I said, the room is cooled evenly. It's winter right now, and the heater works but does a poorer job of distributing heat as evenly as it did when it was on air con mode. The aircon was slightly noisy on both settings, and the settings on the remote were a little hard to comprehend, however it does whatever we need!

AWESOME, FANTASTIC
Bought couple weeks ago and it runs perfectly, no noise, just gives perfect airflow, I can give easy 5star for this, Its take bit time to change from one mode to another, Perfect product for for my lounge,
The main plus point is motion sensor, so it gives the load only when people in the room, at last perfect choice and awesome aircon till date :)

Hello, I have the Z12RKR and the Z09RKR installed in the kids bedrooms 3 years ago. The first nights we used them they would not cool consistently. It would start off at a correct temp, then warm up over the night. We followed the instructions carefully. They were on cool mode, econavi off and fan on auto. After trying multiple combinations we were never able to get the rooms to stay at a constant temp. We rang the installer who advised that we shouldn't use auto, as it doesn't keep the room consistency cool, but to use a low fan setting. Which we have been successfully using since.
The other day I was cleaning the filters and noticed huge amounts of mould growing inside the unit. The last clean and service was conducted 15 months ago. I rang the installer who stated using low fan settings typically contributes to mould growing, and seemed to think it just needed a clean and service.
I feel like this is a no win situation if I follow what has been advised. What settings should I realistically be using to keep the unit clean and actually cooling at night? Has anyone else encountered this?
I feel auto at night should work when econovi is off?
I understand all units need regular servicing. However I cannot believe this amount of mould would grow in such a short amount of time unless something is wrong. None of our other brand of air conditioners we have purchased in our properties over the years have behaved like this. Thank-you.

Hi Shotang, thank you for your query. Mould build up is due to the environment. Running the unit on any particular mode will not add to this or remove it. We would recommend frequent cleaning of the filters, but also of the whole unit.
Auto will detect the temperature and the unit will ramp down accordingly, and when the temperature rises, turn back on. This is why it would have been suggested to use the product in manual mode, to have the unit consistently running the whole night.
We would recommend at the end of each summer running the unit on a heating cycle (if it isn't used on heat in winter) to dry up any stored moisture within the unit.

Can you please advise what is the highest possible level this unit may be installed on the the wall? ie. What is the necessary clearance from the top of the unit to the ceiling? As I've noticed the unit expands outwards (not so, much upwards) during operation
thanks

This is a question for the installer or electrician but mine is installed quite high up with about a open hand space to the ceiling. I was told this will be ok and I hope it doesn’t cause any issue down the track.
Thanks, is that for this same Fujitsu designer model? When it operates, the front panel extends forwards and up. Is your hand distance enough for this?
