Great service, great house
The workmanship was fantastic, the communication excellent.
Have built with another builder, and found rendition homes cheaper and better quality build.
Will build again with rendition homes. They helped me design the home in my budget. The end result was a well laid out, within cost.
The tradesman they use, were friendly, tidy and went out of there way to make sure I will be happy with the finish result.

Night mare from the start and it's still going on
Horrible builder with rough jobs and quality. Cracks at the ceiling whenever the weather changes, literally have the guys to come over every 6 months to fix the cracks which continues to occurr. Terrible customer service with no responsible to a defect garage door that never function normal from day one. Leaking pipe, roof and uneven hot water temperature, blocked water taps due to construction debris in the pipe and many more. Never ending disaster from day one of getting the keys.

Our deam home is complete
Rendition were the only builder serious about working with our sloping block. They were helpful and communicative, providing inclusions as standard that other builders would charge a lot more for. A couple of slight hiccups at the start were sorted out with a bare minimum of fuss, and compared to some of the horror stories we have heard from other people who have built, we had a pretty good run. Overall quality of the finished home is great, and we couldn't have asked for much better in our forever family home.

Super fast and reliable builders
After months of looking through different builders, we decided to build through Rendition for our very first home. They worked in with our needs, extremely patient and competitive against their competitors, either matching or beating prices where they could. Due to our unique circumstances we had a very short time we needed the house built in and Rendition were more than accommodating. We are extremely grateful for all the hard work from the Rendition staff and in particular, our amazing and dedicated Site Supervisor - we would have been doomed without him.
Thank you Rendition, even though building a home is the most stressful experience of our life, the end result, the walk in the door to see the final result, it made it all worth it.

Excellent communication...
Went with Rendition Homes with a bit of trepidation due to previous reviews highlighting poor communication. Our experience was nothing but positive regarding this aspect of our home build project with any fears being allayed with a timely responses given to any query we made from day one. A bonus to using Rendition Homes was the freedom we had to design our house (this included the slab) without incurring any extra design cost. We found the tradies to be very polite and skillful in their sphere of work throughout their time making our home. We have since moved into (nearly two weeks at time of this feedback) our home and have yet to find anything of significance to give the snagging team some work. After signing, things go down hill
We were sold on rendition homes by meeting and reviewing their show house. As we live in the ACT we were looking for a builder who would build a home to move in to as we could not keep flying from Canberra. The rep was convincing that they do this all the time and that we could take the opportunity to engage them on the preliminary process of design and council approval for a discounted rate of $4500 which would be credited back to us if we sign them to build all good so far, but once we handed over the funds then we are told that they do not ...Read more
provide services like septic tanks, solar, driveways, etc. and that we would have to engage 3rd parties to complete. Then as time moved on and numerous emails they then say they will cover some items and add a builders margin. They then come back and quote $23k just for a septic system, during this time I asked then to hold back as we are not comfortable that they can fulfill our requirements. This went on for numerous months and we finally had enough and asked them to terminate the preliminary contract. I then receive an invoice for $21k which included $15k loss of profit +GST which they say is because we are terminating. Even though we have not signed anything that says rendition homes will commence building, we have not made selections and not finalised the build. So, be very wary if you are about to sign the Preliminary Schedule. I have spoken to other builders in SA and no one ever looks to recover lost profits before they even have a finished house agreed and everything costed, etc. I guess we are going legal to get this resolved.Similar opinion? Post build service
Workmanship, build quality and project planning was first rate.
Post build, Rendition Homes have been terrific with service and remedial action. Two minor matters, the builder were considered, timely and professional with remedy.
I highly recommend Rendition Homes if you're considering a residential build. Their construction technical services team should be lauded for their reasonable, personable commitment to customer service.

Promise fulfilled
Rendition homes is value for money. It shaped my dreams to reality and I got what I talked and asked from them. Staff is good and nice to talk and tradies also very courteous and quite experienced. Build time is also genuine. I am very happy to build with Rendition homes. I will definitely recommend them to anyone looking to build new home and if I build again I will surely contact them again.

off to a bad start
We have only just signed up for a "preliminary services fee" which purports to provide "final plans" -and for the price it should be. However, after being advised to ensure we have read everything and ensure all comms are via email, all of a sudden even before we have preliminary plans - the "Inclusive and Collaborative Process" seems to have disappeared. The perfect home
We are very happy with our new home. The workmanship is outstanding and when or if we had an issue the staff were quick to resolve the problem, not that we had many, All the Staff and tradesman were all so helpful with the hundreds of questions we had. The build moved along nicely and finished earlier than anticipated. The work sight was kept extremely clean and tidy. We will recommend Rendition homes to anyone wanting to build.

A nightmare process from the start, but a good build
We commenced our journey in June 2015, we stated that we had not bought nor built a house before so to give us in depth detail so we can understand the process better. The sales rep was great to start with, then once we signed the initial contract things were missed, not communicated to us or we were told "sorry that's an additional payment" as he laughed smugly to us. xtremely poor. It felt as if he was happy to have had us to sign, then didn't care much about our needs or understanding. Our site supervisor was very hard to communicate with too. I found him to be extremely rude and intimidating. The house is a great build despite the negativity, but we had numerous issues before we moved in and still have other things waiting to be fixed. First home has turned into a dream home
When building a first home you want it to be perfect. I ended up selecting Rendition Homes because the quality of the finishes in their display home was far superior to any other builders. They also guarantee display home quality with their builds so you can feel secure knowing the quality is going to be great. ly helpful and accommodating for some minor changes that needed to be made in order for my external contractors who put in my air conditioning unit. I've been living in the house for a couple of months now and noticed a few small defects, however Rendition offer a 3 month defects warranty and have been extremely prompt with fixing up things. Rendition has a very rigid process for building houses, at times I wished I could bypass some of the processes, however it does show their professionalism in sticking with their processes to ensure their high quality outcome. The build process seemed to take a long time, however they did meet their build deadline and I would rather things be built properly and take longer. I paid for an external building inspector to review the build throughout the building process, they only picked up on a few things which Rendition promptly resolved and the inspector commented that overall the number of issues was far less than other builders. The customer service was always outstanding, everyone in head office was friendly. Their selections process is done in a studio called the Modello Studio and they have an interior designer (Angela) who was extremely helpful who made the selections process much simpler than I expected. I would definitely use Rendition again if I build another house in the future and have already recommended them to friends and family who are looking to build.Similar opinion? Our First House
We got very close to the house we wanted with Rendition. We did have to go over our budget a little but in the long run it will all be worth it. We did have a problem at the start with sales consultant who promised us things but didn't deliver so make sure you get everything in writing. The build was really good. Great contractors who were very friendly and accommodating to our needs. All in all a good experience.

The end result is better than we thought!
There was a few teething problems during council approval and obtaining finance but in the end the final product was outstanding. From the time the build started we have been very happy with rendition and especially with their workmanship.. The quality and finishes of the home are like no other new home we have seen! Everything we chose which is renditions standard is amazing as well. Very happy customers.

Not a Transparent Company
Once you sign with Rendition Homes you will be bound by the biased HIA contract. Their customer service will be- "refer to your contract' (Get a lawyer now if you have signed up with them). The advice they give you is not professional and will cost you more to build. Things to look out for:
-The affordability guide (This is the hook to get you in. we are about $50 000 over that so far)
-Discounts will be offered, but you must sign now to receive them (Pressure tactics)
-Larger deposit required (This is so you will not walk as easily)

An excellent experience!
In September of 2012, we came to the realisation that it was time to demolish our home of some 30 years and start anew. We commenced the task of finding a builder who would be willing to work with our draft plans to build two separate free standing homes on our subdivided block. We visited countless other show homes and building companies and finally decided on Rendition Homes.
Our old house was demolished in June 2013, the build commenced, in spite of extreme heavy rain, in September 2013 and handover occurred in May 2014.

A fantastic home with an enjoyable building process
We were extremely happy with the final product and quality of our home. There was excellent attention to detail, and because of this, it is exactly as we had imagined it. The tradies we encountered along the way were always friendly and respectful. The minor hiccups we encountered along the way (which is to be expected when building) were overcome quickly so we could just move forward with our build.

- Top quality materials - kitchens, bathrooms, doors, walls, windows, roofing - and this is their standard product!
- A well advised design process from block/floor plan to colour selection - I can't recommend this enough
- With top tradesmen, building on our hillside with bed rock in a similar time frame to our previous build
- The best building service I've had from free floor plan consultation to finish - above and beyond expectation
- Rendition worked with us to ensure the project went ahead when we had finance issues post contract

Highly recommend
This is the first house we have built with Rendition Homes. We have built and renovated 10 homes over the years and one also won a HIA award.
I found all staff and trades easy to work with. Build time was about right but the design/development approval took a little too long, but this was a difficult shaped block to have maximum house and keep within budget, but it was achieved. The standard selection range was excellent.
We currently live in a house built by one of Adelaide's top builders and our son built with a very large but cheap Adelaide builder and I can proudly say Rendition Homes is who I would recommend.
We are very happy with the Quality and Price.

Why didn't you rectify the problems as they occurred, I will never understand that. Katty1 specifically addressed that over and over again throughout the build but Rendition homes didn't step up at all during that time ? That is not good management. No point saying we are now looking at it as I believe she sent all the problems through the right channels.

Hi i would like to know when your company is going to be fixing my fence that they 'accidentally' knocked down. Its been months abd the useless site supervisor hasnt updated me at all despite my patience through this inconvenience. He has my number & ignores all communication. I have 4 kids 3 are non-verbal autistic & run & i also have 2 dogs. I had to harass the supervisor when the doggy fence was initially put up as my kids & dog could easily escape underneath it, they cane out said it was fixed & it was still not done correctly & was unsafe. I was told my fence would be fixed in a few days, its been Over 2 months, not good enough. If im not contacted about this matter asap i wont hesitate to go to Today Tonight or my local PM.

old "update with no information" process continues, and, despite being advised that the planning application has been lodged, it hasnt, and, the plans provided to us for planning approval show imaginary landscaping, but no site levels or details of retaining walls, or colour schemes. And amazingly, Rendition have decided to "honour" the contract they entered into to develop our plans, even though we havent committed to getting them to build our home. We have invited Rendition to address our concerns with the potential for a future build contract, but it appears they are not interested. But for the fact we have paid for the service, I would not persist with rendition any more, yet, there is still time for them to address this- maybe they will, maybe they wont......
