Well Worth The Wait!
From the first time we stepped into a Rendition Homes' display home we felt it was right for us. The finished results were great and the staff made Rendition Homes easy to deal with. Unfortunately the council we dealt with made life difficult (like 20 months for final approval) but once we got to the "building" process it was relatively plain sailing. Our site supervisor was easy to deal with and they welcomed our input throughout the build. Administration staff kept us informed and were able to deal with 'issues' as they arose. The workmanship was sensational!! The tradesmen used were friendly and informative. We are often asked would you build again with Rendition Homes? Our answer is always a resounding "YES"!

Good Quality Home, built to specification
We recently built a home and the product is exactly what was on paper. Site supervisor a little hard to get hold of, but when we pointed stuff out to him it was taken care of promptly.
Not a perfect process, home building never is. sometimes a little slow in responding to us. But Rendition staff always answered our concerns. Very pleased with the result. Quality materials, well insulated, built the correct way. When we pointed out mistakes, they were quickly rectified.
As far as using tradies, we used them for most everything and saved a...Read more
few dollars. But if you have the money to pay the extra builder fees, the time and hassle savings would be worth it. Of course sourcing it through the builder costs more, that is true of any builder, not sure once again why some of the reviews here are complaining about it. Maybe they have not built before? Yes I would recommend Rendition. Very pleased with the results.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Quality built home
I found Rendition's selection process was great and they gave us the flexibility to use our own plan and design ideas. We asked a lot of questions prior to signing the contract and made sure we had as few variations on our contract as possible (to avoid any surprise costs). During the construction phase, the tradies and site staff were always friendly, professional and answered any questions we had. I would recommend Rendition Homes to anyone looking at building a quality home.

Nightmare continues
Well, I don't know where to start. The few positives are, the site supervisor was great, managed the build fine and the tradies used on site were fantastic, easy to talk to, and helped with any inquiries we had, more than I can say for Rendition Homes staff. The sub contractors did a good job on the home but that's where the positives end.
Pulling teeth out, seems less painful than dealing with Rendition homes. The build has only now been completed, since the start back in June. My advice to anyone looking at building or first home buyer, d...Read more
o not go with Rendition Homes. They are not worth the effort. If already in the process of building with them, check your contract throughly, as their only answer will be to refer to the contract. Make sure no changes have been made by staff, that you have overseen like us. Some things were removed that were on previous contract. They don't help with any inquiries. The only company I know where customers are handing over thousands of dollars for no customer service. It feels like they are doing you a favor than the other way around. You have to keep chasing them for information on progress, payments etc, otherwise you hear nothing, if we didn't go around the house from time to time to check, we would still be waiting for the keys. Office staff have no manners and company will charge you interest if late, as they set ridiculous time frames, even if you let them know in advance or just wanting to find out an inquiry, even if it's not your fault. Other friends went with other builders and completed their homes quicker than ours with no troubles and even when they were late on payments, they removed the interest when it was their fault. You don't get the same treatment with Rendition. The only time you hear from them, is when they want more money. I don't mind that our build time took longer, so long as it's built right, but their office staff are very poor.1 comment

Beware...Stay away from this company
We had an almost identical experience with the other reviewer (Homeowner1 on Sep 30, 2013) when signed up with this builder. So obviously this is the way they do their business. These guys just don't understand the meaning of 'fixed price'. Before you signed a contract, salesperson would assure you that it's the price that you are going to pay. Once you signed a contract, you will realize that it will cost you a lot more. They will hit you with variations (in our case 25K) and the way they determined the price is very dodgy (more on that later)...Read more
. No customer service whatsoever. When they say weeks, it's actually means months and there's never been any effort from their side to explain why/what the delay is. We are the one who had to chase them up every time. There's no transparency in their pricing. It took them 2 months just to get the pricing for the variation. However, less than 2 weeks later price change without notice. They would try to cheat, mislead and rip you off in every chance they had got. We understand that every business want to make a profit. Nobody works for free, but we would rather to take our business to a honest company. We ended up pulling out from them during pre-construction after paying thousands. However we still think that it's a good decision since the trust is not there anymore and it's not worth the risk. If you can't even trust them during pre-construction, how can you trust them to build you a house.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Questions & Answers
Scott B.asked
Why didn't you rectify the problems as they occurred, I will never understand that. Katty1 specifically addressed that over and over again throughout the build but Rendition homes didn't step up at all during that time ? That is not good management. No point saying we are now looking at it as I believe she sent all the problems through the right channels.

Hi i would like to know when your company is going to be fixing my fence that they 'accidentally' knocked down. Its been months abd the useless site supervisor hasnt updated me at all despite my patience through this inconvenience. He has my number & ignores all communication. I have 4 kids 3 are non-verbal autistic & run & i also have 2 dogs. I had to harass the supervisor when the doggy fence was initially put up as my kids & dog could easily escape underneath it, they cane out said it was fixed & it was still not done correctly & was unsafe. I was told my fence would be fixed in a few days, its been Over 2 months, not good enough. If im not contacted about this matter asap i wont hesitate to go to Today Tonight or my local PM.
Thanks

This was an addition to the original statement made back in 2013, till now, nothing has changed, office staff are so disorganised. Keep getting different answers by different people on various things,... Read more
had sooo many issues with the contract, advising for a fixed price and being confirmed in person and email, only find out later the prices to increase by $20000, nothing else was added, just the price. Very dishonest and deceitful. Contract was changed multiple times, once items were removed after we signed the contract in regards to some overhead cupboards, luckily we picked up on it to add it back. Even though we went through the contract with them, they advised it was a clerical error and wanted to again charge extra, we advised no, as was already agreed with their staff members to be included in the price before, hence everyone signed off on it in the first place. It has been a long nightmare to now only be finally over. 2 very long years.
