Sales call to purchase NBN from Spintel
Too early to comment here, connection scheduled for late next week, but sales call was handled professionally by John, in a friendly and competent manner. We are looking forward to a reliable service at a competitive price. The connection was scheduled with minimal delay, no more than a week.

Customer Service is TERRIBLE.
I have been trying to get to talk to someone at Spintel about my new NBN connection that was attempted to be installed on Friday, but an NBN box fault in the street meant the service did not work.
I have been trying to get in touch with Spintel to check on current work since 9.30.
Been on hold for hours. Disconnected before any person actually takes the call.
Email to support returned as not a valid address, despite copying from their site.
Appalling service and I'm not even connected to them yet.
By close of business Monday they had finally contacted me and have promised to update me today (Wednesday) about NBNCO response time.

My praise and heartfelt appreciation to Carol for Assisting Me.
I had been unable to access "My Account" on the Spintel website and was assisted by Carol. Carol went above and beyond to fix the problem doing numerous checks leaving no stone unturned. She is a HUGE assett to Spintel and it is because of her and other staff like her I have been with this company for over 10 years. What a lovely lady she is and so incredibly competant, I am incredibly grateful to her. Please acknowledge her for her kindness and expertise. I was very skeptical, but could not be happier.
Despite my reservations because of reviews - the majority of those positive appear fake as too similar, and those critical have really had a bad run, I was very skeptical. From my personal experience I am very impressed, could not have been any more efficient or professional. Never thought I would be saying that about any Telco service. I hope this verified review may give people more confidence in making a decision, I wish I had seem more of these "verified" reviews which would have helped me.

d up all withing 10 minutes. I was told it would take about 10 days (towards the upper end of what is quoted on line), but that was pre Covid 19. In our block of units we had NBN and TPG set up in the basement, so connection was a simple switch over. Modem arrived in 6 days, plug and go, and I had ready for when technician switched over. I got a few emails and text messages from Spintel on updates, could check progress of my install on line but had no need as everything was going smoothly. Got a few text messages plus a real live person :-o from NBN to confirm access for technician and if any Covid 19 issues, connect on day 10. Technician sent a text the day before and rang when 5 minutes away (running early) to see if I was home. Connection all done and up and running in 20 minutes. He did say some people have to wait a couple of hours for changeover of service. I got the 25/5 plan which is all I needed and Spintel the only one offering this plan, and at $49.95. Technician showed me on his test equipment I was getting a full 25/5 which I thought was a bit of coincidence, but as long as I got about 65-70% of speed I would have been happy. Previously got around 8400 with TPG ADSL2. He said that some people in top floor of high block of units only get a small % of speed chosen. He said that my copper line in unit was good and I could get full 100 Mbps plan, and line good for 140 Mbps. Took a little time to set up but O.K. at the moment. Customer service girls where excellent as they kept me well in formed all the way. Very patient and did explain for the connection why it was taking so long

Would prefer a faster speed but only have fibre to the node.
I have had many drop outs over the years. Most were rectified by spintel . However one major fault was rectified by a telstra sub contactor. He found 4 faults in the existing copper main within 400 metres of my house.
We must have fibre to the house to get high speed reliable broadband.

Great value bundle with home phone with helpful phone support
Using the NBN25 plan with home phone bundle for my senior father, prefect plan to get him connected to the internet while providing great value.
Had an issue with the phone service but technical support were very helpful getting it resolved

Hazel in customer support was extremely helpful.
Customer support is very helpful. I was referred to Spintel by a neighbour. Its a better provider with no drop outs. Highly recommend. I've never had any problems and my neighbor and myelf got a discount for referring a friend.

Great customer service
Had trouble setting up the nbn and changing providers but the tech support was very helpful and patient and spent a long time talking me through the technical aspects i had trouble with.

Pathetic and terrible service
I provided my information to two separate people. I haven't received any confirmation, they are both aware that i am a new client and still haven't been able to use any internet because of connection issues and installation. I can't get in contact with anyone when i call, i receive a call and im put on hold for 30 minutes and then it hangs up. While i am on hold there will be 12 people in the cue and then 20 minutes later i'm told there are 15 people in the cue... what the crap kind of business are you running and how the hell do you call this ...Read more

Happy replacement of ADSL2
Complex procedures to accomplish transfer of ADSL2 connection to NBN connection accomplished. Internet working fine and Phone connection also working fine. Spintel's Technical personnel worked diligently to make it all happen.

Extending Contract
I am away from home and stuck in southern NSW. I phoned Spintel and wanted to put my account on hold and extend the contract period by 2 months while I am away. This was refused so although i am not at home I still have to pay for the service. I will not be extending my account past the contact period. At a friends place who I talked into joining Spintel who is having issues with dropouts. Takes ages to get through to customer service and he is another one that wont continue past the contract period because of a faulty modem. He has to pay for the replacement which is not right when its fault fitted a different modem and it worked perfectly. Shame because the service itself is good for the money.

don't deliver what they presume
Usually I spend 80 gb a month, signed up for 200 gb, somehow got out of allowance in 20 days, my router Archer MR200 showed that only spend 38 gb. called customer service lots of time with no luck! stay away from this nbn service if you don't wanna have headaches

Terrible
Was a spintel customer for numerous years, always with terrible speeds of around 3 to 4 mbs but spintel compensated this with a cheaper price, come March 2020 without any notification was charged full price plan with no further discounts for the future with the same poor speed on a 25mbs plan, incompetent technical support who told me service was perfect, less than 25% of plan speed is far from perfect, customer service is and has always been poor, wouldnt recommend spintel at full price.

6/4/2020 waiting for tech to arrive 8am to 12pm to finish NBN connection. 1pm NO SHOW! Been on the telephone from 11am and am sick to death of hold music. Also left number for a call back over 2hrs ago.
