Purchased but not travelled yet
I have used the Tick internet booking site previously and each time found them to be good value. It is easy to decide on cover level and their internet site works fine. I compare insurance products carefully and this time around I actually read the Tick product disclosure statement from cover to cover. I liked the fact that existing medical conditions of possible concern could be nominated and an extra (in my case very reasonable) premium paid, with everything clear and upfront, instead of being hidden in the fine print or rejected outright (...Read more
and easily missed) as some other insurers do (I have checked). l should add that I have been fortunate enough never to have actually made a claim in 45 years of overseas travel. I am an experienced international traveller and this is a real review.

Outstanding
Exceleent, fast, friendly, efficient service. Needed to claim while on a recent holiday in Greece due to an accident and Tick Insurance were there every step of the way With us. Constant liaising via email (on ship so couldn’t call due to service) Tick made a very stressful situation smooth and comforting. I also praise their quick action In rearranging our flights home to Brisbane & ensuring my travel companions Medical needs were met. And all out of pocket expenses due to this injury we’re reimbursed a few weeks after arrival home. Except of course for the excess amount of about $200. As per insurance tier purchased.

Worst insurance company
Price was reasonable. However when it comes to claims, they are the worst. For a medical claim of under $200, they takes long time to process. And when you ring them to check after 3 weeks after submitting additional document as requested by them, the phone consultant keeps saying to wait and wait. They just wanna get you off the phone. Bad customer service. Won't purchase again!

Terrible, dishonest business practice
I have rated this Insurance Company with one star, because there is not any other option to rate this Insurance Company any lower.
During our summer holidays in Europe we had bad experience with theft some items
we bought in Greece ( two shirts a pair of shoes) and the jewellery I have bought to my wife many years ago. Haven’t started the trip yet
Easy to obtain a policy online. Really liked the simple format of medical questions. Hubby finally has no pre-existing illnesses. Therefore our policy was a very reasonable price for a change. We had no loyalty to any firm previously.

It’s great to find a company not charging high rates because we are over sevtenty
I have used this insurance company three times now and have not had to make a claim... a lot of companies will not insure us or put a very high rate on us because of our age.. very easy to do the cover on line.

Disappointing
Easy to buy insurance online. Unfortunately when I needed to make a claim I found the insurance to be disappointing I had to change my flights due to a family bereavement and they turned down my claim due to the family member being in the wrong country.

Cruise travel insurance.
First time purchasing Tick Travel insurance, have used other companies for various cruises. Very competitive price and speedy answer to my email and questions. Policy was easy to set up and cannot comment any further about claims, as only new to Tick insurance.

great for pregnancy cover
First time to use this company, due to being 7 months pregnant. Seemed to be good value for money given the extra requirements for travelling while pregnant. We are about to submit a claim, so hopefully that also goes smoothly.

So easy to get peace of mind
The set up for getting quotes was very easy which means that we are able to go on holidays with out the worries of not being insured so far we have not had to make any claims and we hope that it stays that way but we defiantly would not travel overseas with out adequate insurance.
Because of the simplicity of setting up our insurance cover I have not looked elsewhere for a quote for our last 2 holidays

Hi there, I purchased your insurance for my trip to Asia. However on the day where I was supposed to fly out from Singapore, I fell ill and was deemed unfit to fly for 3 days by the doctor. I have sent numerous emails but have not received any response regarding my return flight.
Am I supposed to book my return flight and claim upon arrival in Australia ? Would appreciate your prompt response.
