Disappointed couldn’t transfer
While at first I thought this policy was good value, it turned out to be costly. With our travel plans postponed due to Covid-19 I requested that our travel insurance be transferred to when we travel next. This request was denied and no monies returned.
When all other parts of our holiday were refunded or vouchers for future use given, disappointing that Tick couldn’t offer the same.
Of note, my Mums travel insurance was fully refunded.
I’d be concerned with Tick if I ever had a claim.

Do NOT use this insurance company!!
I purchased this policy long before Covid had become an issue. My travel plans have been cancelled so I had contacted Tick to see if I could get a refund or credit and absolutely no response except for one which says you are not covered... I have never been treated so badly by a company.. I will never recommend or use this insurance company again to anybody I know.. After many emails I still have not received a message back.. Disgraceful Customer service. :(

Rip off insurance Company
This company refuses to give credit for future travel when I cancelled due to global health crisis. Airlines, tour companies, air b&b were honourable with giving us credit. Time for a class action against Tick Insurance!

Total Rip Off. Avoid These Cowboys
Airlines have cancelled flights and offered a credit for future use. I am unable to use this credit, so it means zero to me in terms of value. Tick Insurance see this as a suitable option, and advised I am not almost $5000 out of pocket. Top cover, you are having a laugh. Find a reputable insurance company and avoid the ones who are trying to keep your money, and hide from paying out anything they should.

were under belief covered ourselves for. Its total misrepresentation of a product. Top cover, flights cancelled, no refund. A credit is sufficient. No its not. Sorry I changed insurers
Purchased policy for travel after seeing cheaper prices, however that turned out to be a very costly mistake.
After making a claim, they told me the reason they would not pay, and that reason was that the destination of my travel was listed as do not travel, well that is a lie, straight out. It never was.

Long Delays On Claims
I am currently in the process of making a claim through Tick for cancelled flights from Covid19. Although I understand the increased demand on there claims team I have now been waiting over a month to hear anything since submitting my claim. I have emailed & called 4 times but never hear anything back about the progress of my claim. You would have thought that after purchasing a top cover service they would be more on the ball as there was certainly no delay in them charging my credit card when I took out there policy. I am just glad that I am not stuck in a overseas hospital & having to rely on Tick Insurance to organise my repatriation.

Crooks. Dishonest. Thieves. Don't touch them
Flight cancelled due to Covid. Airline gave full credit. Nothing to do with Trick Insurance. Insurance refuse to change date to coincide with new travel. Cite disclaimers that were not on site when booked and proof supplied. Trick insurance have Feefo reviews but won't enable me to leave one. Authorities have been made aware of their dishonest and unprofessional conduct. BUYER BEWARE. PS: No doubt they will post a smarmy comment "Please contact our complaints dept etc. Did that. Still refuse to honour the contract I had with them.

Very poor
This business is a scam and should be deregistered. My cruise was cancelled and the insurance not used however tick will not refund the premium paid because the cancellation happened after their cooling off period. d that tick have screwed me. So I have paid for something that I did not use. It appears that Tick scam their clients and then lie to them. As with other reviews this is one of the only companies not offering full refunds for travel cancelled due to Covid. Contact the complaints line and ombudsman together everyone to get a result.

Disgusting!
They would not refund our cover because our cooling off period had expired! How ridiculous. We paid in full three months before an international travel ban was put in place from the Australian Government due to the Pandemic.

Feel Cheated

They kept my money for a service not provided
Our cruise and flights to the cruise and back were cancelled because of COVID-19 and level 4 travel ban. Tick Travel Insurance refused to allow us to cancel our travel insurance and took our money for a service that they have not provided, although we had absolutely no control over the cancellation of our travel.

Company refuses to refund travel insurance despite travel bans caused by Carona virus. Insurance was purchased last year before Carona Virus existed. At a time when people are put of work and need assistance this shows a complete disregard towards people.

DO NOT USE TICK EVER!!! You only have to look at previous reviews to see how bad this company is. Emailed them about cancelling policy over 3 weeks ago 29th march as trip was cancelled for mid april. It took until the 20th of april for them to get back to me to let me know i was now outside the window to make a claim. 3 WEEKS FOR 1 EMAIL, and now conveniently im unable to make a claim. But its truly amazing when i emailed them back yesterday they gotten back to me within 1 DAY. I find that unbelievable. There are a few words to describe companies like this. JOKE

Tick are an absolute nightmare and do everything possible not to process a claim
WA - you send them the same info multiple times and they can't even be bothered to read it. Instead they delay your claim, multiple time' by coming back multiple times and asking for the information you've already provided them - multiple times. To have the person processing the claim say they have no access to my submitted claim or my original email sounds like a lie. Border line criminal. They do not respect their own contract.

rcles now wanting me to cancel accomodation that is non refundable. Despite on the invoice/receipt provided says - no refund for cancellation, to modify or not show up. The complaint consultant, Jodie suggested these accommodations may allow me to reschedule for a future date. ie MODIFY!!!!. Absolutely no help in a difficult time
We were caught in Thailand during the Covid 19 crisis. We had purchased travel insurance in 2022 and Australia closed borders while we were in Thailand. We had multiple flights cancelled and had to cut our trip short by a week to be able to get home. Not only could we not contact tick from overseas, once we got home they refused to cover any costs we had incurred. The service people are friendly, but they offered no help and we ended up thousands of dollars out of pocket. Will never insure with tick again.

Hi Nev, if you purchased your policy before 4:00pm on 31st January, and your policy included cancellation cover, then you are eligible to claim for cancelling your trip, although it sounds like perhaps you are rescheduling instead of cancelling. Therefore, I cannot advise on the outcome of your claim, and I would recommend you lodge a claim. I purchased this cover in October 2022 for a trip in May. We are postponing this trip due to COVID. My cover does include COVID-19 events. I will be taking this trip - to exactly the same destinations and exactly the same travel duration - but a simple transfer of dates will need to apply. I have emailed customer service weeks ago however as yet to receive a response. There is nothing mentioned in my T&C's to indicate that a date change cannot apply. In fact - I'm sure a lot of policies have date changes applicable seeing as people purchase travel insurance before travel dates become firm. This request is being made before the commencement of my trip. Please advise on this and how a travel date change can be applied.

I think if you go into your booking, it should allow you to change the dates, if not, just get in contact with the actual place you are booked into and see if they will allow a credit to be held for you.
And they would probably be able to change your dates also. If its non-refundable you may have just lost your money, Good luck.
