We are a Medium size business and had 6 of these units installed throughout our various kitchens. Our staff enjoy being able to get cool filtered drinking water or having boiled water available during various times of the day without needing to turn on a traditional kettle.

The cold water isn't that cold even on the coldest water setting. The unit is nice and compact though compared to the previous unit. The boiling water side works well, no issues there.

Product has faulted from day 2 of being installed. now just out of warranty.
Do not buy this product for the money absolute rubbish.
Unit continuously going in compressor over run mode and condenser over temp mode. Refer attached photos to see that faults have
been reoccurring since 2 days after unit was installed. Cleaned side screen (not blocked) Cleaned condenser- some lint but not to bad.
Checked compressor, compressor not running within the specs I would like. Ranging from 20psi to 30psi. Referred to management for
extended warranty assistance- request denied

I have made 6 service calls in 12 months of owning a HydroTap. The product design and reliability is very poor. All my issue related to the sparking water and I've had 2 regulators, a pump, three CO2 bottles and finally the whole unit replaced in this time. The service centre has been good each time however it has taken a lot of service calls to sort out my issue.

Unit makes hot, cold and sparkling water reliably. My family uses everyday. (We have 4 kids)
The service and warranty is excellent. We have had exactly two service calls in 1.5 years. One was for a fault code. The other was user-error (a kinked line under our sink from someone stuffing stuff under). Both times they came on site (Darrell -So California) and all was covered under warranty. I am super impressed with the service and professionalism.
The hot water is piping hot. Ready for teas, cup-o-soup etc..

Buying the unit from Harvey Norman was the only easy thing. After waiting for the installation to occur in December 2020, the installer (a ZIP person) tried to call off the installation on the day due to a lack of interest so close to Christmas. After a long call with him (after getting his details from the Customer Service Team), he attended and installed the product. The installation went well and the technician was nice once here.

I’ve had my Zip rap for 4 years. I have had numerous problems from flashing lights, leaking valves to not working and conned into an $800 per year maintenance contract. 6 months into the contract it is playing up again. Even though I paid $800 they still want to charge me $99 + GST and $42 + GST every 15 mins for the technician.

Extremely poor customer service, even though on the pre-paid platinum service. Don't buy if in TAS
Work for a company that has the G4 system, as we are large, we pay for the platinum hydro-service. This is supposed to be them coming 1/4ly without us making any bookings - we have been without sparkling water since March, we have had 2 dates booked and confirmed for maintenance to come and still a no-show. Still can't get a time and date for repair 2 months on from original request. Wouldn't suggest this product if you live in Tasmania. Only giving 1 star as it is required to give something, zero would have been preferable.

I have a Zip water Sydney installed in my home and I have had in excess of 3 service calls during the warranty period. I have paid a fortune for this product and it has been substandard at best. I have lodged a request for a replacement system in March 2021, it is now May 2021. I was advised to put it in an email which I did on the 19th of March, I have followed up with in excess of 10-15 times with no response or action at all. I am requesting a changeover unit under warranty and phoned on countless occasions and not one call back or reply email. Lodged a complaint with Dep of Fair Trading. Product substandard and customer service is appalling.

1 ordered 1 x filter on the 8/4/21 online. As 3 weeks had passed and no filter had been delivered I phoned zip customer service to check it was on its way. Zip checked my order number (which I received from zip via e-mail) saying that order number does not exist. I explained I had been debited $255 on the 9/4/21 for the filter which they have no record of!!! We were happy with it for about 3 years, with a few breakdowns, but always covered by warranty and then in the beginning of 2022 finally, it broke down. We ordered 2 x cannisters for our sparkling water tap. The company charged us twice for the one transaction. We contacted then on the day in which they had double charged us. Almost 6 weeks later, an email and 5 phone calls, they still have out money and cannot provide an answer as to when we will receive our money back.
The company is a joke.
We are now having to place a dispute through our bank as they clearly do not want to rectify their stuff up.
As you can buy cannisters elsewhere, I will never purchase direct through these guys again and will be recommending the same to others.

It doesn't deliver sufficient carbonation just water with that acid sweet flavour of minimal CO2. I bought this assuming that it would replace my Sodastream and that was a mistake. I’ll keep it brief. I just watched my newest hydro tap fail. They are NOT intended to be reliable. They are mediocre quality and often fail within a short lifespan after installation. The Zip brand is about profits.
In short - save your money. They’re overpriced and not well made. Unreliable and costly - you WILL curse them when your $2000+ item fails in its third year. Zip will charge an arm and a leg for a service guy who knows all too well what to replace because they have huge stickers with phone numbers for GENUINE SERVICE AND REPAIRS. ...

The Zip HydroTap Celsius All-In-One Arc is brilliant!
While not cheap, the Filtered Chilled, Boiling and Sparkling water features are brilliant. We all drink so much more water because it is so convenient and no more bottles in the fridge taking up prime space just to chill water.
The Sparkling water is delicious. Try to find somewhere that has one on display for you to try if you don't believe me! It almost has a sweet taste even though it is just carbonated water. Just the right amount of fizz.
If you are willing to splurge a little this great looking HydroTap is well worth the investment

After numerous calls, emails (with pictures of the leaky duel check back flow), it was determined that a technician from the company had to come out. The technician arrived, after waiting several hours for them, and took one look and said “ I don’t have that part” on my truck. This is the absolute WORST service we have ever received and I wouldn’t advise anyone to purchase from this company.

This company has absolutely terrible customer service and their sales manager is extremely rude. Still waiting for a response to my formal complaint of 3 months ago. Avoid Zip at all costs!

Zip - made to fail !
Don't buy a ZIP Hot Water Unit!
Just over 12 months ago I purchased a ZIP Boiler and it was a big mistake. The red tap assembly which sits on top of the tap that you see in the photo below, is made of plastic. This tap get hot - real hot, as the water is constantly boiling. After a period of time it just breaks off when you try and use it.
Whoever makes cheap crap like this, does so to ensure that it fails and you are up for an expensive repair bill.
Not 24 months warranty
On their website they mention that their products have a 24 months warranty - except when you call up they tell you that it is only 12 months because you have used your own plumber.
You can now start to see that zip has a dubious business model.

The water tap shows under normal operation but no water comes out. This has happened for a few times, and I’ve tired what I do before, but no luck this time. How could I fix this?

We have a Zip tap that cost around $1200 to service ....broken down under 20 days again! . Zip still charge a callout fee to come and have a look at what obviously was not repaired properly in the first place.
I'm now stuck with a tap that doesn't work
after spending so much for repair!

We installed one 6 years ago and have had nothing but trouble with it. Two hot water pumps, 4 service calls the latest $265.00. Or pay an annual service fee of $465.00. still have to wait each morning for it to heat. Not impressed.

I have been a Zip product user in several homes and city offices for more than 20 years.
Technically and in appearance the product is very good. Also the technicians I have dealt with have all been very proficient at their job and also very polite.
However since it moved from Crouch ownership, the cost of service calls has become excessive, especially the flag-fall fixed charge of $99 - a real rip-off - before the technician even looks at the device.
