Absolutely the best mobile phone co.
I didn't realise we have so many brain-dead incompetent tech users in Australia until I read the self-confessions right here. Aldimobile has excellent call and data deals and is on the Telstra 4G network. Great reception, great APP and its so easy to create an account, register and activate the SIM online. Absolutely highly recommended !.

ALDI Mobile Customer Service not helpful
I purchased a 365 day prepaid SIM and activated it. Several days later I contacted Customer Service to ask to port my old number. ALDI said it is not possible because my SIM is already activated.
I asked Customer Service why the ALDI Activation screen and the ALDI FAQ on their website did not call out that porting is only possible at the time of activation and not later? This is a lack of transparency & disclosure.

business day. On the 5th business days, ALDI sent an email saying they cannot help and I need to buy a new SIM (the 365 day SIM cost $99 to $150 at ALDI). There is no response regarding the lack of disclosure from ALDI. Obviously I will not be buying another SIM from ALDI Mobile.

Good network but renewals are lousy
I find it has good coverage and all that, but their notifications about plan renewals are a bit lousy. I'd expect some kind of notification in advance than the day its due.

Very Happy with my Aldi Mobile sim /data $25
I am happy with the mobile sim and data on my Aldi $25 package.
The change over with my own number was so quick and easy.
I used to be with Optus on a plan, including phone, but when the contract was finished i found Aldi had a great value sim/data, so moved across. The only thing i miss, is that Optus had a really great feature so that you could donate your unused data before it expired to young Australians who could benifit.

One of the best services I subscribe to.
Been with Aldi mobile for 2 years now. Great value. Never had ANY issues because I learnt how to use a smartphone FIRST n read all the info.
Light user who accumulated 25gb r'over data. Currently in hospital and that r'over data is now in play. A godsend. I have 6 friends & relatives on the same Aldi plan as I. The only one who ever complained, initially, is technically challenged, won't take the time to learn and will therefore forever be dependent n stressed out.

Aldi mobile is a great deal if you choose the plan that suits you
I have 3 Aldi mobile plans. One for each of the pre teen grandkids who can talk and text all day, every day for only $99 a year each(the special pack occasionally on sale at Aldi). Sure, there is not much data included but they don't need data as cannot use at school and have wifi at home. I too have Aldi and have no problem with the service. Everything is online, easy.

The data prices might be tempting but don’t be fooled. You’ll always have1 bar all throughout the day and if you’re lucky at night it goes up to 2 bars

I cant use my sim card
After sometime I leave sim card out of phone and put back in My phone could not detect it. Customer service didnt help me change a new sim. Not very helpful.

There are some serious issues with this service.
Firstly customer support is virtually nonexistent. And that would not matter if you didn't need them, however. When you recharge automatically your data usage every month, there is a delay of up to 4 or 5 hours, or you have no data at all.
The only way to avoid this is by having enough money on your account on your phone calls, so that would be used up instead of your data allowance.
In short the whole system is confusing and the end result is you won't have data service every month for 4 hours and it's quite ridiculous.
There is no one to call in customer service. You just submit some online ticket and somewhere in the world. Someone answers you with a very complex result with no offer to fix it or solve the problem.

Good value for money
My husband and I have both the prepaid $25 L value pack which gives us each18GB data/30 days and unlimited national and txt and international calls and txt to some countries. We use it to call family and friends in Germany on mobile and landline phones which makes it very convenient and excellent value for money
Unused data rolls over with no problems, when recharged in time. So far coverage all over Australia was very good except in Streaky Bay in South Australia where we had zero reception and a few NP in Vic. Just be aware to never use the pay as you go credit for internet. That is very expensive compared to the value packs and make sure to recharge in time to rollover your data to the next month.

Best Prepaid Mobile Phone Offer On Earth
I have literally hunted the best prepaid mobile plan offer to the core, and this is the one. I just upgraded with ALDI and chose the $25 plan that has 18gb with an expiry of 30days.
All other prepaid offers only have 28 day expiry for $30.
The pay as you go plan with aldi is 5 cents per mb.
All other prepaid plans are 7 cents per mb.
You be the judge.

worst customer support ever!
I tried online to activate the ALDI sim. Unfortunately it got locked out. I called the customer service for a resolution, they asked me to send an email request and wait 2 business days to get assistance. Only way to contact technical support is by email, no helpline. Who want to wait for 2 days to activate a sim when there is a number of providers who could give you instance service! I am not waiting!!
Poorest ever response received from a mobile service provider from 3 different countries I lived.

Awful, best avoided
I accidentally selected the wrong plan. My 13 year old daughter ripped through the data on the first plan in no time.
The next issue when I selected the wrong plan was her ability to make calls was disconnected. When I rang Aldi to explain what happened I was met with nothing but arrogance.
When I explained that I a man a single father and couldn't afford to lose this money and could they please help me out, they had no interest whatsoever.
They are best avoided. Never again will I go with Aldimobile.

Aldi customer service and porting numbers
Aldi Customer service is terrible and long wait and porting took me more than 48 hours checked their website and it says it can take up to 10 days to port as if we have time to sit around to wait for porting to happen!

long activation time terrible customer service
1 hour activation is a lie. 36 hours later and still have no connection. Customer service is terrible. They are trained to get rid of people and when pressured to provide answers, are good at saying nothing in more words. Extremely difficult to understand accents from off shore staff. ALDImobile has no respect for its customers.

Buyer beware - no refunds or credits
Buyer beware - my partner selected the wrong plan to re-charge, then selected the right one within minutes. Simple mistake, Aldi have charged for both plans and will not refund the $25 charged for a plan used for all of 2 minutes. Seems like they are all about the money and customer service comes last.

Do not deal with these people they take your data that you paid for and refuse to refund it! I had 44gb left before expires they took it all after I recharged and refused to return it to me lawfully. Had to involve telecommunications company! Terrible customer service they are absolutely useless

Cheap plans - horrible service - hidden extras
Definitely cheaper than Telstra, good for calling NZ, customer service is slow and seems overseas based, English is hard to understand, they do stuff like hang up after waiting for 20 minutes on hold - the Jetstar of Mobile Service.

Why does Aldi Balance & Recharge, an My Account, persist in asking me to recharge after I have already done so? They even acknowledge this via fact email. And none of their 'help' questions cover this. It is most frustrating. As I am very deaf I cannot ring them either.
