can Australia Post please employ people to clear the backlog of postal deliveries. There has been no service for three weeks for Express Post and parcel post.Surely if the backlog is so huge they can employ the thousands of people out of work right now and get the mail/goods delivered.I have two deliveries from 1 April and 4 April outstanding and even though I have logged a request for the parcels to be investigated no response. My local post office has confirned that the backlog is worse than Xmas

Very poor performance

Package was picked up but only turned up 2 days late using Express Post despite a claim of overnight delivery Between Sydney and Brisbane. Tracking was a joke -did not move . I filed a complaint and got an email stating that as the package had now been delivered they were now closing the case - no apology for failing to deliver As promised

Not even worth 1 star

Paid for express post and 4 days later no parcel. Tracking not updated for 2 days. Understand that things are busy with Covid 19 but if you cannot deliver the service promised with express post the service should be removed at this time. Happy to take your money and not provide the service.

Horrible service

published

I live in New Mexico, USA andwas expecting to receive a shipment from Rotec Aerosport in Melbuorne Australia. The shipment was supposed to take 3-4 days because it was shipped international express. The Auspost website reported that the shipment departed Australia on 27 March. To date, there has been no new information on the Auspost website and it is impossible to make contact with anyone at the company.

I have submitted several inquiries to Auspost. All that I get back is canned answers that do not address the question that I asked. What pitifully poor service.

The Auspost service is abysmally poor! I hope that I will never have to deal with Auspost again!

Hopeless

Why not tell consumers that they are incapable of delivering parcels.
Amusing “tracking “ information created by the local kindergarten.
No doubt they have privacy statement, mission statements, worlds best practice
Intentions.
Get the MBA s off the white boards, and give them tricycles to deliver parcels.
Equal first with Telstra for appalling customer service, and stupidity

Had a parcel delivered by TNT Couriers, delivered very quickly and no fuss, and no moronic tracking information .

Misleading and deceptive representations that they deliver items.

No technical support at all. Worst service ever seen. When you tried to contact with them, no one help. But when they send you wrong invoice, no one help fix.

Tracking System doesn't work

published

Item "Item processed at facility" on 1 April. No updates since.
Enquiries with Australia post illicit responses such as "Just because there's no tracking update doesn't mean it's not on the way" and "We don't actually know where your parcel is"
Completely and utterly dysfunctional.

After receiving a refund and the sender having recalled the parcel why was delivery still attempted?

Another delivery, one box of two delivered. No tracking, no answer from AP on whereabouts. Sender advises AP staff have stolen item.

After 9 days, express post is further away than when it started...

published

Express post, despatched from Melbourne to Brisbane, expected delivery in 2-3 days but gave it some slack given situation. No updates online so after 5 days logged a query, my query appears in tracking immediately (still no clue where my delivery is). 3 days after logging my query there is an update that says my parcel is in Adelaide? Tracking and paying extra for express post is a joke - not tracked and not express, aren’t there laws against false advertising? Still hasn’t arrived...(and no further update on tracking)

Parcel from Adelaide to Perth arrived on time. Received a message on my phone confirming it was delivered. Would be great if the parcel tracking was a little more detailed in the transit progress.

Australia Post loses medical equipment

published

We ordered a wheelchair at the beginning of March from Sydney and was told it would be with us on the 6th March. Well that didn't happen and on enquiry to Aust Post and subsequent investigation, it came up as missing.

So the supplier was advised and they sent a replacement which should have been with us by the 2nd April. Australia Posts tracking site says "On Time" - but it is nowhere in sight.

If it wasn't for the fact the receiver is in considerable pain and requires this for mobility, it would be laughable how poor the postal system in this country is.

Update: after some calls further up the chain, the wheelchair finally arrived this morning, with the packaging looking like it had been run over by a truck.

You don’t even attempt to deliver to us directly even when we say we are home! It goes straight to the post office!

Package sent straight to post office as usual. No attempt to deliver directly even when we stated WE ARE HOME. USELESS! Only time it is done correctly is by other services

Unbelievably Bad

published

Parcel has been with Australia Post since 26 March.
They finally logged it on 1 April and advised it would be delivered 8 April
As of 6 April it hasn't left Sydney and the explanation at to why it isn't on its way?
"We can't provide a reason for the delay in fact."
Australia Post don't know why the parcel isn't in transit, they apparently don't care that it's not in transit and they apparently haven't got the slightest intention of ever delivering it.

Now they advise they need 10 business days to ascertain what is going on. That takes us through to the end of April for an item that was supposed to be delivered in 4-5 days.

LOST PARCEL ONCE AGAIN

published

I purchased items through Kogan and they were too small so immediately dispatched them through AUSPOST. Tracking showed a delay in delivery and this has been continuing for nearly two weeks with no communication from AUSPOST. Last year I sent my tax return from Bairnsdale to Maffra and it was delivered at 0750am to a Maffra business as the accountant's office was not open until 0900am. The parcel should have been taken back to the Delivery Centre which did not occur. No apology from AUSPOST as it is FULL of criminal activity and every time I use the service, it happens again!

Stuck in Melbourne... The new norm!

published

Placed 2 orders, one with Target 22 March, the other with Catch March 27. The Target order should have arrived by April 1st at the latest, but the status from the tracking number hasn't moved from Melbourne at all. The Catch order is due arrive by April 8th at the latest.

Tried to email, chatbox, and call Australia Post, with no reply, and just went around in circles with no ability to be able to speak to a human being.

So much for all the stores being closed and being able to purchase online! Whats the delay caused by in Melbourne???? Can anyone shed any light on this as these were orders for gifts for Easter for the kids whilst being isolated.

Love I ordered something from PrettyLittleThing it took 4.5 weeks to arrive in Syd.
The parcel stayed in a Perth facility for 3 weeks until I lodged a complaint then it was actioned and shipped to Syd.
