Melbourne bottleneck??
We all need to be a little chill and understanding because of Covid 19, but Austpost seem to be experiencing problems that other couriers are not. I have parcels coming through daily with a turnaround time of 3 days from Amazon, yet a parcel from Brisbane sent on March 22 has still not arrived in Adelaide 11 days later and has been in Melbourne since March 25. Reading other comments, is Melbourne the problem and are they being selective about package size - only small parcels because it looks good in terms of percentages of parcels delivered on time?
And them, Austpost replies with - "Just so you know, over 90% of late items arrive within 3 business days of their expected delivery date." That not a good target, that's appalling.

Aust Post stuffs up again...
Parcel from Sydney that should have arrived in 2-4 days has been shown as being stuck in Melbourne for 10 days now. These people are totally useless. And the number of letters that I’ve seen delivered to incorrect letterboxes is also a disgrace.

Australia Post needs change
I believe Australia Post is the worst post company in the whole world. It says delivered and it is not delivered. I received mails and parcels mailed to other person living in different address three times. It is always not on time. From Brisbane to Melbourne, a mail needs one month. I can already walk to Melbourne to send the mail. I don't know while till now, no other companies come out.

Completely incompetent
Ordered an item from Sydney > Perth which was sent by the retailer on the 21st of March. Here we are on the 3rd of April & it’s still sitting in the Sydney depot & I have no idea when I’m going to receive it. I know they’re using the excuse of Coronavirus to try & justify their uselessness & why they can’t deliver in an acceptable time frame, but I’ve had no problem with other delivery services & as you can see from all the negative reviews over the years, this isn’t anything new for them.

Unreliable. Avoid Australia Post parcel delivery if you can.
I have been waiting 8 days so far for a delivery from Indooroopilly to Paddington Brisbane - a nearby suburb. Due yesterday it never arrived. The driver reported "wrong address". I reported the failure to deliver to Australia Post but it says the parcel was delivered. After submitting an on-line notification of the non delivery I have received an email that "we are on the case" and will get back asap "usually between 24-48 hrs". Well short of what is expected as Customer Service.

DO YOUR JOB. DELIVER THE PARCEL
This happens every time. I replied to the AusPost text confirming someone will be at home.
I'm watching the tracking saying the parcel is on board for delivery.
A few hours later it says attempted delivery - no one in attendance.
I've been sitting here all day!!! My buildings intercom goes to my mobile phone so no matter where I am if someone pushes that button my phone rings. IT DIDN'T!

Thanks AusPost
Just wanted to take a minute to thank AusPost since they do get a fair bit of negative feedback and I've never thought to add my positive impression.
In my area I've never had a problem with my deliveries, they are always on time & in good condition. The drivers I encounter are very friendly and hard working, sometimes they get creative in hiding my packages so only I come across them. In this tough time they are really doing the hard work and providing an essential service to the community, which I'm really grateful for :)

Never fails to disappoint me
I have ordered items online a lot lately and they all been shipped by Australia post. Some items arrived on time and some are not. Please use startack premium if possible. I looked all the on time items were shipped by startack premium. Those delays and still at the facility for more than 2 days are eparcel. My building manager announced that building management office will no longer accept parcels and I redirect my parcels as the same address before just removed building management office. Been told already redirected, yet tracking number still shows held at the facility instead of redirected. Called to the support and didn’t get help. Please just remove supports department as they are not useful or helpful.

Destroys package then blames customer
I do a lot of online shopping so this is just the latest in a long line of unacceptable behaviour from Australia post.
I had some security equipment ordered and to be sent using Australia post express service, that was a week ago. i call them up to find out where this is at because it is still showing in transit redbank (15 min away from where i live) they said it was redirected to the Brisbane centre to be repacked. now i called them again today to find where it is at now and they said it is being sent back to the sender, reason poor packaging...Read more

umstances. We definitely shouldn't be blaming the sender, though an assessment is necessary for us to make that assumption depending on the contained packaging. Being a well known distribution office doesn't mean mistakes can't happen, I've had glassware sent from a company that I've ordered from before (and awesomely looked after) except this time it arrived with 0 packaging and not separated like previously, breaking on arrival. Hopefully the sender will get in touch with us to follow this up though, and hopefully they will follow up with you also on your order.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Consistently inconsistent
As a small online business I use AusPost to deliver my products.
They initially had a decent deal with EBay, costing $7.55 to deliver my packages. Recently that ended, corresponding to an additional price hike to over $9. They assure you that sending a certain amount of packages/ week after setting up a business account will save you money. Yes, while this is true compared to the new price hike, it's still far more expensive than it used to be.
I have run some quick statistics based on my experiences. About 5% of my deliveries are either dama...Read more
ged beyond use or lost. After recently moving, my new postal system loses about 20% of my deliveries. This is a joke. A hilarious joke, in which I am presented with all responsibility. After filing a packaged that has missed its delivery date by a mile, they inform you that you'll have to wait 5 business days before you are eligible for a refund. They will usually ensure your parcel is magically found and delivered before that 5 days is complete. So you end up with no compensation, a package that is delivered 2+ weeks late and an angry customer (and sometimes a customer who has rightfully filed for a refund). The solution to all of this is to monitor every sale and its delivery and file missing the day after it was supposed to arrive. No worries.. Hang on, why exactly am I paying a premium price for a service that I have to micromanage?Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Irresponsible, unprofessional and zero empathy
I had an eparcel from a vendor sent out on 11 Mar from Canberra to Sydney. It arrived in Sydney on 12 Mar morning, then there was no more updates on the website. I lodged a ticket on 16 Mar and followed up again on 19 Mar when I didn't hear back. I was then informed that the parcel went to Perth on road and will be sent back to Sydney via road again. It's ridiculous that they refused to make up for their mess-up by flying it to Sydney on express terms. The service agent was rude, sterile and had no empathy nor willingness to help out. ustralia Post was totally unprofessional, not taking accountability for their mistakes and not going the extra mile for customers. Update as of 26 Mar 2020: As you can see from the chronology below, the update changes everyday. There's no set Service Level Agreement for a parcel to be delivered and when things go wrong, they can get away. My parcel was sent out on 11 Mar from Canberra to Sydney, today is 26 Mar and it still isn't here. It's not even Christmas Island to Norfolk Island for crying out loud! 19 Mar - was promised it will reach me on 23 Mar 23 Mar - was promised will reach me on 24 Mar 24 Mar - was promised will reach me on 25 Mar 25 Mar - saw online that it will reach me on 27 Mar4 comments

I have waited over two weeks for a parcel being sent from Karratha to Hobart..that's unacceptably slow.
The package was posted form Karratha on 6th March and as of 20th March it has not arrived. Tracking information has been virtually non existent, aside from a note to say 'delayed'. No updated delivery date given or information on where the package might be.

please please do something about your attempted delivery and text message
Took the day off work as my parcel was coming and needed it urgently. I receive a text message at 7am saying my parcel is coming please reply what you want done with it. Didn't see the text til 715am and replied "2" someone will be home. Straight away a text back saying "too late your driver has already been to the home". This is shocking customer service. Constant trips to the post office
Last 9 deliveries were never even attempted. They don't leave the calling card. Just drive near our place and log it as "unable to gain access". Then it goes to one of three post offices up to 6km away. Only with Australia Post/startrack. Every other courier company seems to be able to do it. Telling all companies that I order things with NOT to use Australia post
