Do they hire illiterate drivers?
My parcel was delivered to a totally different address in my suburb. The unit and block numbers were the same but the street names weren’t even close. Luckily the person at the wrong address was honest and contacted me. How hard is it to deliver a parcel to the right place?

Unnecessary and costly detours
A parcel that has been sent from Brisbane CBD to be sent to a South Brisbane address is now inexplicably sitting in a distribution centre somewhere in Sydney. Online tracking still says that parcel is on time to be delivered last Thursday but it’s nowhere in sight. I know there is a delay due to the virus and an increase in online shopping but a (costly) detour interstate is unnecessary and a waste of time. Likely to be a result of inefficient automated systems failing to read the address/post code accurately. So frustrating. I currently have nine separate orders at different points along the delivery journey and none of them are tracking in line with when Aus Post originally told me to expect them.

Terrible
Normally the parcel service to Perth from the Eastern states is substandard, but now it's totally unacceptable. There is no specific information given on the tracking website,or email,or any indication of where parcels are and when they are likely to arrive, just "delay".Postage here is more expensive than elsewhere in the world, and the service is among the worst. And please stop using Covid19 as an excuse. There are many eager unemployed people who you can hire as casuals and you can use trucks!Shame on Australia Post

Slow Express services
Australia Post is only postage services in world where Express post is slower than standard post.
Charging Express services and failed to provide should pay people money back or legal actions should be taken against them in the court.
This is illegal. They are most likely worse than COVID-19.

Australia Post - Very unprofessional and very unhelpful.
Bought items on the 03/04 off Kogan. Received tracking information which said it was in transit on 06/04 in the neighboring suburb and is expected to be delivered on the 07/04 or 08/04. It is now the 17/04 and no more information has been updated. It has now been in transit for 11 days about 5 min drive away from me. How does that work?
Rang customer service and got through after 30min. What a pointless call it was. Customer service reps. phone line was atrocious and kept cutting in and out since she was working from home. Seems as the tracking...Read more

Employ more people
can Australia Post please employ people to clear the backlog of postal deliveries. There has been no service for three weeks for Express Post and parcel post.Surely if the backlog is so huge they can employ the thousands of people out of work right now and get the mail/goods delivered.I have two deliveries from 1 April and 4 April outstanding and even though I have logged a request for the parcels to be investigated no response. My local post office has confirned that the backlog is worse than Xmas

Very poor performance
Package was picked up but only turned up 2 days late using Express Post despite a claim of overnight delivery Between Sydney and Brisbane. Tracking was a joke -did not move . I filed a complaint and got an email stating that as the package had now been delivered they were now closing the case - no apology for failing to deliver As promised

Not even worth 1 star
Paid for express post and 4 days later no parcel. Tracking not updated for 2 days. Understand that things are busy with Covid 19 but if you cannot deliver the service promised with express post the service should be removed at this time. Happy to take your money and not provide the service.

Australia Post MARSFIELD LPO
Well i ordered a jacket from Basketball jersey world on a saturday through Express post. It is Thursday now and i am getting notifications of getting my product delivered today, Finally! Hoping that it will reach me in time i have seen this regular thing at different addresses. Whenever my post is handled by marsfield post office, they never arrive at my doorstep, never give me a call and NEVER EVEN ring the doorbell, EVER! Me and my flatmates are wide awake with so much peace that anyone can hear the doorbell (it is a loud one). I'm very unha...Read more
ppy with my overall online shopping and delivery experience whenever handled by AU post but this particular office is next level sh*t. So if you order and live in Eastwood/Marsfield good luck with these people handling your orders. Oh and when i actually went to pick up the order i saw one hell of a messy office with barely any space to stand as there are big/small packages lying around all on the floor and they never clean it. These must be the unclaimed ones but whatever .Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Horrible service
I live in New Mexico, USA andwas expecting to receive a shipment from Rotec Aerosport in Melbuorne Australia. The shipment was supposed to take 3-4 days because it was shipped international express. The Auspost website reported that the shipment departed Australia on 27 March. To date, there has been no new information on the Auspost website and it is impossible to make contact with anyone at the company.
I have submitted several inquiries to Auspost. All that I get back is canned answers that do not address the question that I asked. What pitifully poor service.
The Auspost service is abysmally poor! I hope that I will never have to deal with Auspost again!

Hopeless
Why not tell consumers that they are incapable of delivering parcels.
Amusing “tracking “ information created by the local kindergarten.
No doubt they have privacy statement, mission statements, worlds best practice
Intentions.
Get the MBA s off the white boards, and give them tricycles to deliver parcels.
Equal first with Telstra for appalling customer service, and stupidity
Had a parcel delivered by TNT Couriers, delivered very quickly and no fuss, and no moronic tracking information .
Misleading and deceptive representations that they deliver items.

Tracking System doesn't work
Item "Item processed at facility" on 1 April. No updates since.
Enquiries with Australia post illicit responses such as "Just because there's no tracking update doesn't mean it's not on the way" and "We don't actually know where your parcel is"
Completely and utterly dysfunctional.

Another delivery, one box of two delivered. No tracking, no answer from AP on whereabouts. Sender advises AP staff have stolen item.

After 9 days, express post is further away than when it started...
Express post, despatched from Melbourne to Brisbane, expected delivery in 2-3 days but gave it some slack given situation. No updates online so after 5 days logged a query, my query appears in tracking immediately (still no clue where my delivery is). 3 days after logging my query there is an update that says my parcel is in Adelaide? Tracking and paying extra for express post is a joke - not tracked and not express, aren’t there laws against false advertising? Still hasn’t arrived...(and no further update on tracking)

Happy with Service
Parcel from Adelaide to Perth arrived on time. Received a message on my phone confirming it was delivered. Would be great if the parcel tracking was a little more detailed in the transit progress.

Australia Post loses medical equipment
We ordered a wheelchair at the beginning of March from Sydney and was told it would be with us on the 6th March. Well that didn't happen and on enquiry to Aust Post and subsequent investigation, it came up as missing.
So the supplier was advised and they sent a replacement which should have been with us by the 2nd April. Australia Posts tracking site says "On Time" - but it is nowhere in sight.
If it wasn't for the fact the receiver is in considerable pain and requires this for mobility, it would be laughable how poor the postal system in this country is.
Update: after some calls further up the chain, the wheelchair finally arrived this morning, with the packaging looking like it had been run over by a truck.

Absolute Disgrace!! Disgusting Behaviour!!
Absolutely disgraceful service from the delivery driver who "delivered" my parcel today. The driver walked up our steps and then threw the item up in the air - 5m across our patio though our open front door onto our hard tile floor.
I was right there watching the entire thing and could hardly believe what occurred.
I understand that social distancing is required at this time but he could have simply left the item on the front patio. There was absolutely no need to throw the item at all!
The item inside was an electronic writing device that...Read more
is extremely fragile. I was right there in front of the door, he could have just told me where he was leaving the item. The package may have internal damage due to the unprofessional and careless way in which it was thrown across the room by the driver.2 comments

OK so COVID-19 has resulted in delays. I'm sure we all understand this.
What we don't understand is why COVID-19 has resulted in Australia Post no longer scanning parcels.
What we don't understand is why Australia Post is working with a "skeleton staff" at a time when business is absolutely booming.
What we don't understand is why Australia Post is still accepting parcels for Express Post and charging the going rate when Express delivery is not being achieved.

Yes well said. Need more staff at this time.
Well stated, I agree! I find the information on website ambiguous and dishonest. And the tracking system is arbitrary and non-transparent. There were deep systemic network issues prior to Covid 19, online parcel delivery has been AP's main business for years now, there have been years of Xmas and sales periods from which lessons could have been learned, the capital cities of Perth and Darwin (apart from their CBDS) are *still* officially outside the Express network and considered regional areas. Inefficiency appears deeply embedded. I have no doubt all/majority of the on-the ground staff are working extremely hardannd around the clock atm and it must be awafully stressful, but when there are sytemic falws, hard work just does not solve endemic, structual problems. There have been issues at times with some automated sorting machines.
A decent system that is already largely efficient is obviously going to cope better when there are exceptional circumstances such as those we are currently facing.
Talking to the bloke at our LPO he says loss rates on parcels has increased by over 100%. He says there is no logic to the COVID-19 excuses given they've stopped tracking parcels to save time. He thinks AP employees are taking advantage of the mess their management have made of this and are pilfering more than normal.

Hey anyone who can help!
I’ve currently been stressing day and night due to a parcel I should’ve received latest on the 15th of April but is now 3 days overdue with the last scan being “emanifested for departure” which was scanned on the 5th of April.
My parcel is coming from prettylittlething UK
To Melbourne Victoria.
Having no updates or scans after the 5th is starting to worry me as I don’t know where the parcel is located or in this case lost.
I want to believe it’s either missed a scan or is just a massive delay from the covid backlog.
I have an investigation running with auspost but I haven’t been updated with my case in days and all I want is to know in the end I will receive my parcel :(

Hi Milan. I have the same problem. I managed to get through to an Australia post representative yesterday who told me that they are working with skeleton staff and are not able to employ more people due to the government restrictions so they have a huge backlog. Unfortunately there is nothing we can do except be patient. If you want to speak to someone from Australia post go to their chatbox during office hours. I hope this helps.
Hey hun Thankyou for your response, has you order also been last scanned at emanifested almost two weeks now :/
I wouldn't be too concerned judging by the amount of negative review bombs they're just backlogged. I'm waiting on a $3500 PC that was supposed to be delivered on the 5th and there's still no tracking updates from when it was shipped on the 25th of March.

Hi, my parcel was supposed to arrive on 6th April and i still have not received anything yet. The tracking number is 33PRQ016289701000935107 and it is stuck on a message saying "shipping information approved by Australia Post". Can you please help.

Hi Zara. I have the same problem. I have just finally managed to get through to an Australia post rep. Apparently there is a huge backlog of packages with only skeleton staff to process. I asked if they will be employing more people to help clear the backlog, apparently they can't due to government restrictions. I know it's frustrating especially when you can't get answers that's why I'm responding to your query. I guess we just have to wait patiently, there's nothing we can do except try to get through to a representative on their chatbox.
Oh that's lovely of you to share this. I have been messaging the sender and they don't know what's happening either. I just thought its very abnormal for the status to remain the same for two weeks now. Let's wait and see if anyone gets back to us here about it. Thanks again :)
Zara.Next time do not trust Australia Post. They are just useless!!
