Loathe this ISP
I recently signed up with Harbour ISP. I'm contracted for 12 months with a modem included, problem is the modem they sent me is old technology and is NOT compatible with the NBN. I rang them to resolve this issue and as confronted with an arrogant reluctance and they hung up on me several times with one very threatening email. So now I have to pay for a service I cant use for the next twelve months. Who the hell do these people think they are?

connect your router but you weren't able to speak to them at this time, but we disagree with your comments made, you were sent an upgraded router with superior wireless capability at no charge, and is compatible with nbn, we use them in our office on our nbn service. You rang and spoke to several different staff over the past 2 days and each of them you hung up on them, the only time our staff discontinue phone calls is when the customer becomes abusive. There is no reason why your service wont work with the equipment supplied to you.Rubbish, absolute rubbish

Mae was able to restore my internet and phone survice in a timely manner
I have been getting fairly regular dropouts of my phone service and while I do have a backup with my mobile phone not every one rings us on our mobile. And as we are coming into the high fire season we need a really reliable home phone and internet service to get early warnings of any fire threats. I hope what Mae haze done will improve the service for the future. Thanks.

Justine is really great.
I must say my first call to Harbour wasn’t that fabulous. Probably because I am a foreign language speaker. I feel the communication wasn’t too good. But when I was informed that the connection is working then I found my apartment router was missing, I was quite upset. Your staff Justine is so helpful and friendly. Even I was calling at 9 pm. She keeps on tracing the whole procedure and make sure it is probably managed. Your installation staff is also very good. He is punctual and very friendly. Must show my appreciation for those great staff to keep your consumer be with you happily.

Have faith - some of us have already spent time checking prior to a call
My second time needing support from Harbour ISP and sadly both times were network issues solved by NBN Co re-configuring the router. Please consider that we are running businesses and that when we say we have checked the configuration of the devices in our control we don't need to waste half a day re-checking via a web chat. When our NBN connection is functional it is trouble free.

Stay away: Horrible Service, extremely slow, lack of information
Similar to many, I found HarbourIsp through a third party comparison website due to (1) its price and (2) how urgent I needed the internet as I am a student. On 2nd of Sept, I placed my order and only received an order summary and critical info. On the 14th, after waiting for several hours (as advised by the technician), I called the customer support number as I still could not receive internet only to wait for a very long time with no agents available in the end. The following day (17th or 18th) I managed to get through to their team and was advised that I had to buy a new modem. I told the staff that I would like an email with the details so that I could have a better understanding of the situation and understand the time I am looking at. Nothing was sent. This is such a disappointing experience as I had to constantly follow up with the company and was misled to believe that I could receive my internet promptly only to be told of a longer waiting time when I called in. Extremely slow in responding and does not inform customers well. Called in yesterday to cancel my service with them as I lost my trust in them but I was THREATEN by a lady on their sales team. I was told that if I do not accept their "opportunity" to resolve the matter (which is to wait till the modem comes and who knows till when my internet will be up), they will slap a $$350 cancellation fee. Also, I was informed that my internet has already begun on 14th and will be billed accordingly when I still have no access to it. This threat will be reinforced as they have my bank details. There was no form of sincerity nor understanding from this lady. I spoke to another customer support staff to resolve the matter and was informed that he would personally speak to the management on my behalf to waive off this cancellation. I told him I would like a follow up on this so that I can be informed on the conclusion of this matter. Again, HarbourIsp failed as they did not drop me an email nor a call about it, The only email I have received thus far is a delivery notice of their modem which I have clearly voiced out that I do not want to continue their services. (Forcing their sales on me) This is such an unpleasant experience. Being a student, the internet is very vital in my daily life as I have deadlines to meet and lecture materials to follow up. Unfortunately, due to HarbourIsp lack of clear and concise information, my housemates and I have to travel elsewhere to seek free wifi. This is such a huge disappointment as we joined their service under the impression that we would be able to receive wifi fast. This is not the case. I am currently still left in the dark with no response from the team. I have called several times since yesterday but to no avail. This has wasted a lot of my time and inconvenienced me and my friends greatly. Stay away at all cost. Their negative reviews are so true.4 comments
