Am enjoying the fastest internet I have ever experienced.
The level of service is worthy of praise and I have been with the same ISP for at least 15 years and that says it all. In every instance where a problem arose a solution was found and usually with the minimum of fuss and delay.

Go else where!
Generally has been good, but for the last month my internet has been horrible, Massive latency, less then 5 mbps no where near 100 mbps or 78.5 typical evening speed they advertise. Latency has also been a major issue, typically the connection reports 20-30ms ping but the last month has been between 700-1000ms!
Have been keeping a history/log of the issues, will be taking my complaint further and changing to a provider they can deliver what they promise.

Great service
I have been with Iinet for more than 25yrs...from ADSL thru to NBN Of course there have been a few (only a few) technical issues during that time ie down time etc however I can say (and it is the reason I have stayed with Iinet is that the service whether sales admin or technical support has always been 1st class

Rubbish customer service and want money for nothing
SIgned up with iiNET NBN because of covid in late March. Was told the delivery date would be 9 March 2020 in my area and low an behold it's now May 2020 and they apparently still can't deliver access. To make matters worse, despite my order status being at "received" and being that way since I signed up - on a non contract basis - they want to charge $60 as a cancellation fee for doing ZERO.
Customer service is shonky at best, having to wait on hold for the chat for hours on end, to be told they are working remotely and need to transfer you e...Read more
lsewhere. Facts: iinet have done ZERO and want big money for doing squat. They haven't even shipped the modem I purchased on sign up - and have already paid for!!! AND they want to charge me $60 to cancel at this point given they have done nothing. Customer service is full of vague responses such as 'if we determine the time has been unreasonable, we may negotiate the cancellation fee'.3 comments

We charge a withdrawal fee of $60, as we do incur costs to prepare to provide a service for every application lodged. With regards to the waiver you've mentioned, this is the Customer Service Guarantee Waiver and we ask for this as services are provided over a network that we have no control over. The terms covering what you've mentioned are available at the bottom of every product page for you to review. Please know that you're always able to engage the Complaint Handling Policy, found here: https://help.iinet.net.au/complaint-handling-policy This includes the ability to escalate directly to our Customer Relations team, who are the highest level of escalation available with in the company. - LeoWow, leo, I'm shocked that you can reply here in under 12 hours but getting any information from your actual customer service team is near impossible!?!?! .... love that you and your team have incurre... d ZERO admin costs - what have you actually done to prepare for a service if it hasn't changed in more than a month! MORE THAN ONE MONTH! Escalating to the tele ombudsman seems to be the sensible approach for people dealing with your company. Not to mention you represent a date (very close to sign up date) and then you "have no control over it". You have control over your advertising - so your response reads like the rubbish your company throws out there. Also love the fact that although you can't guarantee speeds (because it hasn't yet been installed) your sales staff have no issues upselling you!!Customer ServiceiiNet

Never faltered being the best
Always had great connections and service with iinet. Been with them for over 20 years and they have always been on top of their game. Customer service knows their stuff very well generally although have not had to use them much in the past. Will stay with them till the internet gets shut down. ;P

Not extremely happy
We moved to a new house and got our nbn connected, nbn100. We were getting terrible speeds 59/24, rang up to find out what was happening and got put through a series of test to which at that point the couldn’t determine what was happening. They told us they would put through to technicians and said they would get back to us in 24 hours. We waited 48 hours then received an email stating that our line couldn’t handle the speeds and that we had to downgrade.. we downgraded reluctantly and now we get less than 40/15 it’s absolutely ridiculous, why tell us we can get higher speeds when it won’t work then downgrade and get even less than we pay for again...

Hi Geoffrey,
Thanks for bringing this to us!... Read more
It sounds like we've completed line testing here that has resulted in us offering you a downgrade due to NBN's network not being able to support the connected speeds that you initially requested. Whilst we never guarantee speeds, we can investigate why you aren't able to push higher on your current 50/20 tier especially given what you were connected at on the 100/40 tier. If you're able to, please reply here with an invoice or task reference number and we can then use this to locate your account. Alternatively, please feel free to make direct contact with us via our Social Media e-mail address: [email protected] with your details and mentioning your review here. Finally, if this doesn't suit, please know that you are always able to escalate via our Complaint Handling Policy: https://help.iinet.net.au/complaint-handling-policy We look forward to helping! - LeoSimilar opinion? 19 year love affair
I have had fantastic service and reliability for 19 years with iiNet. Yesterday my emails ceased receiving and sending and I was lost. Contacted support and the guy worked out the problem which was to do with a Microsoft update, and then he lead me through the complicated process of re setting Outlook to get me back in action. Bingo all was fixed and I am now a happy little vegemite and I am back in contact - wonderful - Thanks Gadhen in Auckland you are a genius.

Never had issues, Very helpful team
One thing people need to realise it's quite complicated for any service provider to do much about infrastructure issues, i.e. Dropouts and Bad connections, speaking as an NBN Technician myself.
iiNet is a perfect example of a mid range popular and reliable provider, I opted for BYOD and I was surprised at how helpful they really were on the phone, I come from an IT background so navigating wasn't an issue just what to input where, and they were very straight forward with guiding me. (They search for your modem model and have guides for each on...Read more
e.) I often recommend against picking the most popular ISP's (Telstra or Dodo) Without getting technical, as we move forward in technology the most in demand ones will hit the server issues most. While still in the big top 5 ISP's you get quality but also they have enough time to adapt to more server demand (as we move forward to 200Mb+ plans or further) This is when the big popular ISP's will reach peak loads and you experience downtime. In the 6 months I've been with iiNet I have experienced ONE issue, my internet just straight up stopped working one night at about 2 am for about 20 minutes. In that time I searched for server statuses, everything showed clear, and having the tools; I checked my line and it was also fine, my modem has sync to the server but no data flow (DSL light was green but internet light was orange). Surely you have to understand, at some point, some services may need to be restarted, or migrated, so it's not logical to assume your internet will work at all times. Was I angry at iiNet? No. Was it their fault? Probably not, some forced maintenance is required. Regardless I have never had any issues with iiNet itself other than maybe the moving house option in the toolbox, it seems fine but then I get forwarded to signing up for a new plan, when I just want to move my service (I had to call up about it and then I didn't need to pay the activation fee again, as stated, but still I don't want to busy up the lines during the COVID crisis just so I can move my service), everything else is very user friendly and non-intimidating.1 comment

Terrible Service
Called to setup our service and were told our existing modem should work. Spent 2 hours on hold with calls that kept dropping, and eventually another hour on the phone trying to setup the modem. Was told it didn't work and I needed one with VLAN settings. Was told to buy myself as it would take too long to send one out in the current situation. Did exactly as they asked. Called up to setup again, spending another hour with the technician, only to be told this one wasn't suitable either as the previous technician 'forgot' to tell us it also need...Read more

Horrendous!
We rang iiNet with 2 weeks notice prior to moving house. We requested the new connection from 3 April and have been advised it will be available with a technician from 14 April (if they turn up then). Interesting that they charged us for the full new month in March when we rang to advise of our change of address, yet we have no service! We are paid up well into May with no service provided at all!!!!!!!!!

Now been a customer for many years. Have had only one instance that I could say was not the best, mainly because my modem died and it was the day after Boxing Day but other than that, they have been great. Prompt, good customer service. No problems with internet or phone outages. Good value.

This sounds like crap. Iinet is the best company I have ever dealt with.
I have been with them for 11 years and the customer service is outstanding. The person who answers the phone fixes the problem. In all that time whenever I have had a problem they try and resolve the issue and when they can’t the same person will call me back with an answer. I have stayed with iinet because of this level of professionalism. Can’t recommend them enough. I have had problems with service over this time but as I stated above the customer service is outstanding. It is this reason that I stay with iinet. I can easily recommend them

Terrible service and steals from your credit card.
Terrible company, from business not being able to receive phone calls at times, from stealing money from your credit after it was agreed that a month credit was to be given after terrible service. business was forced to closed to Coronas virus (beauty salon) and they do not care less. Firstly, thanks for keeping logs of what you've been seeing as these will help us pin down issues. We can use these in conjunction with results from Ping Plotter tests (see https://help.iinet.net.au/how-run-ping-and-traceroute-using-pingplotter ) to locate what the cause of the problem is and if its within our network.
