Terrible Kitchen Quality and Warranty
Within 3 years of having a new ikea kitchen our cabinets have begun to flake like wheetbix and the sink has chipped around the edges. Warranty replacement was requested and rejected due to "excess water in the kitchen" Last time i checked we never had a flood inside the house and of course we mop but we dont swim in the bloody water. Terrible service avoid buying a kitchen from these clowns full stop

Terrible customer service and faulty product
Purchased set of drawers via click and collect. Drawer runners were made of cheap plastic and faulty (would not sit flat). Took the item back to North Lakes. Staff offered a refund card, what they did not explain is that it cannot be used for online purchases, or even click and collect. Called Customer Service and after waiting for an answer for 20 minutes, they confirmed the refund card cannot be used for click and collect/ delivery. This was not explained at time of item return. Very misleading and disappointed with the lack of transparency.

Click and collect - don’t do it
Very bad click and collect service. Did this twice, first time booked the time in, but waited 50 mins. Guys where very disorganized. Second time received a text confirming order ready to pick up that day. Called in to check it was and they said yes, so went in. I’m still waiting in my car now after 45 mins. Called from the car from car bay twice now- still no sign. Seriously. I don’t understand what’s so hard?? Not worth the hassle dealing with them.

Missing a box from order for a Month
Ordered several different big furniture items. Delivery guys ask to sign without giving time to check the order and then took off. I realized too late that the sofa was supposed to be in 3 separate boxes and they only delivered 2. Despite several e-mails exchanged with customer support I'm still missing that box after a month. They say the item was out of stock and they would contact me when back in stock, all excuses because checking online gives the item in stock and I still haven't heard from them.
If it wasn't for the customer support, stock problems and delivery process this would be a 5 star reviews, because the furniture is good value for money and not too hard to put together.

Disappointed customerSydney, NSW
Was not a great experience due to the rude staff.
I came in to get a flat pack chest of drawers and expected a smoother experience, Wednesday April 8 around 1400. I understand with everything going on it’s a mess, but I asked a staff member where the trolleys were and he rudely pointed at a sign that said trolleys that I’d obviously missed - silly mistake, whatever, I don’t come here often. I go there and there’s no trolleys. So I ended up having to deadlift and carry this heavy af flat pack to the checkout myself, alone, I’m 162cm tall and it’s almost bigger than me but I absolutely refuse to...Read more
ask him again because he was so rude. Then I walked past at least 5 other staff members stuffing around with each other before someone was like hey do you need help. It’s a trying time for everyone not just you (hope the dude reads this one day) and there’s no excuse to be so rude and unhelpful.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Faulty IKEA kitchen cabinets
Bought a house 5 years ago that had a new IKEA kitchen just installed by previous owner. Some cabinet doors have spilt & cracked due to steam issue from the IKEA dishwasher.
Called IKEA for assistance with this issue. I haven’t had this happen with other kitchens. Previous owner didn’t leave the kitchen receipt unfortunately, so as a result IKEA would not visit to investigate. I was told the 25 year guarantee was no longer valid, due to me not having this receipt.
Was also told to buy new cabinet fronts.
Cabinet doors should not split like t...Read more

Very unhappy with my purchase.
Unfortunately, I purchased a the LINNMON / ADILS desk for university study. Whilst the desk was relatively easy to assemble, I am very unhappy with this product. The slightest movements make the desk shake and is quite distracting. I have tried many times adjusting the height of the legs to fix this issue but it continuous. I would not recommend this product.

Rude worker
Went into the Richmond IKEA and asked a worker for help, worker straight out said no and go online. I understand the social distancing at the moment, but she could have answered some questions from 5 metres away especially since I saw other workers helping customers from a distance. I didn’t see the issue or threat to her health by asking her to help me answer some questions from a distance. Poor customer service.Shame since I couldn’t purchase what I needed as I needed help

Poor quality and worse customer service
Purchased a METOD laundry and Saljan benchtop.
After multiple failures by IKEA to deliver the correct items, discovered defective benchtop with laminate bubbling and warping. IKEA customer service immediately dismissed the case stating warping is a result of cutting, the benchtops are designed to cut and fit and install, warping should not occur. My 15 year old existing benchtop looks better than the brand new IKEA benchtop.

No customer service
Visited store with intention to purchase kitchen as needed in a hurry. Corona virus precautions in place so i had phoned day earlier to check staff availability. However I was berated by 2 staff for not making appointment then told not to bother as staff contact face to face was about to be cancelled. Told to plan my kitchen myself at home. I fully support precautions but I did not appreciate the way I was treated, the condescending manner or the sarcastic comments. I left and purchased elsewhere. Don't usually shop ikea and have zero plans to return.

Poor customer service
Beware of their poor customer service and delivery info. We ordered our items online, and the delivery date was stated to be within a week from our order. BUT when we got the confirmation email, the delivery date was stated as 1 month later! We called customer service and [name removed] was very apathetic about our situation and wasn't helpful at all. She even made a sarcastic comment during our conversation and made the whole experience very upsetting and unpleasant for us. We are extremely disappointed with IKEA and their customer service. We canceled our order, and we will never shop at IKEA online again.

Good selection
Have to drive to there. The quality are mostly fine. I prefer easier assemble steps. Delivery fee is too high. I wish IKEA can have more real plant decoration collection

Faulty umbrella broke my husband's finger. Replacement didn't function properly.
We purchased a patio umbrella and stand. The first umbrella's crank malfunctioned, rapidly unwound, trapping and breaking my husband's finger. IKEA reimbursed his medical expenses and sent out a crew to retrieve the broken umbrella and deliver a replacement. We were pleased, although the delivery crew spoke no English and was entirely confused by having to remove the malfunctioning umbrella, stuck in an open position. The new umbrella cranked open normally, but did not lock into an open position. It just slowly unwound. So now we must return th...Read more
at umbrella and the stand. I can't really express how much time my husband has wasted on this product which is obviously being manufactured with seriously poor quality control. Very bad show, IKEA. Get your act together.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Love the Ektorp couches, they look gorgeous
I recently purchased 2 x Ektorp 2 seaters in white. I'm extremely happy, they are beautiful quality (thick fabric & not cheap & nasty!) & they even better than I thought they'd look. I thought they'd maybe not fit well given they have covers (too loose or tight in different places) but they're perfect, they obviously ensure their fit. Easy enough to put together & follow the instructions & Im not good at all at esembling things.

Assembly service unreliable
Ikea's Assembler no showed twice and was at another install the morning he was supposed to be installing my wardrobe. Called and tried to return the product and was told I will be charged for the delivery and pickup.

Claustrophobic
Trekking through 400 kilometres of cramped, store pathway isn't my idea of a good shopping experience. I felt like I was lost in a maze, with little chance of survival. I thought I was never going to reach the end. If you do visit, take food, water and a swag; and three weeks annual leave.

Very poor quality products! Waste of money!
Crappy products. Extremely poor quality. You will fool yourself into believing that you're saving money, while in reality, you are throwing your money away buying their poor-quality products! But people are cheap.

Faulty IKEA instructions
Purchased 2 display cabinets, IKEA’s own instructions were faulty. As a result the shelves collapsed, breaking family heirlooms. IKEA offered me paltry compensation that came with a heavy handed lawyer and gag order.

if i organise to return assembled item, how long does it take for it to be picked up and how do i arrange for full refund?

We have been to Ikea Logan 3 times over the past 5 weeks and on every occasion we found their bathrooms unclean (both the parents and adult bathrooms) also with no paper towels available. The overall impression was that bathrooms haven't seen a cleaner in a long time or the cleaner lacks attention to detail. One would expect it to be immaculate upon arriving just after opening hours. Comparing bathrooms from shopping centres, Ikea disappoints.
