Terrible company to deal with...avoid
NBN 12/1 (Basic)I cancelled the service with Ipstar only to be billed for a month when the service was cancelled. Contacted them in early June 2020 and was told the billing issue would be fixed because it was an automtically generated bill system. But I was still being billed and contacted them again via email but no reply. 5 months later out of the blue I get a another notice to pay. Billing customer service people are terrible to talk to and it seems dont acknowledge emails. They dont understand thier own billing cycles. I wouldnt recommend them they are just too much trouble to deal with.

Good enough for my weekend unit
NBN 12/1 (Basic)I was with activ8me before and they cancelled the $40 contract asking for $60.
Because I am only over weekends at my unit it would be a wast of money to have a more expensive contract.
Please keep this contract going.

NBN 12/1 (Basic)Have been a happy customer for one month. Reliability is more important to me than speed. Reliability has been very good. Only noticed only two short periods of down time. Speed is adequate. Customer web portal (usage, billing info, payments) is functional and easy to use. Competitive pricing.

NBN 12/1 (Basic)Right choice except landline perception was confusing. During sign on process, I was asked, "if you want to keep your landline type in number ( at a provided text placeholder)" or words to that effect. I did but later got my phone cut off. When I queried, I was told, "Ipstar doesn't provide landline services" or words to that effect. It was disappointing. Email query very slow. Staff very helpful and polite. Their phone Call back system is much appreciated! A very good Idea Saves Waste of my time . Thank you. Regards & Bye

Terrible
NBN 12/1 (Basic)- It has been a month without internet because outside cables going to the exchange been misconfigured
- IPstar technical support worst I have ever dealt with since dialup days. you call them on Saturday morning and leave your number for a call back. A call comes on Monday morning!
- they have major outages everyday
- I had my Ipstar internet working for 2 days in a month and now no broadband link and no longer working.
- when I signed up on the internet so how they lost my form. had to email them those details several times.
- In the welcome package they provided me with incorrect PPPOE username
No idea why they are still in business when they treat their customers like this.

NBN 12/1 (Basic)Swapped over from another provider, overall connection performance for the same deal improved quite a bit, maybe 30% better. IPSTAR systems and staff don't come across as flash or marketing oriented, but are very solid ... just the way I like it. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

What a joke
NBN 12/1 (Basic)Absolutely the worst NBN Satellite provider. With another company my connection was always in the 10mbps+ range 24-7. With Ipstar it's often down as low as 0.3!! barely 1mbps most of the time. and in a few rare instances mid morning 9mbps is the only time it's even close.
Note- Experienced tech savvy network administrator. Ipstar is a joke

Reliable & Cheap!
NBN 12/1 (Basic)We have a 100GB, 12/1 plan with a BYO modem and it’s great!
Never had any real issues with the service and am paying half of what other companies are charging. When we moved house, tech support called us back to make sure everything was all good.
