Terrible Public Relations

Got template email 25 March re Virgin/Singapore Airlines flight to China 12 May, nothing heard since - Impossible to believe it can take this long to provide a proper response and no way of contacting anyone by phone to get some advice on progress or more likely the lack of it.

Please help, I am trying to lodge a request to cancel my flights to Europe through the correct channel but it will not accept my booking reference YXCXRN . This reference is showing clearly on the email I received confirming my booking. Jetabroad please advise how I can proceed.

Worst service ever - No refund so far - AZOHKU

Flights to NZ and Cook Islands were cancelled on 23 March due to travel restrctions. Departure would have been on 31 March with Virgin and Air NZ. Since then I have not heard a work back apart from automated "be patient" emails. We want a refund for the flights and I filled lots of forms to contact them via the website, no phone number is provided at all. We will never book with Jetabroad again. If they would only acknowledge that there will be a refund and what amount, we would wait for a few weeks. Now it is week 7 and we did not hear back at all. It is hugely disappointing to loose almost $ 4000.

I already wrote a review here about this company, so they contact and after 2 emails never answered again! worse company ever! They do not give your refund even if the airline company say they allowed!
Is impossible to contact Jetabroad in anyway!

I received an email on March 9th telling me that my patience would be appreciated. I heard nothing further although all legs of our flights from Hobart to Trieste became impossible and were cancelled by the airlines. I sent emails, filled in the forms a few times on the website and have had no response still, not even an acknowledgement of receipt of any of these communications. The flight time draws near and the Etihad site informs me I may have a credit plus extras but this has to be done through Jetabroad! Some assurance that this is being dealt with would be assuring! In future, I will not use such third party agencies but will book directly with the airlines!

I have now been contacted by jetabraod and I have a credit for the flights. I have been assured by Etihad that our bookings for extra legroom will be honoured when we book our replacement flights.

Do not respond, do not refund your money although airlines confirm they have honoured refund

We had two business class seats booked through Jetabroad for departure on 2 April. The airline has cancelled the flights in full and confirmed they will honour refund, just waiting for contact by Jetabroad. Please Jetabroad can you please assist us here? We have made many, many attempts to get your assistance to no avail, like so many people in these concerning times we need and are within our rights to receive our refunds. Unable to contact Jetabroad via any method

Sent in my refund request on 14 April but have not heard back. Due to fly out on 8 May 2020. There is no other method of communication, did not even receive any kind of communication from the company, highly disappointed and will consider a chargeback if I do not hear back from them in the coming days.

Update: 5 May 2020
Finally received an email today (5 May) informing me that flights have been cancelled and tickets are refundable but to wait 4 to 12 weeks or even longer. Not sure if they are only dealing with cancellations within 72 hours of flights as this would be 3 days before my flight on Friday. Awaiting for the refund and will see how we go.

Do not refund you the money even if the airline cancelled the flight and said that they are giving refunds. Do not reply to or or get back to you. Do not help. There is no such thing as calling and talking to someone.

I will happily delete my post when I get my money back. On a side note I think it’s appalling that you can not call and speak to a real person. I understand this isn’t personally your fault but the company should definitely change this policy.

We have written to Jetabroad by letter and also sent the forms over the website at the end of March 2020. We have only received back an automated reply. We are anxious to hear from them in person /writing to reassure us that we will be able to get credit for our flights. Our booking ref is LTQCXF. As we are a family of 5 traveling to UK these tickets are of huge value and this is causing us sleepless nights of stress. We understand there is a backlog but we want to make sure that this is actioned before any policy dictates that it is too late. We were due to fly on 15th May.

5 weeks no communication and they still did not contact me within 24 hours of take off

I sent a ticket cancellation request approximately 6 weeks ago (Wedding cancelled in the Kimberley) due to Covid 19. Their policy said they'd get back to me 48 hours prior to flight. The flight was due to take off around 10am TODAY and another flight at 4pm TOMORROW.
Have not heard anything from Jet Abroad AT ALL and neither has the passenger I booked for.

DO NOT BOOK WITH JETABROAD

No refund response.

Like so many businesses the coronavirus came from nowhere and upset and caused impatience with so many people
Jetabroad team calmly sorted everything out for the greatest outcome possible and did not rip Us off
We will be back when we can fly again

Medical condition and no contact from Jetabroad!!! Very disappointed.

Jetabroad I am so disappointed. My family cannot fly due to our son who was hit by a car and is in a coma. We are needed here with him during this frightening time because we are not sure what the future looks like. This had nothing to do with covid19 and I am so disappointed I have heard absolutely nothing from your team after numerous emails. So very disappointed.

After One month cancellation request, zero communication

I sent the flight ticket cancellation request on 25th March 2020, reference number RXLARE.
After chasing them one more time, I got confirmation of cancellation on 30th March 2020.
I gave a call to airline company a call on 3rd April before flight commencement. The airline company staff told me the ticket was still valid.
On 27th April, I sent a request to them asking what's the process status? But I haven't got any reply.
I don't know what is Jetabroad staff working? No reply, no update almost One month

Zero Communication

Have been trying to make contact for over a month now and have not received any update of my booking. Have 4 flights booked with Jetaboard and unsure what options I have at this stage as all I have received is automated mail.
Waiting until 24 hours before the flight or after it to make contact to respond is frustrating and will surely result in nothing resolved. Also suggesting to contact the airline myself? What is the point of this service again? Can't even respond or manage a booking in over two months.

How do we take action again Jetabroad to get our money back? Does anyone know of any class action lawsuits that are active against Jetabroad?

Hi Zoe, I am wondering the same thing, due over 3,000 GBP for flights that airlines cancelled due to COVID-19 - getting nowhere with Jetabroad and interested in taking things further, I've posted a review on Trustpilot UK and Facebook - I believe they are getting refunds from the airlines and not issuing it to the customers in refunds and am worried they are have or will take all the refunds and fold. Darin Walters is the MD as per their website. There has to be a complaints commission in Australia or the European Union to have this resolved. I don't believe anyone will get their money back.

I have had multiple email exchanges with them and they are not providing accurate information and will not acknowledge any of the factual information I am raising with them. We had a ticket with JAL from Melbourne to Tokyo and JAL are issuing full refunds for travel due to any immigration restrictions, which is the case for Australia. Jetabroad are stating I Cann't get a refund and that they will charge me huge fees if I request a refund. They are saying I need to wait until just before the travel date, which again is not accurate according tot he JAL information. Again they will not respond tot he information I am raising. There is a class action in Australia with/through Slater and Gordon against multiple airlines and travel agencies, such as Jetabroad, and I have listed my problems with Jetabroad. I have also listed a complaint with the ACCC. I haven't heard back from either as I imagine they ar e getting inundated. Amanda

We are in negotiations with our credit card company and have asked them to simply ask Jetabroad why they are charging us for a service we didn't receive as it was cancelled by the airlines. It's a simple question. We are also making complaints absolutely anywhere we can. They are a total disgrace and my personal belief is they have no intentions of refunding anyone, they are receiving the refunds from the airlines and plan to keep the money and fold the company and set up under another name.

Hi, I can't get Jetaboard to respond to me. I know it is a crazy busy time but my airline cancelled the flights and I submitted an online request on 1 May but 4 weeks later I have not heard back?

The customer service is terrible. I reported them to consumer affairs and seemed to get some contact after that which is disappointing. Goodluck!

Hi Steph, I hope you don't mind me asking but did you get a positive response? Our flights were due to depart April 2nd and it's now June and we still haven't had anything from Jetabroad. Was it consumer affairs in Australia you reported it to? I am prepared to take it as far as I need to and it this stage, I'm more driven by principle than financial. These guys haven't got a shred of corporate social responsibility.

You can report them to the ACCC - which I have done - and there is a class action through Slater and Gordon against multiple airlines and travel agencies, such as Jetabroad, which I have also submitted my case to.

I have written multiple emails to you guys for a flight change and yet today is my flight day and still no response given. You said will prioritise people who will be flying within 48 hours and I have been patiently waiting without a single response and yet I'm meant to fly today. Reference is CVDYEQ flying from Fuzhou to Sydney with Xiamen Airlines 17th of May. Using the proper way to get in touch but doesn't reply or schedule anything when your meant to fly today are you guys ever going to respond?
