I have a Telstra NBN FTTB modem to provide my land-line telephone. Currently I have an Adam Internet Black Spot aerial connected to a NetCom wireless modem which provides my internet connection. This black spot tower is poorly maintained as most people have changed to an NBN connection. Adam Internet is now owned by IINET.

Has Mate got a data centre (for traffic) in Perth? As the last thing I want as a Perth customer, is to have to be routed to the east coast and back again creating huge latency issues for gaming.

I’m sorry I don’t a clue I’m just a consumer. I’m in SA and I don’t have any gaming issues. If there’s any problems in your area they text you to let you know. If you call them they’re really helpful.
Thanks, SA would be very different to WA as it's half the distance so wouldn't be as noticeable but I'll double check with them if I have the time to call.

We do have a referral offer available.
Once you are a customer, to refer a friend you just need to advise the person signing up to do the following:
If signing up with a MATE sales agent over the phone, just let them know the referral's name and account number (in this case yours).
If signing up online, when it comes to "how did you hear about us" just select "referral" and add your name/account number.
Once their service goes live you will be automatically credited $50.00 on your next invoice.

Don't bother if you when they deny it are talking to them on the phone ... you don't have a leg to stand on when the referee doesn't get credited further down the line. A phone call is not worth the paper it is written on! :-(

Hi,
I live In Perth WA, in the suberb Balga 6061 and we have just had NBN installed taken years, so now I'm looking into service providers I've never bothered with home internet I use my phone.
I believe that our NBN is the old copper wiring not fiber optic.. so I'm still hesitant to commit to a company, I have an old phone line will need reconnecting but I don't want a home phone in my house no point.. how much will that cost? And will you organise this?
I want to be able to Stream Netflix etc.. which plan will give me sufficient Speeds to do this mainly in the evening. Thanks.

I want to know what will they do and can we set up the modem by ourselves and activate the internet earlier?

We have checked with nbn to see if we can get you an earlier appointment but unfortunately there is no earlier date available.
If something does come up we will notify you but at this stage nbn has a very tight timetable when it comes to technician appointments and this is based on available private contractor availability in your area.
