Moved the desk and the sides just fell off.
It seems the company doesn't exist and the new company using the same trading name won't accept warranty

Purchased furniture in late February 2020- making a deposit of $808.00. Agreed to wait a month for the 8 chairs to arrive. The company has been bought out by someone else. They keep stalling by refusing to refund our deposit. The order for our chairs has been cancelled. What sort of business takes your money and offers nothing? Highly unprofessional and deceptive.

I bought the Molly dining and coffee tables in store and had them delivered to my home. I decided to go ahead with assembling the two tables and had a lot of trouble. When I made the purchase in store, I was advised that it would be super easy to put together and it would simply be a matter of screwing the legs on the table.
Getting the wooden legs connected for both of the tables was extremely difficult. They would get stuck and it was impossible for me to push them down on my own. I then called the customer service line to ask for help and ...

When I explained that there may be something faulty with the legs not fitting on properly - he advised that I should fill in the warranty form, take some pictures and send it in - after which they would assess it and let me know next steps. I advised him that we were just around the corner from Christmas and I could not have a half made dining and coffee table just hanging around in my living room while they assessed my issue and decided how to proceed. Even if it was decided that the tables should be picked up and returned, it could take a couple of weeks for all of that to happen. When I said this, instead of being sympathetic to my issue and providing me with some customer service solution, the person I spoke to was extremely rude. He responded with "Well, what do you think we should do about it? Give us a better solution if you have one. Sometimes things are faulty - nothing we can do about it." When I suggested dropping it off at the showroom, he responded with, "Well, what are they going to do about it? They're just a showroom". In the end he agreed that it was ok for me to drop it at the showroom. Given how heavy the glass is, and how much effort it would be for me to take it back to the showroom, I decided to call in a carpenter to fix the tables myself. The carpenter was able to more or less put the tables together but even he remarked how difficult it was and that it would have been impossible for me to do it myself. I would never ever recommend Matt Blatt to anyone.- Product Quality

Purchased 4 dining chairs, one faulty, told it would be replaced, thats 2 months ago. Would never shop there again, big fuss until they get your money, very poor Matt Blatt Richmond

Was told a week ago that the sale specials would finish next day- still going.
Dont buy unless absolutely sure- T&C misleading. You will not get a refund unless goods are faulty, and you are responsible for arranging and funding return to Sydney warehouse in return for a credit note. I will not shop here again

Bright and colourful store with lots of choice, friendly staff who were helpful without being overbearing and allowed plenty of time to browse and choose. We found exactly what we wanted and were really happy with the whole experience.

Im not going to waste my time telling the whole story but customers need to be aware... Dont shop there.. ! I order and paid for 2 chairs its been 8 weeks and I havent had a call back to explain..

I bought a sofa (floor stock) Saturday 13/07 at 12.47pm. It was in my home at 1.30pm the same day. I can't believe how incredible the delivery service was (Sim and Tris). It took 3 weeks for another retailer to try to deliver the 3 parts of my previous sofa. I only ever received 1 and subsequently returned it for a full refund. If only every store had Sim and Tris! Thanks to Tamara also for putting me on to them. I think I will buy all my furniture through MB from now on. Amazing service!

I ordered the Klaus desk through the Fitzroy store and it arrived very promptly. No thanks to my clumsiness, I managed to damage the legs of the desk whilst assembling the item - I reached out to Joshua from the store who went above and beyond to get me a set of replacement legs under warranty. The level of customer service has blown me away.

-Horrible customer service, rude people who do not take any feedback
-Spent hours on the phone 10+ times trying to organise the delivery, investigate where the items are at
-Not worth the pain, used other amazing furniture stores when refurbished my house and they were all top notch

Rude staff, poor customer service and no confirmation on my furniture delivery
Matt Blatt has terrible customer service. I made a purchase with them two weeks ago and have yet to receive a timeframe on when my couch will be delivered. I called customer service to follow up and the staff were extremely rude and nonchalant about the issue, nor could they give me any information as to where my couch was. I called up the Richmond shop to see if they would be more helpful but the lady responded to me in an aggravated manner, saying the shop was understaffed and she couldn't help me until the end of the day. This is extremely disappointing and would like an answer as to where my couch is and when it will be delivered to my apartment.

We love going to Matt Blatt, every single store we have been to look amazing, bold, colourful although often we find it hard to find a piece that fit into our home, which is neutral and minimalistic. Hey, my partner and I are definitely no interior designers. I am sure one can make it work.

Read moreroduct hence there are some variations one has to expect. That worked against us one time where the furry cushion we bought appeared very flat. The shop readily took it back and offered to order another one in and let us inspect before taking it. Given it is not a bargain store, we did expect quality and service. Still, we really were delighted by their service. More recently, we purchased a few furnitures from MB Blackburn and the experience was so great that I have just pushed my rating from 4 to 5 stars. Sofie, the assistant manager, was so nice to let me know an item I have been eyeing on for quite a while was going on sale which helped me to save a significant amount of money. The store manager Lisa loaned us and even promised to personally deliver us an item so we can test it out in our home. May be I expect too little, I was completely blown away by her generosity and how accomodating they are to the point that I decided to just buy the item. Yep, you guessed it, she delivered it! For that, we say thank you MB and we are happy returning customers, more like frequent returning customers.- Product Quality

Excellent in-store service from Jono at the Richmond store, followed by really exceptional care and attention to detail in the assembly of our Oxley wardrobe by Jesse and Jono. A confusion about how much assembly would be required by the customer was rectified with prompt, professional, no questions asked service, with Jesse taking great care to ensure the wardrobe was perfectly assembled. I ordered a print online, paid for it and then received an email advising will contact when ready to pick up at a Melbourne store. I waited two weeks with no reply, then sent an email to ask what was happening. I received an email a week later stating that there were none in stock and no longer printing that image. Would I like a refund or store credit? I was credited to my account 7 days later. Terrible experience. Their customer service is appalling.

Rob - I clearly DO NOT represent Matt Blatt. I am a poster like you and I had enormous problems with this company as have had numerous others. If you had read the reviews as I suggested you wouldn't even countenance dealing with this company.
