Purchased 4 dining chairs, one faulty, told it would be replaced, thats 2 months ago. Would never shop there again, big fuss until they get your money, very poor Matt Blatt Richmond

Amazing service! Unique in my experience.
I bought a sofa (floor stock) Saturday 13/07 at 12.47pm. It was in my home at 1.30pm the same day. I can't believe how incredible the delivery service was (Sim and Tris). It took 3 weeks for another retailer to try to deliver the 3 parts of my previous sofa. I only ever received 1 and subsequently returned it for a full refund. If only every store had Sim and Tris! Thanks to Tamara also for putting me on to them. I think I will buy all my furniture through MB from now on. Amazing service!

The most horrendous purchasing experience -DO NOT USE MATT BLATT!
-Horrible customer service, rude people who do not take any feedback
-Spent hours on the phone 10+ times trying to organise the delivery, investigate where the items are at
-Not worth the pain, used other amazing furniture stores when refurbished my house and they were all top notch
-Items come very flat pack and take lots of time to assemble
-Experience 0 stars
-Never using them again!
-If you spend 10k on the store you would expect some service...
-Nothing positive to say, fully disappointed

Rude staff, poor customer service and no confirmation on my furniture delivery
Matt Blatt has terrible customer service. I made a purchase with them two weeks ago and have yet to receive a timeframe on when my couch will be delivered. I called customer service to follow up and the staff were extremely rude and nonchalant about the issue, nor could they give me any information as to where my couch was. I called up the Richmond shop to see if they would be more helpful but the lady responded to me in an aggravated manner, saying the shop was understaffed and she couldn't help me until the end of the day. This is extremely disappointing and would like an answer as to where my couch is and when it will be delivered to my apartment.

Excellent service 'above and beyond'
Excellent in-store service from Jono at the Richmond store, followed by really exceptional care and attention to detail in the assembly of our Oxley wardrobe by Jesse and Jono. A confusion about how much assembly would be required by the customer was rectified with prompt, professional, no questions asked service, with Jesse taking great care to ensure the wardrobe was perfectly assembled. Thank you Jesse and Jono!

Ordered online and paid and never contacted
I ordered a print online, paid for it and then received an email advising will contact when ready to pick up at a Melbourne store. I waited two weeks with no reply, then sent an email to ask what was happening. I received an email a week later stating that there were none in stock and no longer printing that image. Would I like a refund or store credit? I was credited to my account 7 days later. Terrible experience. Their customer service is appalling.

No instructions! Lied to us about product not being on sale when it was!!
Made purchase in store. Service was ok, however the retail assistant lied to ask when asked if the product was going to be on sale. They said not in the coming 2 months... 1 week later the 2 products we bought had slashed their prices on this particular range. We don't mind paying full price however we don't like purchasing out of deception... then to add insult to injury when unpacking the cabinet there were no instructions on how to assemble. Now we have a huge cabinet lifeless on its side in our living room until we get sent instructions. Thanks matt blatt - Far from a premium experience but a premium price!

Don't bother pre-ordering!
We went in-store on May 1 to order 8 dining chairs that had an expected delivery time of "end of June" - That's perfect timing for us as we're moving into our new home them. Approaching "end of June" we made contact to just confirm that everything was on track and was advised that it was delayed until Early August.
Disgruntled that we didn't get any updates and had to contact them ourselves to know that there was a delay but obliged as we thought we'd waited this long ..another month couldn't hurt.

What! customer Service?
Disappointing, such a joke of a company, don't waste your time! You have to take a gamble to buy products online as they don't have a lot of display in store pay $70 freight as you can't collect and if you don't like the product return it yep that is right for another $70! Thanks Milan it now costs your customers $140 just to shop at your unprofessional store and that's if you don't buy!

Rude staff in Swan St, Richmond store
I was in the Swan St store in Richmond, Vic....staff member with attitude like you wouldn't believe!
I asked a well presented female where a particular stool was made....it was China is seems (I wasn't aware that Matt Blatt is actually cheap crap made in China) I shouldn't have asked. The attitude in her response was amazing. With a rather 'forked tongue' she told me that if wanted to buy Australian made items I should shop elsewhere. Thanks love - I will from now on.

Matt Blatt Lighting
We bought 3 different lights from Matt Blatt for our renovation back at the start of this year:
2x Replica Xavier Lust Pleat box pendant lights in duck egg blue
2x Replica Poul Henningsen PH3/2 Pendant Lamp Small, and
1x Replica Poul Henningsen PH4 1/2 Pendant Lamp
The pleat box lights are gorgeous - and look great in. However the clip used to hold the pendant at the position you desire is flimsy and our electrician had concerns over it being suitable or even appropriate. He even called Standards Australia over it - however SA apparently...Read more
consider this to be the bare minimum standard. It was extremely challenging and difficult to install them so that the ceiling attachment would actually sit flat against the ceiling. And that's where the good part of this review ends. The other two type of lights are flawed in just about every way - the glass is incredibly brittle and easy to break - the PH4 1/2 pendant lamp arrived broken in pieces, which was replaced by Matt Blatt on request. However the glass in the replacement lamp (whilst it didn't have any broken pieces) was riddled with fine cracks - to the point where both us and our electrician chose not to install it for fear it would break under the strain of its own weight. I contacted Matt Blatt twice via email to find out about returning the clearly faulty product, but received no response on both occasions. We ended up throwing it in the skip as we had unfortunately passed the 7 day return period (which only applies to lighting, of course). The PH 3/4 light wasn't much better - I broke one of the glass components when attempting to construct the lamp (this and the PH 1/2 come in pieces) and couldn't buy a replacement part - just the full light fitting. The three wires that attach to the ceiling fitting had incredibly poor quality connections so it was impossible to have all three wires actually taught when the lamp was hung. It looks rather lousy. The smallest glass piece in the centre is so precariously hung from the pendant's connections that one small knock and it would come crashing to the ground - breaking into a million small, dangerous glass pieces.
