Packs plenty of punch

published

The heater is in a large open space so virtually 3 rooms. Able to cope easily with heating up the rooms but it wasn't able to maintain a consistent temperature, heating to well over the set temperature. After a few calls to Rinnai support they suggested a few things and when that didn't work they scheduled a tech to come out and he looked at it and replaced the thermostat under warranty. Works a treat now. Would certainly recommend but you need to allow for some ventilation to the outside as its an unflued gas heater. The suppport was better than most organisations.

Simply the best - do yourself a favour and get one

Hands down the most powerful heater I have ever owned. We have a very large open plan house with high ceilings and this heater heats our entire house within a few minutes. We have had ours for 8 years and it's still going strong, not a single problem. Before this we used to have multiple heaters and sit under the blankets until things warmed up, not with this. Has great features, simple to use and reliable. I wish more products were as good. Worth every cent and I'm normally very picky.

Couldn't ask for a better heater.

published

I used gas for the first time last winter and would not go back. I bought a Rinnai Avenger as quite a few plumbers said they were the best gas heaters. I have a 3 bedroom home and there was no drama keeping the living areas warm. Best bit was setting the timer to turn off and on at particular times. Can't recommend highly enough.

Great heater

published

This is our first gas heater, we used a/c before buying the Avenger25 it was a bit more expensive than other brands but well worth it. Warms a large open plan area, very easily and quickly. Easy to operate as well. We run ours on economy most of the time and it does warm up well. Really like that there is no visible flame stopping children getting inquisitive. Would recommend without hesitation.
Like it so much have purchased 2 smaller Rinnai heaters for other family members.

Looove this heater

published

What a workhorse, I just love this heater. Yes it wasn't cheap, as gas heaters arnt, however it does a great job.
It heats our open plan house downstairs well and even the upstairs gets warmer, and it works fast. I love the kids lock on it. I like the idea of the timer settings but haven't used them. So handy to have a remote, but lost it- damn! All in all this has been a great investment that I expect to have for many years.

Thanks for the review Kez. it's great to hear the heater has fit into your home so well. You can get replacement remotes for the heater, this can be ordered at any plumbing supply company that stocks Rinnai products,

Cheap alternative to electricty

published

Purchased the heater to warm our family room instead of using the ducted reverse cycle air conditioner. Warms the room up a lot quicker and is so much cheaper to run. Highly recommend this heater if you are just wanting to heat the main room you use. It is not suitable to heat the house but then it doesn't claim to.

Great little heater

published

We have 3.1 metre ceilings and a large expanse of tiled floor, and this is all the heating we need in winter. It's a great product very reliable and quiet. Would definitely recommend. While we are yet to use the timer that option is available so you can time it to come home to a cosy room. It cuts off once reaches the desired temperature and is extremely economical to run

Heats 2 bedroom apartment beautifully

published

Purchased 12 months ago. Heats up well and throughout the 76 sq m apartment. It heats up to your desired temperature with the fan then the fan turns off when temperature has reached. The timers are great to start up before you get out of bed. Completely satisfied with this purchase and would recommend . Don't forget to clean filters regularly.

We have had this model in our lounge/family room for several years and it just keeps on working perfectly!
Every winter we just turn it on and enjoy quiet heating with accurate heat sensing.
Safe for families with young ones.
Easy to clean the smooth surface. I just vacuum clean the back filters once or twice a year.

Avenger AV25N (Natural Gas, White)

We have 2 heaters both are omitting a very bad smell. I have turned them off and on a number of times and it is still the same. The gas on the stove top is not smelling at all. I was shafted when I rang technical yesterday, the guy was really rude and didn't want to know about it. So please help. We are cold.
