Flexible plans but reliability variable
No ADSL or NBN Fibre available to our address so we have had NBN Fixed Wireless for quite some time, installation happened quickly and was problem free. Unfortunately, especially of late, the speeds have been highly variable, we are on a 50Mbps/20Mbps plan and rarely get above 10-15Mbps down, often only half that. Also we are experiencing frequent dropouts (mulitple times per day) - do have a support call logged but find these can take considerable time to be addressed. f plans with a good variety of data choices, extra data blocks, if needed, are able to be purchased and applied quickly and VoIP service (when up) is of very good quality. Even though having issues I am reluctant to change providers as happy with Skymesh overall. UPDATE: Did take some time to convince support that the issue was with the NBN hardware and not our PC, network or router (I am an IT Tech' but they still suggested trying another power point, changing cables etc even though I had logs to show dropouts). Notwithstanding, an NBN technician was finally booked and replaced both the outdoor antenna and indoor unit - service has been a dream since. Would like to see an unlimited plan available however as stated in original post, overall happy with Skymesh and sticking with them.

Still waiting for a tech to install the system. Promised 8-12 it is now afternoon 4:30.
If you are going to install a system take a total day of work, SKyMesh will use my complaint in a boardroom on how to get service better and all they need to do is give their customer a time and stick to it. Don't hold your breath!!!
They tell you its the NBN installer, that will be a new graph in their boardroom to discuss.
Not happy, bad service.

Bad nbn wireless
2 years ago when we first got he wireless nbn service via Skymesh it was great - advertised speeds, for the last year it has been hopeless, usually grinding to a halt at peak times. Luckily, although at great cost, we kept Telstra ASDL which is much faster at peak times.

Very Satisfied
Every ISP has good and bad reviews, some justified, some not. When it comes to installation and equipment remember NBN Co. use Ericsson and their sub contractors which both have proven to be pretty bad at their jobs (took nearly 6 months to be compensated for the damage they caused at my home). I've been with Skymesh for almost two years now and apart from scheduled NBN outages there's been no issues. Yesterday I spoke with their customer service looking for a better way to upgrade my data. They not only suggested a customised plan for a little extra money, but when the consultant noticed I was down to 4g for the rest of the month, they offered and added another 20g for free to see me through. How can I complain?

very slow speed and bad technical support
I have a wireless NBN 25mbs with skymesh. The speed was really slow so I call technical support. Since it was a long queue so I requested a call back. No one call me back so I request again the next day. However still no one call me back. So I stay on line this time, after waited for 90minutes, the guy with an uninterested voice answered my call. He told me I have to do the speed test for 3 days before they can investigate for me. So I did, the speed was around 5-7mbs. Speed Drop
Signed up with Skymesh after having an abysmal experience with IINET.After I switched to Skymesh (25/5) I had connection speeds tested with testmy.net of 20-22mbps offpeak and about 12-16.
I was happy with that.
But for the last few weeks it went down all the time offpeak is now 8mbps tops and peak drops to as low as two.
Like with IINET they will only accept their netgauge OOKLA result which is always fantastic.
One night though is was so bad that even their own test was down to 5.3 .

Was the best company now fairly ordinary
We have been with skymesh for a number of years first on satelite NBN now wireless NBN and it has been a great company, have to be fair many connection issues are to do with others like the NBN etc. rather than with skymesh who have done their best to resolve issues. For the first few years drop outs were quite rare but happen much more frequently these days but that could be NBN network problems. All I can say it is not like it used to be. heir customer service has deteriorated quite a bit, for example their call back service does not always work. I have recommended skymesh to a number of friends but they have come back to me about the difficulty of communicating with them both online and by phone and generally are not impressed. Sad to see skymesh has fallen to the lower level of a lot of other providers.1 comment

Poor service
For months now we have been suffering from poor speed. We are testing on a regular basis. Averaging around 2.0Mbps download speed on fixed wireless which is slower than ADSL was. We have complained and were told to do a number of tests. The only satisfactory speed was on the 11th August at 7:00am of 27.2Mbps. It is difficult to work from home with the lack of speed we are receiving. Please fix it!

Good service and good support
NBN wireless. Had issues initially due to a very dodgy install by the NBN contractor. Once resolved service has been great. Skymesh support is very good too.
Would prefer more flexibility in plan, less after hours data and more peak or simply one single data cap.

Armm wherw is my speed! !!
I recently upgraded my plan to get the highest speed and double data. I have my ps4 that is in next room. The current speed testvshows 494.9 kbps and upload 491.5 not exactly happy atm. Would love if it was at least 10 mbps that would make some difference for viewing Netflix and playing games whats going on?

Poor speeds, poor support, high cost
50/20 fixed wireless continual degradation of speeds to the point youtube was unusable in the evening even at low quality settings. Best case was throughput at half of rated speed. Support is difficult to contact by phone and their only advice was that problems were related to NBNCo. Have since moved to different reseller and now all working as it should at a lower price along with better support.

Skymesh or NBN at fault?
My 50/20 Mbps SkyMesh Fixed Wireless service has lately been going downhill to the point where I signed up with Aussie Broadband on a 2nd port to compare the 2. Although SM's support has informed me that NBN Co reported no congestion on my tower, just tonight both services were fluctuating below 13 Mbps at 8.40 PM yet both will hit 45 Mbps or a little more at off-peak times. Perhaps we shouldn't immediately lay all the blame for the current apparently widespread congestion on our ISPs?
Update;
Same deal again tonight at 8PM with both services well under half the 50Mbps I subscribe to yet NBN Co is spruiking a 100Mbps FW service by end of this year. Tell 'em they're dreamin' LOL.

Setup was easy for my NBN. Customer service is good. Connection is reliable with seldom dropouts. However, the speed is not up to what I paid for sometimes.

Worst policies I've ever come across
Have contacted Skymesh in regards to being reconnected after missing payment. I had paid the outstanding balance, only to be told I would have to re-apply for my service. Called back to re-apply to then be told I was no longer eligible to resubmit an application. Obviously not very keen on having customers business.

Horrible customer service, but once set up it's pretty good
It started as probably the worst customer service I've ever experienced, average wait time was over 60 mins per call, and when you do speak to someone most don't have a clue, of half dozen or so times I called I was given conflicting information on the service available for our country property. If it wasn't for the lack of service providers in the area I would've written them off after my second call/hour wasted. Hey Brian, all our plans come with free setup and a free standard installation. Your first bill is just your chosen plan, plus a Wifi router if you opt to purchase one. I checked a few addresses in baffle creek and they were serviceable by Sky Muster satellite, but to accurately ascertain service availability at your property for Fixed Wireless specifically, please call our friendly sales team on 1300 759 637 and they'll be able to confirm this in minutes.

I already had a Skymesh satellite and needed it replaced because of the nbn. Telstra was not an option for me as they only do it through your mobile phone connection and I have poor, intermittent signal at home. $119 was all I paid for a new wifi router, everything else for Sky Muster was free.
