Terrible Service.
Absolutely Horrible Service!
Wanted to try them as a second NBN service to the property (NBN Fixed WiFi). Service was provisioned within time.
One week later the service goes down. tried to call customer service. Was on hold for 40 minutes. Yes 40 minutes. Was it answered after that? NO. It went back to initial selection menu.
So went to their site. Logged a service request. This was on a Thursday afternoon. When I got a call back it was next Monday evening!
They wanted me to do certain troubleshooting steps which I had already done and the...Read more
y say it will have to be referred to NBN. I say fine. Next day (Tuesday) they call again and tell me to keep all the equipment plugged in and powered up so that NBN can troubleshoot. So I leave them on. Next Sunday I see that my service is working again. No confirmation call from SkyMesh, nor NBN. It works for about 5 days Then DEAD.

Poor customer service, poor service delivery.
Having signed up with Skymesh approx 10 yrs ago, I have nevef felt satisfied with the broadband. I have No alternative. Initially we were provided with a wireless setup, we also signed upfor voip. We, together witha numberof neighbours, were very unhappy with its performance, we then progressed to interim sattelite, which wasn't much better. We have now been given sky muster and this appears to be not much of an improvement. Throughout our ten yrs we have had to complain on numerous occasions. Initially we actually got to speak to someone, and ...Read more
that eased our frustrations. Now we are either onthe phone trying to get to the elusive front of the queu only to either be cuttoff or have to end after 30 mins wait. We have REPEATEDLY told skymesh that we do not get a mobile signal at our house and that is impractical to stand 40 mtrs from the house, not knowing how long, if ever the callback is going to be. I spent over three hours on Sunday doing just that, still no callback. One reason you have customers on sky muster is because they can't get a signal so callback is useless, unless you seriously expect people to wait for hours on end in faint hope that they will get a response. I have recently found that I apparently have breached nbn fair use policy and am not allowed to purchase data blocks. This is after using 5 Gb plus 2 Gb data blocks. Is this in line with nbn fup, because from what I have read it doesn't appear to be. I would like an answer BUT CAN'T SPEAK TO ANYONE ABOUT IT. I did email asupport request, and guess what they phoned me! I see that [Name Removed], who I assume is [Name Removed] we signed up with when he started, now seems prepared to churn customers with other providers. This of course is in stark contrast to the [Name Removed] who valued customers when he started Skymesh. It appears tbat 10 yrs means nothing to skymesh, I shouldn't really be surprised, but still live in hope that loyalty works both ways. I one extremely fed up customer. I have received comments from [Name Removed]. Some of the issues appear due to skymuster and that is putting strain on skymesh systems. I am hopeful that I will not have a repeat of my recent experience and have been assured that new systems are in place to prevent lengthy call waiting times. I have also been informed that the cause of me not being able to purchase data blocks/change plans has been fixed. Bob, one less fed up customer.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

I connected with Skymesh some time ago, Was okay but Internet speeds rapidly fell far below Dial up speed. Promised refunds after it was investigated by Tech support that the service I was being charged for was un obtainable. Constant phone tag with complaints dept. Switched to Aussie Broadband. Ran both services side by side and Aussie always significantly faster.

Good personalised service.
Very happy so far! Fixed Wireless. Well priced plans, reliable connection, phone customer service is same as other ISPs at the moment due to SkyMuster demand, so I'd recommend emailing, very quick!

Great service from sales - none from support.
I decided to switch to Skymesh after hearing good reports from friends and other websites. I got great service from the sales team to get an account up and running, but any subsequent attempts to contact support have been futile. Their excuse is that they are swamped by new customers for their satellite service, but the fact is that they just don't answer the phone, and email queries take days or weeks to get any useful response. The speed of the service (NBN fixed wireless) is nowhere near the advertised numbers.

Reminds Me of Dial Up From Last Century
I signed up for the 2 month trial when NBN wireless first arrived in our area and it was awesome, since then and after we signed up it's been a slow decline in internet download speed for the first 12 month and then down hill plunge to days when we would have been better off on dial up. Many hours of my precious time doing equipment checks with SkyMesh tech over the phone all resulting in the same conclusion (equipment working perfect) and many emails between SkyMesh and NBN both blaming each other. When I first start my plan, I could watch a c...Read more
ouple of movies a month and not go over my allowance now we cannot watch movies because download speed is too slow and we are using double the data, figure that one out! Switching to another ISP may be only option, I've been very patient over the last 12-18 months. What a disappointment.1 comment

Fantastic service & can sort out NBN connections that Telstra can't
When NBN came to our rural town we signed up with Telstra under the guise that whilst they are expensive they would be fast & know what they were doing. Instead they fumbled and bumbled the connection for nearly two months of constant back & forth calls & emails with excuses, delays and asking for information they already had before eventually telling us we cannot be connected to NBN Fixed Wireless as we were too far from the tower (only 11kms with clear line of sight to tower) and that was that - they cancelled the application.

a recommendation from someone in town regarding Skymesh and the first day after sending our application into Skymesh they were onto NBN to get them to re-categorise our property as serviceable, something that was apparently beyond the bumbling representatives at Telstra (they had exactly the same information as Telstra did). Within a week our appointment for installation had been booked & confirmed. We've now been with Skymesh for awhile and am immensely pleased with the price & speed, we're rural in the middle of nowhere and our connection is faster & more reliable than when we were in the heart of Sydney with another ISP. TL;DR - better than Telstra, excellent service, quick internet speeds, good value for moneySimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Skymesh via NBN Fixed Wireless
Recently had NBN fixed wireless become available in my area and decided to try Skymesh as they offered a 2 month trial. Service was available moments after the installer left. Skymesh persisted with NBN Co to fix a local problem with the 50/20 tier which has resulted in very useable speeds. The customer service offered by Skymesh is very good and you speak to an Aussie in Australia. I am now a very comfortable Skymesh client and intend to stay that way.

Fantastic Company, new energy the sector needs.
We are now on our fifth month of a Skymesh NBN Fixed Wireless service, and we have had a fantastic experience from day one.
Speeds for domestic and international traffic were better than we expected, and we are really thrilled at our upload capabilities, making it easier for us to use the Cloud Services such as Dropbox, Office 365 and very soon Backblaze as part of our work from home.
More than happy to support a QLD business, and really hopeful that this sort of energy is copied by other Service Providers in the years ahead.

Great ISP, awesome wireless speed.
Skymesh has been a great ISP to deal with since I connected with NBN Wireless. Their customer service is top notch, always willing to help out with any issues. I was part of the free trial when they began, when I had connection issues for 2 weeks they gave me an extra free month which is incredible. Reliability of service is pretty good, I have the occasional drop outs but I think that's normal for wireless but its not as bad as the adsl I had oreviously. All in all skymesh are the best ISP in Australia

Why look elsewhere?
Have had NBN Wireless with them since August 2012.
This fussy IT veteran is delighted by SkyMesh's exemplary customer and tech support.
In case their standard plans don't suit, SkyMesh will match other RSP's plans, and allow custom plans.
No long contract lock-ins, just month to month.
And their MD provides prompt, courteous, and helpful assistance on Whirlpool.

Good!
Changed to SkyMesh from a cheap provider for my NBN Fixed Wireless connection.
Had problems with overseas streaming TV shows with the 'cheapy' one - they were unwatchable most of the time due to buffering. No or very few problems now. Thanks SkyMesh :-)

What is the initial setup cost if I switch from Telstra adsl to Skymesh at baffle creek 4674

Hey Brian, all our plans come with free setup and a free standard installation. Your first bill is just your chosen plan, plus a Wifi router if you opt to purchase one. I checked a few addresses in baffle creek and they were serviceable by Sky Muster satellite, but to accurately ascertain service availability at your property for Fixed Wireless specifically, please call our friendly sales team on 1300 759 637 and they'll be able to confirm this in minutes.
We hope that helps.
Thanks

I already had a Skymesh satellite and needed it replaced because of the nbn. Telstra was not an option for me as they only do it through your mobile phone connection and I have poor, intermittent signal at home. $119 was all I paid for a new wifi router, everything else for Sky Muster was free. d see if the problem transfers with you. As you know, we don't have the capability to fix problems with nbn co's Fixed Wireless network, all we can do is go through the troubleshooting steps that nbn co requires you to do, then feed back the information to them. They will only arrange a service call when they are sure that the problem is not your computer or router or home network, hence all the tests we ask you to run. We suspect that some parts of nbn co's Fixed Wireless network are congested due to everyone participating in the (up to) 50/20 Mbps pilot. Once the pilot concludes and people have to pay $10 per month for the extra speed they will just go back to 25/5 Mbps and the congestion will clear up. Anyway, it's your call whether to persevere or to transfer away, we can't fix the problem, and nbn co won't fix the problem unless you go through all their troubleshooting steps. Thanks, Paul
