Tangerine tastes very sweet!
Connecting our NBN internet service with Tangerine has been seamless. NBN was connected and the modem delivered within two weeks of signing up. We have two phones, two laptops and a smart tv using the internet in our home and the speeds are very fast and the connection reliable. Best price per package I could find when comparing a huge amount of NBN providers. Tangerine staff are always very helpful on the website online chat service. Great service and product.

Perfect communication and transparent about what to expect
I have only just signed up with tangerine with their BYO plan and they have been perfect in helping to get an NBN tech over, also with their trouble shooting. They tell you exactly what to expect. I don't like surprises, like the ones you get with Belong, shocking!

Should have connected a long time ago
The connection setup was easy and straight forward with nbnco coming out and having me connected within 10 days. Very fast compared to my old 4g connection and cheaper too.

What a smart and reliable!!
Previously, I tried to join with aussie BB but it failed because there was a faulty on nbn line. A month later, I joined in tangerine they found what the problem was and arranged a nbn technician then it worked. They did all process instantly so it took only two days from ordering service( If nbn was no faulty it will take few hours for connection)
I am happy with the speed when I use netflix on peak time. I surely recommend this.

Excellent customer service and quick instillation
I was impressed with Tangerine’s service. NBN had just arrived in my area, and within one week of ordering the NBN standard Speed service, they had booked an appointment with an NBN technician and my NBN was up and running and at the speeds outlined in the plan. I have already recommended their services to a friend.

Perfect for the kids
I have just had my internet connected. Wow, what a great streamlined process. My modem arrived the next day, and had a technician appointment within the week. Was all too easy, we have had no issues with the speed etc. thank you Tangerine!!

I am deeply frustrated with the service that I have received from Tangerine so far and would like to point out some of frustrating and depressing facts:
I called and placed my order on March 17th, team member charged my account twice and also didn’t put the order in the system.
I called again on March 27th to check the progress and was advised that the order wasn’t placed in the system and someone would expedite my service to be activated as soon as possible.
On Mar 27, I received the confirmation for the activation of my service on April 20th,...Read more

An Oasis in a Telecommunications Desert
I had a Telstra cable internet connection and was without service for 7 weeks so I switched to Belong ADSL2. If the connection worked at all in the last few weeks, it was extremely slow and intermittent. Belong's call centre is closed, the chat room is automated and provides no technical support. They can't be contacted in any other way and the site provides no way to cancel the "service" so I ended up trying Tangerine. Call centre was exceptional, the technician arrived on time and was very professional. No dropouts so far.

Reliable
We have had the internet for a week now and no drop outs or issues. We initially couldn’t get connected however they sent out an NBN technician and we realised we had the wrong modem for our area. We both work from home and stream tv shows, its been great.

Disappointed is understatement
Signing up to nbn thought this was going to be a simple process check again firstly I was booked in to receive internet connection on Easter Sunday which I thought was odd who works than? Then I send a message confirming that that was correct which I had a response yes so as expected no one turned up and then Monday I got a new date for another 2 week wait (4 weeks in total) finally hooray! The guy comes to install but some reason not working I call the support team they said 2ic is going to be in touch usually working the hour next day still nothing I saw the reviews on how good this company is and reasonable priced I am very disappointed

I had it connected a week ago. So far it's perfect. It gives me top speed even at peak hours. No dropouts so far since the initial couple of hours of connection.

Excellent customer support and a reliable connection.
Tangerine's customer service is good and their connection is really reliable. I have used many other internet providers and Tangerine seems to better and affordable. Easy to sign up also.

Quick, easy and fuss-free
I needed a quick and reliable broadband service as spending more time working from home (due to virus). I also wanted something economical as I only browse the net and don't do much downloading. Came across a pretty good deal with Tangerine ($50 for 6 months, then $60 - also got a $25 discount using a referral code for 21Mpb). I checked their reviews as was considering another supplier but Tangerine's services was rated much more positively.
The sign up process was easy, and was glad I got my modem within 4 days as was expecting high demand du...Read more

Don't trust these reviews, their support team is untrustworthy and unreliable
Account: 68695
Do not make the same mistake of trusting these reviews like I did. I thought Tangerine could be a different provider that actually cares about their customers, but I have made a massive mistake in trusting their support staff now, and as a result, I am currently there days without any internet.
I cancelled my service with my old ISP on Sunday and had set my service start date to be on Monday, 20th of April with Tangerine. I received an email on Monday morning confirming that my request was getting sent to the carrier for activa...Read more
tion...here's where it all starts. I call their support staff on Monday to advise that I don't need a transfer, I need my service activate to confirm in case the online process may have suspected that I need a transfer instead. He told me "It should still be fine, they should treat it the same. Just wait for an update from us, usually takes a couple of hours" I call on Monday evening before they are due to shutdown their activation team and tell them what I had told the other guy. He says the transfer failed - I explain the same situation again and he tells me that he will let his provisioning team know this time around to do the right thing. He says it should be good to go by Tuesday morning. I receive the same type of email confirmation shortly after the call ended advising me they are getting in contact with the carrier, which I suspect they are doing the same thing incorrectly with the transfer. Tuesday morning comes with no internet.. I call them for an update - the guy tells me the transfer failed again???? I told him I did not need a transfer like I have explained to more than three people at this stage, I need an activation. He said he can't speak on what his colleagues have down, but hr finally does the right thing by saying I will let our provisioning team know and I could tell he did something right because I received an email from him requesting for my modem details for the activation, something I never got when I activated, and from the other three support staff. He said it should be good to go by Tuesday afternoon and wait for an email confirmation. I reply to the email with all of my details immediately and ask for an update in the afternoon. Same guy picks up, doesn't know when and puts me through to the provisioning team. I speak with a guy and he tells me that he has received the requests and just waiting on NBN, but that the previous requests were all for transfers which validates that the support staff were completely unreliable. He says if it's a simple remote activation, should be ok within 24 hours (They all keep saying this). Call back on Wednesday (today) and spoke to a female support staff, puts me on hold for over 10 minutes and doesn't have an answer for me. Says the same story again and advises there are no updates. Support staff lie, don't listen and are completely unreliable. I haven't even been able to use the internet to test out how it is and I imagine it won't even be that good. I've wasted days while at work trying to sort this out. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AS I DID AND TRUST THESE REVIEWS. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU, THEY AREN'T DIFFERENT. JUST THE SAME TELCO RUBBISH. They will constantly lie and even when you try to fix something to help them further out, they don't care at all.1 comment

how many wifi devices I can connect to internet?
1 answer
As many as your modem recommends
I would say generally around 6-8 devices a standard modem could handle easily but depending on what you are downloading/uploading
A more expensive modem can handle a lot more
But as far as 25mbps nbn Speed id limit it to 3-4 devices used at the same time to get the best out of it

er with us has led to a longer period of downtime that we would expect. NBN Co are also extremely busy during this time and in circumstances like yours we require them to manually activate your service remotely. Delays with information from NBN Co has led to conflicting information being advised by our team and we apologise for this. For other reading this review, we strongly recommend not cancelling your service with your old provider until you are successfully online with us. In the scenario described above we initially submitted a transfer request on the service as it was coming from another provider. At the same time the old service was cancelled. This led to the initial transfer request failing and a remote activation request needing to be submitted to NBN Co. Due to multiple orders in the system and delays with coronavirus workload we are afraid that this has not gone as smoothly as a usual transfer request.
