Cheap and cheerful RSP
This is my first connection via FTTC. I was unaware that I'd need to talk to a technician, the advice I'd seen was that you just plug in a router via the WAN port. I did that and got no internet connectivity. Gave up and was busy moving into the new place when I got a call from Tangerine. I didn't have a PC set up yet and my tablet is over 5 years old. I had to use it via a mobile hotspot while I set things up. Anyway, the fellow was based at a call centre in the Philippines. He happily walked me through the setup of my BYO router including the firmware update and was very patient. By the end of the call everything worked. So, very happy with the whole affair.

Extremely easy and great value
We were a bit hesitant to go with this company as we've never heard of them before, live in a small regional town, and absolutely detest TelCo companies (cough cough Telstra). But we thought we may as well try it as there's a 14 day trial period if you aren't happy. So far the company has exceeded our expectations, it's been completely seamless and the best experience I've had with a TelCo company.

bought our own modem and configured it ourselves - we aren't extremely techy people but was pretty easy. The speed can vary depending on the time, but it is quite fast considering everyone on our street is quarantining at home using the internet, I managed to download an 85gb game in about four hours. If you're thinking about going with this company, do it! Don't give the big companies any more business, Tangerine is proof that you don't need to pay and arm and a leg to have good internet! Easy and cheap, no complaints
Set up was easy, had to call and reschedule, but they were very accommodating. Internet has been great so far, no dropouts and budget friendly. Did try to call tech support when setting up and was met with a 70 minute wait, but given the price and the current situation, not unsurprising.

Seamless connection & startup.
Nbn tech did his bit with the connection to the house & an hour later it was up & running without any phone calls to support. It just started working after powering off/on the modem & has been excellent since.

Excellent tech support, speeds are much better than our last NBN provider however getting the bundled SIM activated took a few calls and a few weeks of paying two providers.

Not great speed nor reliable connectivity
I have been a Tangerine customer for about 2 months and ever since I have had this connection I have been seeing poor connectivity issues, bad speeds but I never had time to follow it up.
But since this lockdown I have to work from home and thats when it went worse. Even though they say its 21 Mbps typical evening speeds, I only got aroun 4-10 Mbps.
On complaining they could not find a problem. So I asked to increase the plan to XL. and it looks like they bumped it to XXL. On XXL I am getting speed of XL connection now.

Poor customer service and system
They had an issue charging my automatic debit, then I had to manually pay it. They charged me 15 dollars in late payment when it was their fault.
Also came across other communications. When chatting with them, half the time their system was down. They also do not communicate amongst themselves as I have to repeat the same information over and over to each person I talk to there.

Fast connection and decent speed
No dropouts over the 4 days since connection.
Decent speeds 11-19mbps during both off and on peak times which is enough to stream netflix and use on multiple phones.
Less than 24hrs for connection to complete.

Extremely Poor Customer Service
Ineffective and totally unresponsive customer service. No updates to tell you when requests or issues are completed, the only updates I receive are invoices. And the invoice amount is incorrect.
They've told me the wrong information multiple times. And literally took direct questioning from my end to for them to go away and confirm that what I had raised was correct. uld continue charging me at a higher rate than the actual plan I am on. That is - simply put - cheating money from the customer. First off, getting connected the first time took more than a week. Since getting connected and using the internet, I received an e-mail from Tangerine stating they've detected no usage on my account and asking me why that was. I replied saying I'd been using their service for a few days and questioning why I got that comms. No response from them at all. Since then, I've experienced a number of outages, and the speed isn't always as advertised. But what gets my goat is that I recently requested to be upgraded to the XL plan. I requested this on the 1st April and they were quick to tell me my next bill would be the upgraded plan price for the whole month. They then confirmed that my plan would be upgraded within 24 hours. After 24 hours nothing had happened, so I had to get back in contact. I then found out they did not manage to upgrade me successfully. No notification was provided to me about this. And after that, I've been told to wait while they wait for a response from their provisioning partner/provider. So again I am waiting and waiting. I made it clear that I do not expect to be charged the new rate for the full month, which the agent confirmed. So it has been almost a week, I am still on the lowest speed plan and what do you know? The invoice has come today showing a billing for the upgraded service for the full month, which is not accurate! So for the third time, I will need to get on the line with an agent regarding this issue! It was a simple request to upgrade my plan and I have needed to get in touch 3 times, during which there has been no resolution for my simple request. I know there shouldn't be any issues receiving the upgraded speed as I was on that with another provider before. So now I'm initiating call number 3 over this minor request. I would say generally around 6-8 devices a standard modem could handle easily but depending on what you are downloading/uploading
A more expensive modem can handle a lot more
But as far as 25mbps nbn Speed id limit it to 3-4 devices used at the same time to get the best out of it
