There is a reason its cheap..

published

I paid extra for 25+mbps and found the speeds woeful. Opten failed to stream and I ended up using the 4G on my phone! PLUS $200 to relocate the service if you have to move! What a joke. My advice, stick to the names you know, give Teleron a miss.

So happy I moved to Teleron

published

Since I joined the nbn with another copeny I thought that the nbn is a big waist of money. The internet speed was not even close to be in normal rate, even when I upgraded to a nbn50 it was less then 1M per second for download, but since I moved to Teleron I can finally enjoy streaming without any issues, my downloads are been finalized within minutes and all the process of shifting to Teleron was smooth and without any issues - their service is the best.

I switched from tpg to teleron a few months ago to get a better deal. I love the customer service, I am totally technically clueless but they are very patient and helpful.

Extremely rude and threatening

published

When my pre teleron service was excellent i have the good NBN but decided to try reducing costs. Teleron service was too slow to watch basic news items on internet then dropped out totally. I changed to TPG. Like a snail to a rocket ship Teleron where extremely rude and threatening. Without a bill or any kind of notice they removed 250 from my bank account (cancellation fee) within half hour of cancelling my service they could not provide. Bank grabbed it back from them so then. I got threatening emails of legal action etc. so i paid it again. And will contact ombudsman. Beware they do not behave like any business i have come across in my 60 years big chip on there shoulder.

Easy setup and reliable. Great late night tech service from guys who know their stuff and are patient to keep it simple for non-techys. A recent problem was quickly discovered by Craig to be a general exchange outage with a fault report submitted. It's been a day and awaiting a fix. Dave and Craig there offer great tech service.... !!!

Excellent in peak hours and helpful when moving

I was living in Melbourne with FTTP which was great and was with teleron. I moved to Sydney and they assisted me with the move, made it easy for me. They explained the difference between FTTP and FTTN (as you connect your modem differently) and I now have connection again. I consistently get 90mb/s during non peak hour and 80 to 90mb/s during peak hour. I could not be happier. They are so friendly and always wanting to assist me. I cannot recommend them more

Basically fraud

The level of service with these guys is non existent. They own nothing and just resell others products. They under-buy massively and you can expect (in Melbourne at least) to have no ability to play games or expect a stable connection. Limited service hours. Rude staff, refusal to help. I'm paying my $200 break-fee happily to end this contract early. Do not sign. I suspect most of these 'positive' reviews have been purchased by Teleron themselves. It's exactly the sort of thing an unscrupulous company such as this would do.

Worst company service ever

published

We had Teleron NBN connection to an elderly persons home and the connection was repeatedly lost which necessitated resetting of the modem each time. Now you might think that an easy process. Press a button and off you go right, No. There were so many steps to resetting the service and it was so time consuming it became beyond a joke. The service was supposed to include a phone service but it took 2 months to set that up and running and then it would be on an off over and over again. The service was so bad it put the elderly person in danger. If she were to have a fall there were days on end when the service just wasn't operational. Its not user friendly, efficient or reliable. But yes, it was cheap. You get what you pay for.

Very accommodating and Internet working well

published

Have had major issues with Telstra over the years so decided to go with a smaller internet provider when I moved into a new apartment. Having read reviews we decided to try Teleron. Unfortunately we can't get NBN at the moment, but Teleron have provided me with ADSL on a month to month basis until NBN shows up which should be around September. Can't fault the customer service, "Ethan" was very helpful answering my questions. Speeds seem decent too, Netflix works well in all our rooms (no buffering), and I regularly work from home using a VPN with no issues. Would recommend.

OMG They actual provide what they advertise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After 5 yrs with Optus and absolutely sick of the ongoing drama with their call centre NEVER getting it right I decided to go with Teleron. Modem arrived when they said it would. They were quick with connection and everything went smoothly as they said it would. On the 12 Mbps plan and so far so good. I love the fact their call centre is in Australia and they are quick to get back to you. No more waiting for days to get a response.

Excellent product and service

I'm in Darwin NT and have had Teleron for about 6 months now. The customer service was excellent when purchasing, and I haven't had to contact them since. NBN setup was done within the week and was hassle free. I have not had any issues with connection or speed. My connection has been 100% reliable. I would recommend Teleron to anyone.

Signed up to NBN 100mb/s FTTN plan - getting consistent speeds of 90mb/s which is great for my small business.

Customer service is poor and responses vague when you can actually get hold of them. I have run numerous speed tests and Teleron just don't seem to care. I'm in the market for a new NBN provider, stay away from these guys.

Great customer services

published

Signed up with Teleron based on reviews and they've been great.
Really quick set up (other than issues with the NBN box which was an issue with the NBN roll out process not the provider).
I am in a new estate with fibre direct to my house so the speed is usually close to the upper end of the advertised limit.
Customer services is excellent. Respond to e-mails within an hour (any time) and if you call, you'll be talking to an Australian fluent speaking tech with out the multiple choice 'reason for your call' questionnaire.

Customer Service absolutely destroys the competition

published

Our NBN connection was up and running within 2 days of purchasing a plan. A year later, after experiencing speeds of up to 91Mbps with 0 dropouts, some roadworks interrupted our optical fibre connection. Teleron were able to send an Engineer the following business day who turned up at the time specified, on time, and had it fixed within the hour.

Customer Support answered my call at 8:50am to help me re-configure the modem, within minutes we were up and running again. This type of Customer Service is hard to find, which is why I'm writing this review (well done guys!)

Hi,
I have recently discovered the unreliability of the FTTN NBN. I have 5 days with no internet. Shoddy NBN techs. So I am curious if you offer a 4G backup like Telstra?
Thanks,
