We booked a Japan tour with Nexus Holiday Sydney (through Webjet Exclusives). Sent many emails request to postpone the tour due to coronavirus health concern since our goup is over 60 years, but received little help and unreasonable charges to change the date .

What a nightmare. Booked trip to Japan for 24th March 2020 through Webjet Exclusives in September 2022. We received tickets late yesterday (after the government advice not to travel). Have sent many emails re cancelling or rescheduling as we are over 65 and as all media/health reports state at a higher risk. been told weeks ago that to reschedule will cost us more Admin fees and probability of airline fees for rescheduling - a considerate amount. Who knew when we booked that responsibility would be passed to a third party, Tomato Travel. Currently been trying to contact TT to reschedule (our only option so we don’t lose all our money). Have sent emails (unanswered) and have been trying to ring for 48 hours. Phones constantly engaged! How disappointing, so where to from here? Never will book or recommend Webjet again. Worst Customer Service
Eleven days ago Webjet emailed with options to change a cancelled flight, we responded and waited the requested 72 hours to receive confirmation. Two emails and four phone calls and still nothing! Due to fly out 1.05am 16th March with no confirmation. Can't get a response from anyone either by email, phone or on chat. Called again this morning and no option to hold or speak with anyone. Will never use Webjet Exclusives again.

In 2022 my mother booked a beautiful holiday for March 2020 to Egypt, Israel and Jordan. They happily helped her with her booking, accepted her money encouraged her to use their insurance etc. Easy.
She is now scheduled to be departing for this holiday in 2 weeks and Israel is not accepting tourists. I have been trying to help her figure out what is happening with her travel plans now that there are so many restrictions due to the Coronavirus (Webjet Exclusives are not responding to her emails).

Exclusives. I asked what are the options for my mother for this upcoming holiday as one of the three countries is no longer accepting tourists. That’s a third of the holiday destinations excluded. SO, I was expecting his response to be, yes I am aware of this and obviously the tour she has booked cannot be fulfilled so here are her options. Not only did he seem unaware of this restriction (he was surprised and put me on hold to investigate) when he returned to my call he simply told my mother to wait for an email with her options. When I asked for example what options people currently about to embark on this tour had he said he did not know as each case is individual! This was a ridiculous thing to say. You either refund the cost of the tour because it cannot be fulfilled as you offered it or you allow your customer to rebook for another time. When asked when we would receive these “options” he had no idea. So, two weeks out and unable to enter one of the three countries promised on the tour and Webjet Exclusives have ZERO options for my mother, she was left being told to wait for an email that he has no idea when it will be sent and has no idea what her options will be. We have booked a 27 day Grand Canada tour with Rocky Mountaineer, Alaska cruise and flights, Webjet Exclusives Ref: BAU2389465, plus a breakaway flight upgrade with a 6 day earlier departure date leaving Brisbane 22 May 2020. Yesterday, I learnt via an article in the Courier Mail, that the World Health Organisation issued an analysis that males with heart disease have a death rate from COVID-19 of 13.2 percent versus 1.4 percent for those with no chronic health condition. That is, I have ten times the risk of dying from COVID-19. I have contacted Webjet Exclusives, Roman Ferrer, by email and by phone and requested a refund of $34,465.60 because I have had a heart operation and have Ischaemic heart disease and do not wish to die because of this Webjet Exclusives trip. Roman's reply: "As per our terms and conditions, your booking is strictly non-refundable, non-transferable and non-changeable." He also said something along the lines; their agents involved in the tour have not contacted them regarding this tour, so we will not provide you with a refund. In short; go on this Webjet Exclusives holiday and risk your death. 25 day Egypt, Jordan and Israel tour
We have just returned from a 25 day Egypt, Jordan and Israel tour and it was great value for money. Our guides were great, accomadtion good the hotels were all close to the city so we were able to walk everywhere. Food was good so much to choose from.
The only negative comment is webjet could not tell us about the extra activities and that we would be able to pay in AUD, even though I had sent an email to them.
The negative things we had read from people didn't happen to us.
We will be doing more webjet holidays in the future

A very enjoyable tour of Sri Lanka
We have just arrived back from a most enjoyable 15 day tour with Webjet Exclusive / Journey/ Scapes(company in Sri Lanka). We were extremely well looked after by our tour leader- Ranjith Ratnayake. Also a great assistant Mr Prasanna & very competent driver Mr Sumith. Ranjith was very friendly and extremely helpful at all times. He was very thorough in explaining the culture, customs and information about places we visited and passed through. He readily answered any questions we had, nothing was too much trouble for him.
We enjoyed all the places we visited especially climbing up Lion Rock at Sigiriya. Accommodation and meals were excellent. We have no hesitation in recommending this tour to anyone travelling to Sri Lanka.

Worst company to deal with!!!
The most difficult company to deal with and the most ridiculous procedures and policies! Happy to take your money but when you want something from them ie a quote they are terrible. Requested a quote for an upgrade of flights and extension 5 months ago and after numerous calls and emails finally received it yesterday. Rang again this afternoon and got a different person who stated much the same thing but that the flights team don’t have a set time to reply to emails and would basically get round to it when they felt like it! In the meantime I’m trying to book extra accomodation for extended days that may or may not happen and I have no idea what’s happening with the upgrade! Recent phone call, i was told that they have to wait for Expedition Exclusives to refund them, i called expedition Exclusives and they informed me they have not received any money from webjet exclusives and because i didn't redeem my trip they didn't receive any money. I explained this to webjet and they said they were refunding people on order of bookings, even though their email clearly states i will refunded in 7 days, 20 days later no one will help me or refund my money. when i request to speak to someone from the accounts area or someone in charge, i get told they are busy and will ring me back, guess what, no return phone call. Can't plan another holiday tour because Webjet won't refund our money, they are making interest on my money in their bank while i pay for it. Don't believe anything this company advertises its all just lies, once they have your money they don't care or want to help you. I will be contacting AFTA and ACCC to try to get my money refunded. my advice to other travellers, don't risk your money with Webjet or Webjet Exclusives, it's not worth the risk, go with a company that cares about you and will look after you.3 comments

Possibly the worst experience I've had with any travel agency in my life.
Summary:
1. Does not live up to their promises.
2. Poor level of communication.
3. Will always push the blame on either their 'travel partner' or on you as the customer (as per all the replies on their bad reviews so far and probably this review as well)

We have booked a Webjet Exclusives holiday in May 2020. We have been waiting for our final invoice. In Early January 2020 I emailed WebjetExclusives requesting the final invoice. I was advised it would be sent in due course but I could request an invoice if I wished to pay now. I made the request in a confirming email. On 7 February I searched for a phone number for Webjet, waited for 45 minutes on hold before it was answered and I was advised after some discussions an invoice was issued in Dec. I confirmed that I had never received san invoice. I confirmed with the customer service officer my correct contact details which Webjet had. I was promised a further invoice with 2 business days. On 12 February I rang again as I had still not received an invoice. The customer service officer prioritised my request, gave me a Case Reference number and apologised. Agin I checked my contact details whcih were the same. 2 hours later a "Reminder of an Unpaid Invocie" was received demanding full payment within 3 days and cancellation of our booking if we failed to pay in time. No invoice is atached but there is web link. I clicked on the link in the email to discover only credit card payments would be accepted to ensure payment within the time limit. Although BPay was permitted the invoice clearly states that BPay can take up to 5 days and caustioned all customers to use another method if there wewertime constaints. I sought to split my payment as my credit card limit was less than the full amount of the invoice. Having chosen a method the site does not permit the customer to change methods. I then phoned Webjet again and waited and eventually the custoimer service officer reset the email link to permit me to access the invoice. It was only possibler to comply withe demands of payment in less than 3 days by having my wife pay on her credit card. I will never use Webjet again!!!!2 comments

Booked a one way flight to Hong Kong on Virgin Australia to pick up a cruise back to Sydney in August of 2020 Virgin Australia have cancelled ALL flights to Hong Kong after May because it is not making a profit
Consequently because it is cancelled by the airline and not ME one would expect a full refund with webjet that is not the case they are charging me a 10% cancellation fee even though I did not cancel

Buyer Beware! - Don't live up to promises - Credit card claims operators know them well!
Webjet have set up a business model that is design to deceive and take peoples money. In no way is the process transparent. The website and email communications make little attempt to explain how the booking will be made and what to expect and Webjet don't stick to any time frames they set out in these communications. Cheap but you get what you pay for.
Initial booking details were to be advised to me in 3 business days after booking. 4 or 5 days later no details. Contacted Webjet Exclusives via 24 Online chat, which ironically was quite often...Read more
"Offline". Get promised contact in 48 hours, no contact after 4 days. Again chased them up, when I could catch the 24 hour chat with an "online status". (I think they have misunderstood the term "24 hour"). Told them I wanted a refund, they told me they don't do refunds. Asked to speak to a supervisor as I explained I don't pay companies who do not deliver the service they promise. After much back and forth got an email stating refund would be processed and allow 5-7 days for bank transactions etc. Fair enough. Two weeks later no refund, I lodged a claim with my bank. I continued to chased up refund still with Webjet Exclusives, who informed me that the person who was supposed to do the refund forgot. Finally when I got my refund after another 2 to 3 week wait and cancelled the claim with my bank, my bank tells me they quite often get complaints from customers with this company. Go figure. This is the 1st time I have used Webjet and likely to be that last. We booked a Canada and Alaska Holiday with Webjet in October 2022. Asked for a quote for an upgrade to Premium economy on 13 Oct 2022. Confirmed that they received request via email on 14 Oct 2022. still do nothing. Received an invoice end of Dec 2022. This invoice required payment by 26 Jan 2020. Since then have made 4 calls to the call center to request that the amount (AUD19.6K) be paid over three payments a week apart - Still making my due date of 26 Jan 2020. This was so that I could use my credit card and stay within the limit on the card. After making yet another call to Webjet on 2 Jan 2020 I was advised that this could be done through phone payment system. Tried this and It would only accept the full payment. After this failed attempt to pay (based on the instruction from the call center) I received an email (30 minutes later) from Webjet advising that I had 72 hours to finalize the invoice or the trip would be cancelled. On receiving the email I sent a reply to Webjet outlining the issue that I had with Phone Payment system and confirmed & committed the payment schedule to finalize by 26 Jan 2020 - By late 3 Jan 2020 I had not received an reply so I again called the call center. As usual they apologized (put me on hold as they normally do) and went away for 30 mins to investigate - Came back and advised that the trip would be cancelled and new invoice issued by Finance the the next business day so I could pay as per my request. Today is 10 Jan 2020 still no email with the new invoice so I rang again and was told they had no record of my request and my payment schedule could not be agreed to. I Asked to speak to the supervisor was told that the supervisor was not around and that they did not know when they would be back. Asked for the HO phone number of Webjet in Australia. They advised that Webjet in Australia did not have a phone line????? Think I have had enough. If this is what the service is like I have no confidence that the trip will go well. - Pretty concerned. Do not book with this company. My friend and I have just booked a holiday to Cambodia we checked all information checked the fine print page also exclusion all very carefully decided to go ahead and pay the he deposit.
On receiving an email for the deposit paid we find out that we need to pay an extra $300 because we are leaving from Brisbane. We booked our trip with you, you then handed it over to Tomato Travel, who have not given us a refund, neither will they give us a letter to take it up with our Insurance company. Can you please contact them and request they get in touch with us. Our departure date was May 12th, from Lillian Caster

I too booked a trip with Wedjet Exclusives in August for a departure in June for Japan 2020.Which Webjet handed over to Tomato Travel i never have heard of Tomato Travel.Webjet are the company who promoted the tour therefore it's up to Webjet to secure a full refund from Tomato Travel on our behalf.Have read a lot of bad reports about Webjet for not fully offering full refunds only gift cards.I will not be using Webjet again From John.C
I am with you John, will never ever use webjet again. Tomato Travel have turned their phones off, not answering emails either. We customers should take this further, perhaps class action like what people are doing with Flight Centre.
Just want to let you all know. I put in a refund request through PayPal, and have just been informed I'm getting all my deposit back after webjet wouldn't give me a cent. Place a request in through PayPal and see how you go

Why is it some people have got a refund and we can only get an e-card that expires in one year. What if this lasts longer. We despertely need the money not a gift card.

We booked and paid for an India trip $8500, that got cancelled due to the coronavirus, received a gift card that we wont be able to use. Have been trying to contact them several times for a refund, they never reply. At a loss about what to do.
Might be time to try Office of Fair Trading or ACCC

Can you please advise us how we can get into our account when our password is not accepted and we receive no emails when we ask to change it.
