Terrible communications and they cancelled our booking
If you book, watch them.
In July 2022, we booked and paid the deposit for the Middle East Tour in 2020. Webjet want the final payment 4 months before the departure. Webjet claimed they sent us an email with final invoice. We never received it.
We contacted them as we hadn't heard from them, but they had cancelled our booking, keeping our deposit.
They used another Webjet email address, not the same one we booked with, and had been using to communicate with them from the start.

Switzerland was Awesome
Would like to thankyou for an incredible memorable journey. Everything was well organised. Received all the documentation 12 days before journey - as stated. All instructions, vouchers etc were clear, precise and easy to understand. The accommodation was very acceptable, quiet for a good nights rest, all breakfast meals provided. p - and will use Webjet Exclusives again. If there was only one comment - I would invest a bit more into the Administration organisation at the very beginning of booking and close to the depatures- as clients are very sceptical about sending off deposits and not receiving clear information. Clients are always trying to plan their trip and with the information received this can be very minimal until final documentation is received through . However, all in all we had a wonderful trip - wonderful value for the experiences we received.1 comment

25 Day Middle East tour, including Egypt, Jordan and Israel
TOUR - it was fantastic and the local tour operators did a wonderful job and made sure we saw and did as much as possible. It was all very well organised.
ACCOMMODATION - after reading reviews on here we found the accommodation was as good and sometimes better than expected - but definitely not 4 star. In 2 cities and on the Nile cruise we had different hotels and cruise boat than was listed in the final documentation. A bit annoying at the time as we all expected what the final paperwork listed, but overall very happy with accommodation.

XTRA COSTS - there were a few extra costs but we expected that - these included tipping (more on that later), cost for use of toilets, entry into some tombs & pyramids and a camel ride plus tip. TOUR SIZE - there were actually 4 groups travelling around with us in Egypt and this reduced to 3 in Jordan and then 2 groups by the time we got to Israel. The whole time we were in a group of 12 people, which was a great sized group, but that meant we were in a mini bus and it was a bit cramped at times, especially on moving location days as our baggage had to go on the back seats. Another group of 20 had a huge bus with plenty of spare seats. So it all came down to luck on size of group and size of bus! NILE CRUISE - was good and really enjoyed it. A lot of people did become unwell when on the boat, so one has to be very careful about what to eat i.e. do not eat food that has been washed in water and also use bottle water for cleaning teeth! The food was average and by day 4 tired of very similar food. TIPPING - Webjet Exclusives - you really need to sort this out!! We knew that we had to pay $US10 per person per day for tips as we read that on your website. This was not confirmed in our paperwork, but other travellers had this mentioned in their paperwork - one couple were told $US9 per person per day and another couple had listed $AU10 p.p. per day! There needs to be consistency. Also a lot of tour group members were not happy at all having to pay the tips up front (luckily our group all did pay) - and this caused a lot of problems. On the last morning of the Nile Cruise the ship at first refused to release the suitcases of one group as they had not paid the tips for the baggage handlers etc. and the tour guide did not have the funds to pay for the tips as hardly anyone had paid the tips up front. ALSO - on the days when we left Egypt to go to Jordan and also Jordan to Israel, we had to pay the $US10 pp twice, once in the departing country and then for the country we arrived in. This then ended up being $US40 per couple for one day, which is huge tipping!! Webjet Exclusives - really suggest you include tipping in the price and this would not cause all the confusion and problems during the tour. COMMUNICATION WITH WEBJET EXCLUSIVES - had no major problems - not a lot of communication after booking and I had to remind them to invoice us as final payment was due ... and then received a red final notice email! Also when trying to change our flight home, we gave up - we were told to ring different parts of the company and then no-one could understand what we were asking. Webjet need to change their customer service so that you can actually talk through any issues or changes without just getting the standard scripted replies. This also relates to Visa info - which is my next subject. VISA - Buying an Egypt visa upon arrival is so easy. No need to show your passport/s - just say how many you want and pay the $US25 each, very quick and easy - can also change currency at this desk. Jordan Visa - do not pre organise one!!!! - this is done by the local tour operator, free of charge as a Tourist Entry Visa. I did ask Webjet about this before leaving on our tour as I knew (from discussions with other travellers who had already been) that the visa would be organised for us - but Webjet did the standard script reply that it is our own responsibility to obtain our visa. One couple on our tour paid $AU850 for Egypt and Jordan visas via the link on the Webjet page ... they were not happy when they realised all we had to pay was the $US50 Egypt visa that we got upon arrival.

Disorganised and shocking communication
Booked and paid deposit of $1,000 for 13 day egypt tour with business class flight and $400 off if booked by certain time - which I did. Firstly, I was inundated with sales emails which had references to business class flights and believed this was their means of advising of the business class flights. Numerous emails and phone calls - which werent successful (I was on hold for over half hour & gave up) and, as I found out later - passed the deadline on paying for the tour and, more importantly, the business class flights - their real emails went to my Junk folder and, of course, their was no follow-up phone call to ensure I received them. I thought to myself if this was the standard of customer service and communication here in Australia what was it going to be like in Egypt and decided to cancel and request my $1000 deposit back. Was refused of course but was offered voucher which I thought would be suitable. However, learnt today it cannot be used on Webjet.com.au only the Exclusive side of the business which is very very disappointing as I had hoped to organise a domestic flight. Good bye $1000! Never again. Dont do business with this mob - their response to bookings is inaccurate setting you off on a whirlwind of frustration and their communication is horrendous2 comments

required to secure this quote. A further email was sent on the 06 December advising as payment for the business class was not made flights would be booked in economy class as the the original deal. After being advised you did not receive the quotes we did offer to provide you with a new quote for the business class seats.Yes. But what is Webjet Exclusives doing to improve their standards of operation, communications and services. I note I am not the only one complaining here about these aspects of the business

No one answers the phone. Trying to sort out a booking error.
Requested in the online booking to receive a quote to depart 2 days earlier as I had a business meeting in Singapore on the way to the Maldives. I had to wait over a week for this quote. The additional airline cost for this request was $600 per person whilst I could book the while flight sequence for under $1000. They gave me 2 days to notify them that I don't want the flight but they haven't replied to emails or answered phones. I emailed Webjet twice and was really worried after reading all the reports about the poor customer service and I hadnt heard anything further about the holiday we have paid a deposit for. Worst customer service ever encountered CEO should be ashamed
The deals sound and look enticing. Pay your non refundable deposit months if not a year or longer in advance. Over time, you have some reasonable questions to ask or you have concerns at the lack of information forthcoming. You ring or email, and then you start to experience the WONDER of dealing with Webjet Exclusives Customer/Operations Services staff. After initial payment, do not think you can talk to anyone based in their Melbourne HQ.

25 day Highlights of the Middle East tour with Nile Cruise
Departure on 2nd Nov 2022, starting in Egypt was a well organised and enjoyable trip. The booking process was less than perfect but the actual tour was well run. We had two very experienced and knowledgeable guides, Noha ElMasry in Egypt and Uriel Blau in Israel. Both were very pleasant and accommodating. CANNOT GET HOLD OF ANYONE AT WEBJET AND WE HAVE PAID FOR OUR TRIP - DISAPPOINTING SERVICE
I paid for a package in February this year. I have tried to contact you many times. I tried by phone 5 different times today and each time I am on hold and it never answers. Your supposed 24/7 contact is clearly untrue as it is now 11.13pm and I have again been on hold for 45 minutes and still no answer.

Poor customer service
I had to cancel my travel due to emergency surgery. I required paperwork from webjet for my travel insurance claim. A promised 48 hour turn around turned into one week. And when I received their insurance letter stating the travel was non-refundable it had the wrong year. I paid in 2018 they had 2022. The receipt they provided was only for the deposit and did not include the full cost of the travel which was all paid in 2018. I am now on the line waiting for them to get back to me so I can try and prioritise the receipt of correct documentation. I have been waiting for 1 hour and 20 minutes so far for them to pick up my call and talk to me about this issue.

I have fully paid (2 months ago) for an Egypt tour on January 17, 2020. So far no communication or information and impossible to contact them. The 1300 number doesn't work (no ring), and online chat just gives you script answers. Also very concerned now that I have a 31 day tour of Scandinavia also booked with deposit paid, with a request for 1 week early departure, and again no feedback or information provided, with more than $20K due for final payment soon. There is absolutely no-one to discuss anything with. Very disappointing, and we haven't even travelled yet!!!

Memorable & Action Packed Trip to Egypt
At first I was sceptical booking with Webjet, based on some of the reviews! However, most of the poor reviews were on customers trying to correct errors on their online applications and or varying the itinerary! After looking at Trip-a-deal, they disclosed significant costs to fix customer processing errors!
The deal was too good to let go, so we booked to go! We travelled in late September and early October 2022!

Crap service and not follow up
I recently booked a trip with Webjet exclusive....not without a whole raft of problems and poor customer service. I have emailed, Facebook messaged and completed reviews all seeking to discuss my complaint with staff and now, after more than 6 requests Im still waiting to be called. If you have ANY other options for trips go with them....Webjet exclusives leave a lot to be desired

Great spontaneous customer service follow up and rectification.
I booked a trip to Sunshine Coast via webjet. Inclusive of that booking were flights, accommodation, insurance and vehicle hire. I received a call from a Webjet representative, Carl, regarding the vehicle hire booking. Apparently the relevant car hire company was closing its doors. Webjet were onto it, contacted me and had already organised an alternative vehicle hire and insurance for my approval. Thanks team, on the ball. Cheers

Appalling customer service and experience
Absolutely the worst customer experience and support I have ever experienced in my 50 years of dealing with businesses. A big statement considering I've been an origin and telstra customer in the past. Appalling I will never do business with this company again. Do yourself a favour by doing the same. Left on phone for 2.5 hours after 3 emails where they refused to change my flight, although they could. Eventually they did for the airline fee 378, apologising the next day refunding a customer service fee $25 for poor service. Far to little far to late. Never again. Zero stars.

Switzerland absolutely amazing
We did the 14 day Grand Train Tour of Switzerland with Emirates Flights holiday. Every aspect of the tour was wonderful. The organisation of tickets and vouchers, the answering of questions and clarity of details was faultless. Prices were exactly as advertised. The Switzerland Travel Centre were brilliant. The fights with Emirates were terrific. The trains and accommodation in Switzerland were superb. Every train was on time, clean and comfortable. Every hotel was conveniently located, comfortable and all with wifi and breakfast. We received vouchers and tickets for free or discounted travel in every town. I almost forgot .... Switzerland was beautiful - full of friendly and helpful people - amazing sights and food. We had a ball !

14 day Sri Lanka tour in March 2022
Booked the above tour via Webjet Exclusives and everything went according to plan. Flew with Singapore Air without any problems. Would use Webjet again. The agent they used in Sri Lanka were excellent and the transport and accommodation were all very good.

I too booked a trip with Wedjet Exclusives in August for a departure in June for Japan 2020.Which Webjet handed over to Tomato Travel i never have heard of Tomato Travel.Webjet are the company who promoted the tour therefore it's up to Webjet to secure a full refund from Tomato Travel on our behalf.Have read a lot of bad reports about Webjet for not fully offering full refunds only gift cards.I will not be using Webjet again From John.C
I am with you John, will never ever use webjet again. Tomato Travel have turned their phones off, not answering emails either. We customers should take this further, perhaps class action like what people are doing with Flight Centre.
Just want to let you all know. I put in a refund request through PayPal, and have just been informed I'm getting all my deposit back after webjet wouldn't give me a cent. Place a request in through PayPal and see how you go
