I booked this company to deliver 2 boxes asap, was told 2 working days brisbane to ballina (2hrs away). Booked them because that could do so in 2days. Picked up 17 oct still no delivery today 25 oct. Emailed got a weak excuse & that i needed to clarify the address which is posted on both boxes along with my mob. #. And also on email. First they picked up the boxes 3 days late, then they promised us they would be delivered by a certain date as compensation for the late pick up, this also did not happen Because of this we had to change the delivery address, I spoke to them 3 times on the phone to make sure that my goods were going to be delivered to the new address. Sent a new item that was boxed and i measured it correctly it cost $97 few days later i receive an email saying the measurements were incorrect (10cm difference) and i have been charged $44, i double checked the item and my measurements were accurate they should not have indicated otherwise. Furthermore when i quote for the item to the same place using their reported weight and measurements there is only a $7 difference so where did the $44 come from? I had a 140 hp outboard shipped from Melbourne to Brisbane, I got the cheapest quote from these guys and I am very happy with the service. The item was said to take up to 7 days instead taking 3 in total, I was expecting from the quote to be paying a depot to depot price and was pleasantly surprised with a door to door price. The quoting system online I do not think was terribly accurate though so they may need to fix that up but I ended up getting the service for the cheaper quoted price with no arguments or derogatory comments any way. My partner purchased some vintage chairs for our wedding from QLD. We reside in NSW so i needed to arrange a courier. I called BHF up and they sorted me out with everything. They were able to arrange for a pick up of a heavy and unusual item with minimal packing requirements. The service over the phone was great and they gave me all the information i needed. I rang up BHF to get a tonne of coconut oil delivered to Bondi Juction, they delivered to the wrong address, after I specified not to deliver to that address due to legal probs, I rang them up to get a remedy, their manager said why dont you just go get it, it only 2 doors down, I said it was under a legal challenge and you delivered 1 tonne of coconut to the wrong address, this is your fault,

I have used bhf multiple times over about the last year. We have had our good times and bad. But its freight and you cant expect too much. I have dealt with many other companies through different jobs and privately over the past few years and Bhf is pretty standard when it comes to freight. Transit times are standard, prices are reasonable for medium and larger items, they cant compete with the likes of australia post when it comes to small items(although have you ever had to deal with auspost customer service? My item was never delivered because it was destroyed in transit in mid November 2012.
I had to go to a third party depot myself to track it down and find out what had happened.

Despite numerous telephone conversations and exchanges of emails with the booking section and assurances that the matter has been looked into, I have to date not been contacted at all in regards to any resolution or even to discuss the matter.
