Best kettle I’ve ever owned.
This is definitely the best kettle I’ve ever owned. The pouring spout is perfect, never spills a drop, it doesn’t leak when boiling, and the water tastes great.
It wasn’t cheap, but definitely worth the extra money, plus it looks great in my kitchen (I got the dark blue), doesn’t even show finger marks like most other kettles do. Highly recommend!!

stops working
it must be 1-2 years out of warrenty but it keeps stopping working, i'm a bit worried it might be dangourous. Not very good as I paid to get a good product and only lasted a few years. Not impressed with China produced goods. Update : having said this review, we have gone and purcchased another delonghi this weekend, for hte price, functionality and look, we think it is good value even if it fails after 4-5 years. Probably no different to any other brand these days.

Quality kettle
A quality product with a stylish look and great colour. Works well and gives that extra look to our kitchen.Just bought another kettle along with the matching toaster as backup, incase DeLonghi changes the design. Love the look.
November 14th 2022 Update: Great design
Had this kettle for three years now and have just bought a back up one as Delonghi seem to be changing there design and I wanted to keep the look in our kitchen.
The quality is top notch and this little work horse never misses a beat.
Good quality finish as well.
Would definitely recommend.

BEST KETTLE!
I have had this kettle for near 6 years and absolutely love it. I love the look of it, I have lived in several places since owing it and it has looked great in every kitchen. It gets used daily and sometimes several times per day and is still as good now as it was new. The only thing I am disappointed about is that the Beige colour has now been discontinued so I cant buy a back up for when this one eventually stops- hopefully that isn't sometime soon. Will definitely be looking at another DeLonghi when the time comes.

lasts..
This kettle has lasted me 4 years!!! And I have tea around 3 times a day. Very impressed with it, except only recently it has started to leak when I tip it to pour water into my mug. Otherwise.. i think it lasted pretty well for a kettle that gets used so much.

Looks good. Bought from Myers.
Water tastes fine, level hard to see. Speed of boiling okay. Colour very nice. Downhill from here. Lid is very tinny and ill fitting. The worst fault is how quickly the inside base discolours. Every couple of days I boil a couple of cut lemons in it to remove the stains. Even this doesn't work 100% each time. My old cheap red Kmart kettle leaves this expensive one for dead. Glad I didn't throw it out!

Don't judge toaster and kettle by its cover!!
I have always admired De Longhi products but they were a little out of my price range. Last year one of the major supermarkets offered a De Longhi package deal which I could afford. Well, I was really impressed with their beautiful pastel colours instead of traditional silver or black and I thought how well the pale blue toaster and kettle would look in my kitchen, so I bought them on the spot!
Here's the judging by cover part; I have always thought that De Longhi was a good brand, unfortunately, the products I purchased quickly turned to disa...Read more
ppointment! The kettle spout is too narrow to allow a stream of water to fill up the kettle. I started to use this way to fill the kettle after the lid kept falling into my cup! The lid requires a resounding bang for it stay on. The 4 slice toaster though is the big disappointment; there are 6 browning settings on the toaster and turning the somewhat tinny knob to 4.5 setting it will still only toast one side and barely the other; I don't know how many times I have to toast the bread twice to get a decent colour. I have had a $10 jug in the past, the same with a toaster, and, even though they were as cheap as chips, I had more bang for my buck as the expression goes!Purchased for $130.00.

Looks nice but noisy
Love the look of this kettle!! The lid is a little hard to remove when filling and the water level feature is hiding under the handle which makes it a little hard to see. The element is hidden but it is noisy when boiling. But it looks smart with its glossy finish.

Worth the wait...
The kettle is wonderful, I am highly satisfied with taste of water, time it takes to boil, the water level is something I had to get use too. But easy once I retrained myself.
The kettle can get hot, but like anything its just the product doing its job.
I waited and got a bargain not only in price but the quality of the product lives up to the what you would believe it to be.

Slow but reliable
Reliable, stylish and easy to use. I bought the red and the colour is great, I also bought matching toaster.
It doesn't taint the water, scale doesn't build up and it works fine with tank water.
Lost a star as it takes quite a while to boil. Linger than my previous cheapo supermarket brand, but apart from that I am happy.
It certainly looks nice on the bench!

A nice kettle
The kettle I purchased was lovely to look at, the water books quite quickly when full and has a great water level indicator. It’s a stylish, simple design which would match many styles of homes.
I was disappointed with the chrome that is on the lid and around the base of the kettle as it peeled and chipped off soon after purchase. This was a real negative as I paid for a great product which it wasn’t in the end.

Stylish but needs a few design issues fixed
Purchased about 3 weeks ago from The Good Guys in silver with the matching 4 slice toaster (look up my toaster review) & so far it’s still working yay! After comparing so many average kettles on the market this seemed to be the best out of the bunch despite price. After using it we are finding the base is frustrating to manage. It’s so thin & light that the cord won’t stay locked into the cut out groove. We have to duct tape it in. The handle is slippery & dangerous due to a smooth high gloss finish open ended design with no grip. Perhaps next ...Read more
model should consider safety of the handle design. The water indicator is opaque making it difficult to read at times & the internal mesh filter is a bit tricky to remove & clean. If only it came with a flip lid and heavier base that locks the cord in place it would be perfect otherwise. Apart from the above we like the size, the colour range, the vintage style and the pouring spout is very good with not one drip.Purchased in June 2021 at The Good Guys Physical store.

No complaints
Kettle and toaster were bought secondhand from a friend moving abroad. Both are used several times a day and the kettle in particular has heavy use. No rust, no spills, pours beautifully and is perfectly weighted. Cannot see what all the fuss is about as we really love ours.

Faulty. The worst customer service. Zero stars.
We usually love De Longhi products. Have always bought them with no issues. Until we bought the de longhi black icona kettle.
From day one it has been a hazard: splatters everywhere! Once the water has boiled. We’ve burned our hands, our two year old and made a mess after every pour.
I went to return the kettle, within warranty time, at the Harvey Norman it was purchased at however, even with proof of our purchase they did not return or replace our product because they couldn’t see the fault we took video evidence of.
We have also tried to...Read more
contact the ‘customer service’ and complaints for de longhi with zero resolution. The woman we spoke to on the phone was incredible rude and defensive. The behaviour was unbelievable. Our next step is going through consumer affairs out of principle. We will never buy de longhi products again because this entire replacement process has been one huge stress and headache.Purchased in April 2021 at Harvey Norman for $89.00.

Thought I was buying a high end kettle, it stopped working
I purchased the Delonghi matching kettle and toaster as I thought they would look good in my new kitchen, they were expensive and very modern in design - the truth is that they work exactly the same as any ordinary kettle and toaster but they "did look good". I've had them for just over two years and the kettle on/off button has stopped working, I really expected a lot better than this, I've just found my very basic kettle as I really felt like a cup of tea and voila, the very daggy, basic kettle works just fine. In my very humble opinion - t...Read more
he Delonghi kettle looks nice but doesnt work anymore - it cost me more than $100, my $12 kettle which is much older, it's no where near as pretty but it still boils water, I have my cup of tea, my $100 would have been better spent on something else. I have nothing kind to say about my Delonghi kettle except Oh, it looks nice!Purchased in October 2021.

Expensive kettle and water gauge is next to useless
When filling kettle the gauge is almost useless - a simple bead floating on the water would solve the problem
When the kettle is on the bench it is almost impossible to tell if it has sufficient water to turn it on

Not a safe product. Outer shell gets very hot.
Outside gets very hot despite doble “insulared” shells! Cannot clearly see level of water. I got burnt touching the outer shell. We bought matching RED toaster.
Look good but that’s all about

Pretty but rusting from 6 months on
The kettle spout rusted at its base and the brown peeled around the lid from 6 months onwards. I have continued to use it (18 months) and it leaks water everywhere when I fill a pot. Also there is often a significant pool of water at the base following boiling. Need to chuck it as it’s unsafe. Will go back to trusty Russell Hobbs - in my experience their kettles lasted 5+ years. I change the filter, descale etc so it’s not misuse/abuse just poor design and workmanship.

Bad Buy
Very heavy even when empty
very noisy
almost impossible to see water leveler which is hidden behind the handle; cannot understand the logic behind it if there is any
lid gets hot and must be careful when pulling it off
Would not recommend it to anyone and specially not elderly people
The more expensive model does not seem any better
Checking with retailer if I can return it

Our pearl white DeLonghi kettle has had coffee spilt on it and it has stained the outside of the kettle. We have tried regular detergent but it doesn’t budge. We are scared to try anything harsher without advice. Any tips?
1 answer
I’d try a paste made from bi carb and lemon juice. Add to stain, rub in gently and leave for an hour or so

Why did my kettle just stop working, it's 18 months old. Is it old age
1 answer
Mine worked for nearly 9 years without issue and now dead. it should work longer than 18 months, could be faulty or some parts DOA.
Helen Aasked
Is the kettle noisy? I currently have a Bosch kettle and it's really noisy any advise?
1 answer
My Delonghi kettle is not noisy and the bottom part doesn’t get hot only towards the spout as I have to be careful of my special needs children as they like to try and touch hot things. Try the Delonghi as I have in my photo. Good luck

If your wondering on the low cost, I was lucky enough to pick up the kettle as they were getting rid of old stock to refurbish the store.
