We moved in to our home sweet home last week. We were expecting our handover in mid April, but quite surprised Eden considered our request for an early handover and did it a month earlier than it was initially planned. Not many builders out there can show such care towards their customers.

Our house was handed over on the 28th February 2020; exactly on schedule. The final inspection found that all minor issues found during the Practical Completion inspection completed. After the inspection we went to Eden Brae office where Joanne took us through the final lot of documentation, warranties and explained the App that we will be using to report any issues, if any, over the next 3 months. Built quality, Very poor & substandard in so many areas. Garage got quite big cracks even before handover & they aren’t ready to rectify it despite so many requests. Plumbing is par below standard. Hot water pipe burst inside the ceiling & maintenance manager said it happened due to rain. Front entry door misaligned by quite a significant margin, again they said it’s ok. We had an OK experience throughout pre construction but unfortunately the end product just wasn't up to standard

The sales team were attentive and helpful but I would say to be mindful as the Provisional Allowances on the initial sales tender were well below the actual cost once you go to your colours appointment.

We are finalising all PCVs before the build can start. My main grievance is the quote we received far exceeds the provisional allowance we put in. We put in the provisional allowance under the guidance of their sales rep, and we told her exactly what we wanted. A couple of examples, we told her we wanted wide engineered timber floor boards throughout except wet areas, and she told us $12k should cover the upgrade.
