FC with there massive profits.
Telling you your flights, holiday cancelled. Refund on the way.
BANG massive fees.
Waiting waiting for refunds.
This is not new this grubby company has been doing this for years.
Don't hold your breath on the government doing anything.

This malevolent company is profiteering off everyday Australians whom unbeknownst to them have had their travel plans cancelled as a result of Covid-19. Hopefully the ACCC / federal government serves them some justice soon.

Dont mind paying a fee based on reasonable cost but...............

It has taken 12 days to get a response from their "complaint" area about cancellation fees of $300 x2 on a booking worth $2800. They will not reduce these fees. It will also take 12 weeks to obtain a full refund. They have offered a voucher for use by 12/2021, if we do not use we then get a full refund with no fees. That is if they are still in business ! Never use this company again !

Disgusting cancellation fees

Being charged $300 per ticket cancellation fees because the the flight has been cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This is disgusting that they believe the service they provide is worth that much!! Everyone is experiencing financial hardship in this difficult time, on top of not being able to go on a holiday that was booked 8 months ago we lose even more money to these unethical thieves.

Due to the pandemic our flights were cancelled. We booked online through flight centre and bought insurance as well. Flights were cancelled and for some reason they think it's ok to charge 2 cancellation fees on one booking. I will never use flight centre again.

Similar Negative Experience With Refunds

Booked a ski trip and spent nearly 10k, this company only refunding around 6k of it (cancellation fees) even though the trip is months away. We didn't create coronavirus, it is out of everybody's control. No excuse for this unethical behaviour! If this is how they look after everyday Aussies I can't see why they deserve our support and to stay in business. Thumbs down!

Is Flight Centre listening? If so they should respond to each of these reviews.

Very disappointed Flight Centre Australia for charging us $300 per person for a flight we never cancelled. We are 2 people so the new policy disadvantages us regardless.

Flight Centre - We will never use any of your brands and will suggest to our extensive network of contacts that they boycott Flight Centre and its subsidiaries.

Keep digging your hole so you can be sure to bury the company well below the sewer lines.

Charging way too much for processing a refund from airlines due to airlines cancelling flights re Covid 19.

$300 for very little work, when times are tough for everyone.

Flight Centre wanting to charge $1,200 in cancellation fees for a spend of $2,086 on Disney tickets. A quick and simple booking. Disney tickets were non refundable yet Disney have done the right thing by their customers and refunded the full amount. Flight Centre have now revised their fee to $600 still not acceptable. Totally disgusting taking advantage of customers during this time. If I could give it no stars I would.

We have not seen one cent of our $13 000 refund and we have been told by flight centre that we will have to wait as we are in a queue. What queue that is when thousands apparently haven’t received a refund months later. Travel agent rude and avoids the many valid questions asked. We just want our refund and not the excessive cancellation fees. Will never use Flight Centre again. Book directly and a full refund is given quickly as with Booking.com and for air flights. If these organisations can be successful, why is Flight centre so incredibly slow and inefficient and hold funds that belong to so many of its victims! We will continue to lobby federal members, ACCC, VCAT until we receive OUR refund.

Booked a holiday to Thailand on Thai air---Thai Air cancelled our flights and returned all our money to Flight Centre--and they are deducting $600 cancellation fees and won't be giving me a refund for 12 weeks---you are horrible people for taking advantage of your customers in this trying time--how do you sleep at night or live with yourselves

charged me a $1100 cancellaton fee when the airline cancelled the flights and said its 12 weeks to get my partial refund. read your terms and conditions, they charge you a cancellation fee with either yuo or one of their supplies such as the airline or hotel cancels. evil company, stay away!

Airlines cancelled our flights . Now flight centre want 12 weeks and $600 dollars to process our refund. What !!!!!. Thanks for the memories. When the world return to its formal self I won't be considering FC ever again.

Disgusted with Flight Centre, lining their pockets with $300 per person for flights cancelled by airlines, not cancelled by customers, using their cancellation policy as justification. The costs that they would have incurred would be minimal and yet they are causing upset and financial strain on families already stressed.
They are also taking weeks to refund monies to people, holding on to thousands of $ without good reason. Would give zero * if possible

Ripping off customers

Refusing to refund after holidays cancelled due to Covid-19, though they have received money from suppliers. Emails I receive have had different charges and excuses every time. I did not cancel my trip but along with thousands of others we have not received any refunds. I also had Premium Cover More insurance, recommended by FC that is worthless. It is also disgusting that we are being advise a 12 week wait with cancelation fee’s at $300 pp. I would never use this company again. Ps, did not give any rating, you had to hit star to post reveiw

I had to cancel my Italy holiday (departure August 2020) and was very professionally assisted by a FC team member in Perth Office. He obtained guarantees for refunds from Qatar return airfares and my 3 Italy tours.
He then handed over my case file to
FC Garden City, Booragoon, WA where I had originally booked. On 2nd June I went to FC Garden City and signed a form with details of my new Bank Account into which the refund will be paid. I was told it will take 2 weeks to process and get in my Bank Account.
Can someone at FC Centralised Refunds Team reply to let me know how long it will be after lodging my Bank details on 2nd June please? Margaret B.

I cannot help you. My claim was very small was a part of a holiday that we took and returned to Adelaide the day before the borders closed. It is the attitude of the staff at my local Flight Centre in following my claim through that I appreciate. They are all struggling yet their courteous and professional attitude did not waver

We have also had pleasant service from the staff at Doncaster Shoppingtown store. However, the firm’s policy of delaying refunds places their staff in an awful position. I feel sorry for individual staff members who bear the brunt of refusing refunds and who have to cope with client’s disappointment . Despite having had excellent service from staff, we will never deal with FC again due to management policies.

If you call customer service, you get a recorded message telling you that they won’t discuss refunds. So, while they hide behind a recorded message, staff in their agencies are left to refuse refunds and cop any abuse.NOT. IMPRESSIVE !

The only way to get answer on a firm date of refund is to get on a current affair and shame them. It would great to the money back after cancelling 3 months ago, it may even be acceptable to get a firm date. My other idea would be to say I have only a few weeks to live and I need the money to pay for my funeral. However, luckily this not true. Second thoughts this mob would not care if it was true all they are interested is keeping our money for long as possible with lame excuses.

I am very disappointed with their attitude. The hotels which we booked have refunded, in full, our payments. Unfortunately, this money was sent to our booking agent, Flight Centre who were entrusted with the task of forwarding it to us. Up to a six month delay! I am now an ex client!

Did you see Miriam Margolyes program on Tuesday night? Comforting to see the luxurious accommodation of Flight Centre owners. Meantime, we, their unfortunate customers wait for refunds !
