Ordered a sofa from FocusOn furniture in Mile End having been explicitly clear at the time of purchase that the sofa was required before a certain date (over a month in advance). I was told that it would be no issue and would arrive well ahead of time. This promise was even specified on the tax invoice I was provided with.

Having rang them two weeks before the due date, I was told the sofa was still in Melbourne. I rang back 4 days before the due date and the sofa was still in a container in Melbourne and hadn't moved! Needless to say we won't be getting our sofa on time.

Such a disappointing experience and so incredibly frustrating. What makes it worse is the unapologetic attitude of their staff each time I called up.

Purchased the Hampton range for a guest living room. 3 months later the cushions had completely lost their shape and the piping around the edges was all uneven because of this. I was sent more cushions (with warning from the manager it would just happen again) waited 4 months to get them and 2 weeks later I have sat on the couches twice and it’s started happening again. I am told there’s nothing I can do and the regional manager can tell from the photos the reason the cushion covers are slipping is because I sit on the middle the most. Yes I sit on my couch that’s it’s purpose ...not nearly enough for them to be losing shape in 2 weeks... Spend your money elsewhere the after sales service is terrible.

I was satisfied with the pricing and range of products, however when the goods were delivered the dining suite was a vastly different match to the table even though its the same range and the store example looked great. A chair was wonky, the buffet doors and not lined up and the bed rail is MDF and the laminate has come free just weeks later. One assessment done and no promises to rectify all issues. Waiting on another call back...

We needed to add to an earlier purchase and the staff were so helpful and we were able to get exactly what we needed. Fantastic will go back and highly recommend.

Store presented well and was easy to get around. Plenty of options available for my needs.

I have purchased furniture from focus on furniture before and have always been extremely pleased with the product and the service. The two chairs I purchased recently had to be delivered to a transport depot so they could be transported to my beach house. I have been extremely pleased (again) with the product but this time the person who served me made such a hash of the delivery notes that my chairs ended up in another part of the state. Fortunately this depot phoned and they were returned to their city depot and I eventually got them to my place on the west coast. All good in the end and prior to this I have always had excellent sales people. I really like the prices and styles that focus on furniture have.

Base of seat has no holes drilled into it, so you couldn’t easily screw in the chair legs. Holes had to be manually drilled. I would have thought that a furniture manufacturer would sell the product with this step already undertaken. Pleased with end product though.

Great customer service and product knowledge. Awesome product and price. Arrived on time and when promised. This is the place to go for furniture.

I was needing furniture as I was moving out of home. This was the first store I entered and loved what I saw. After going in and out of all the furniture stores in the shopping complex, Focus is the store I kept coming back to. Their variety, quality, reasonable prices, and excellent customer service made this purchase an easy decision. Highly recommend!

Bought two, three seater lounges and had problems with both.The one had to have someone to adjust a leg and the other I had to wait 3 weeks before it was replaced because of a fault, No happy with the product but service was great.

Very happy with our bed, great quality and easy to assemble. The only reason why we didn’t rate it 5 stars was because we had to wait 6 weeks as it wasn’t in stock at the time of purchase

Given a 4-5 week timeframe due to no stock on hand, when i followed up i was given the stock standard run around it has been delivered to Sydney - Melbourne etc we will check what stock is available etc delivery was 9 weeks...

Very good products. Good customer service at the Mile End store.
Downside was the substantial cardboard and packaging was not removed.

Like that they offer to put together bed on delivery. Happy with the products!! Will purchase from again in the future!!

We bought a 7-piece dining suite in August. We paid for the assembly and delivery option. The product was not delivered until late October, far later than the original date we were given of mid-September. The delivery drivers were friendly and put the products together quickly, and the product overall is a beautifully finished piece of furniture. Would still buy from Focus again, but would definitely check the delivery timeframes.

Very satisfied from customer Service, delivery and quality of the couch which is very comfortable. Deliver was on time and installation was properly done.
