Appalling
Still awaiting delivery. Freedom currently have no method of direct contact. The only way you can get their attention is via Facebook or Product Review. I was told someone would be in contact within the next couple of days. I just looked at the invoice and note they have recorded my contact number as incorrect. And there is no way of contacting them to rectify this. Freedom Furniture would be the single worst business I have ever dealt with. They have taken the money and failed to deliver the product. How does that work? So I am left without furniture to sit on. I am not alone. Look at the thousands of angry Freedom customers. Next stop ACCC.

Promised delivery dates
I ordered some furniture (3 items) 1 week ago and 2 of the items were in stock and the web site delivery date was 7 days. I have logged on each day and the date of delivery changes each day. Yesterday was 19 weeks, today 6 weeks.

Ordered couch 3 weeks ago, I have heard nothing and can contact no one.
We ordered a $2500+ couch 3 weeks ago. We were moving into our first apartment and ordered a range of other furniture (no issue with their delivery, service centre or communication). However, from Freedom, we received one email saying we would be contacted and the order just says "processing". We are in the apartment now with no couch. We can't email as it all goes to the stores that are closed (because of COVID), can't call as all support services are closed and only play a recorded message. Defective service and product
I have been trying to discuss my sofa warranty with freedom with an inability to reach any customer assistance to resolve a defect .
You can't talk to any customer assistance from Freedom during the covid-19 outbreak but you can still buy things. Call centres and customer assistance can occur remotely but deliveries can't. Transmitting the virus can occur during deliveries. Deliveries will increase traffic at virus hotpots like service stations. HOWEVER, having customer assistance staff chat to customers on the phone from home? No virus risk.
Freedom are advertising the response as health driven but it clearly isn't. Defective product and service. I sympathise with all of the sacked customer assistance staff.

Would Rate Zero Stars if Possible
Hi, I am waiting on a refund that was processed on 18th March 2020, the money has still not been received and I have been out of pocket now since the 29th January 2020. The item I ordered was NOT delivered and apparently "Discontinued" but I didn't receive a call or offered a refund until I called to chase up delivery! I was informed it would be 3-5 days to refund! Still waiting 3 weeks later. Order number was 9007770246780, the refund was processed by ...... from the Castle Hill store on Wednesday 18th March 2020.

Online Order not Fulfilled
We ordered a trestle desk at the beginning of December 2022. We were told it would be a 3-5 weeks delivery time, which we were willing to accept. The desk was delivered after roughly 4 weeks but upon delivery we noticed that the actual product was damaged in the packaging. It has now been over 18 weeks since we placed our order and we have not received the product we ordered. It is impossible to contact Freedom, and they are unwilling to provide any assistance to resolve the situation. We are now in the process of beginning bringing a claim against Freedom in VCAT. The service we have received has been appalling, and it is clear that there are many others who are in the same situation as us. They are happy to take your money but unwilling to provide the goods. Would not recommend anyone order from them as you are unlikely to ever receive your items.1 comment

Terrible!! Non existent customer support
Ordered an outdoor furniture set in December with a expected delivery of 8 weeks. It’s not mid April and still no sign of anything from Freedom. I’ve been on online chat and someone was chasing it up for me and would contact me.... nothing. I’ve emailed to be sent a stock standard reply that someone would get back to my enquiry in 10 days... 10 days has been and gone. Contacted them via Facebook messenger and still radio silence.
My order still shows as ‘processing’ which to mean seems it hasn’t even be ordered! You must keep in mind that this happened well before COVID-19 so no excuse and definitely no excuse for the lack of customer care.
I will never order from FREEDOM again.

Horrible service worst customer service and replying
No satisfying at all service honestly the worst my family has ever seen at this stage I want to cancel my order which is over three grand because of the no replying and miss communication between four staff members I’ve had to deal with all I wanted to do was pick my order up nothing difficult but your company cannot do that it’s pathetic

Appalling and unethical service

Later that day I checked the stock online, and a 7 week delivery time was detailed for this particular sofa. I called the store again, told them I am not waiting until June. They once again promised me that the delivery would be made in two weeks. Well guess what.. it’s now been three weeks. What an absolute sham. I saved up for months to purchase this sofa. I’ve just moved house, and have nothing to sit on- which is great, given the amount of time I now have to spend at home. uite rude and didnt want to assist us with an Online order as it was not purchased through his store, anyway, I sent in two contact forms on the 12/3 and 13/3 which were NOT responded to. So, I then called their so called 'Help Line' and yes there was a nice person at the end of the phone, however that person was just a receptionist who could not give me ANY details and just send and internal email to the SAME email address that I was writing to. ????? The worst customer service I have ever experienced
In a previous job, I ran a large online retailer. If I heard one of my customers had experienced what I have with Freedom, heads would have rolled. We ordered a 'Park Avenue Bar Cabinet' 6 weeks ago. There was no indication of delivery times, but we just noticed they are now saying 4 week delivery...we are well past that with may order in limbo. 5 phone calls to their customer service with the same response "we can't see your order number and we need to send an email to the online division to respond to you". s been 2 weeks since I started calling. In the last 2 calls I asked to speak to a manager to discuss (even a refund would be good). Their latest trick is to leave you hanging on hold while they track down a manager. You never get answered again and have to call back (I am sitting on hold while I type this....40 mins). Be warned...I think Freedom Furniture are going to be the next big retailer going broke and you will lose your deposits and money (I have paid the full $1374 and I am furious!). They seem to be saying they are experiencing difficulties with their new IT systems...really? That excuse was around last year now that I start researching this problem.6 comments

Something fishy is going down.
We made 2 separate orders (so we could get one on after pay and then paid full price for the other which was $2500). The afterpay order came when it was estimated to, great quality, really happy with the cabinet. BUT the couch and coffee table was meant to come three weeks ago, rang up today and they pretty much said: "yeah you're not going to get until June, do you still want it." fortunately, six months is too long of a time to be sitting on the floor. Most frustrated at that we picked all 3 pieces together because they all matched perfectly, and now are going to have to struggle to find what we want. It's a real shame because freedom has beautiful furniture but something is definitely going on internally for a delivery to take 4 months longer than it's meant to, possibly going bankrupt? I see they keep telling everyone that it is because of "major technological issue" but I've never seen a company deal with same issue for months and have not resolved it. Took my payment now uncontactable.
I made an order online as advised to do by staff in the Artarmon store. Delivery time at purchase was 2 weeks. It has been over 6 weeks and multiple messages have gone unanswered. Nobody answers the phone at Artarmon. Freedom where is my purchase? I would never have purchased this item with a 6 week delivery time.

A complete shambles and appalling customer service.
I ordered an outdoor 4pce furniture package online... it is now 5-6 weeks overdue and I can’t get a straight answer as to when I can expect it to turn up, if at all. Terrible service..
I ordered a $3000 sofa and a bed in January.. under the premise that it would be no longer than 2 weeks (it was clearly stated that it was in stock). It’s now been 5 weeks snd I’ve had no update. Every attempt to speak to someone has been futile- no email replies, no one calling me back and any in store retail staff telling me they have no way of contacting delivery or head office.. huh?! I’m about to cancel my order, as the reason I bought this furniture was because of the the apparent quick turn around. Regardless of “technical issues”... don’t advertise a service if you can’t deliver. Won’t be buying from Freedom again.
