Harbour ISP needs improvement
We have a property with FTTP and have purchased the LBN premium plan (100Mbps.) during peak periods we receive typical download speeds of 91 Mbps. The last few days however, we were lucky to break 10Mbps, so we called Harbour isp’s customer support for a resolution. While the lady we spoke to was very helpful, it did not do anything in the way of resolving our issue. She conducted speed and ping response tests, as well as adjusting channel assignments in our router settings but this did not increase the speed back to our typical evening speed. ...Read more
Consequently, we were told that our peak connection was typical (which it wasn’t.) while I don’t blame customer service at all for trying, I do blame Harbour isp for their poor infrastructure. Several times we’ve had this issue now, and not once have they resolved the issue for us. We are responsible for measuring our speed and calling about poor performance when really, this should be the responsibility of harbour isp, who are PAID to maintain speeds across their network. Especially considering the cost of the premium plan, this needs to be a massive point for harbour isp to improve upon. Using the internet shouldn’t be a hassle - however Harbour isp makes it one when their plans are not up to scratch, particularly in BRAND NEW LBN wired premises.

Wonderful Customer Service Once Again
Following up from my previous review, I just wanted to say that the entire experience from choosing a plan, signing up and getting the internet up and running at home all happened in a matter of hours. On a Saturday. Tech support has answered my calls almost every time I call through. This time, I spoke to Justine who was incredibly patient in walking me through the set up process even though it took a while for things to load and fall into place. I appreciate feeling supported during this time especially for something internet-related that can be incredibly frustrating if instructions are not clear (it was!). Thank you once again Harbour ISP, I look forward to using your service :-)

Terrible download speed
This is the first day we have being connected with harbour isp. We are not off to a great start. Evening Internet speed was 19.6 we are on their top plan and evening speed was meant to be 82. Not even close. Over an hour wasted on the phone and no resolution. Not sure what to do now. They did seem to know why. It got up to 45 while on the phone to them but now it’s as low as 6! You can’t have more than one device connected at once even though we should be able to. It’s struggling to even load emails. They can’t expect us to have two years of this??? This is not what was advertised or what we paid for.

Good average internet support.
The service l receive experiences some buffering and can be sluggish at times. Recently required tech support which was satisfactory considering staff working from home. When placed in the queue for support l received no updates as to the status of my call.

Online chatting was very helpful while filling my fibre application. Glenda was very interested, and to the point. Still cannot comment on the internet quality, as it has not activated yet

They're good until they're not.
They're a simple ISP, easy to use but if you're a more technical person you might have problems. I haven't had many issues while with them but here are the issues I have had with them, thus earning them a 2/5.
- Took them 5 weeks to connect my service due to the fibre distributor screwing up the NTU. Their service desk failed to meet agreed SLAs, acted dumb with me when I asked them what their SLA on escalations were.
- Their sales department fell far below my expectations when apparently my 5 week connection time qualified as my "1 free month ...Read more

Sales Consultant on the chat seems uninterested
I wanted to change my current broadband provider so I contact Harbour ISP via chat with their sales consultant. The person seems uninterested with my questions, and did not go further to try and sell me their plan. The feeling I received after the chat is like "take it or leave it - I don't care" kind of attitude. Either Harbour ISP did not pay their staffs well or their customer service culture is all this bad and unmonitored.

Opticomm good speeds and service
Just moved into an Opticomm Estate in QLD. Have done a few speed tests and results are pretty consistent. I am on the standard plus plan and I am seeing average 46-48 download and 20-21 upload.

Fibre speed too slow
My connection is very reliable but slow. I upgraded to 100/40 but the speed was still slow.
Called Beberly in support to assist. Now my speeds are over 100/40 thank you.

Small company, giving a shot
Sign up period was good and easy.
They offered free postage but failed to apply to bill and had to ring to rectify. There phone wait times are minimum which is a bonus coming from telstra.
Only issue is the router I was supplied say range 50m but I have trouble get internet at the opposite side of the house which is less then 50m.
Will ring to discuss issue hopefully they can help rectify
