Great Customer Service

published

Love that we can call them any time. Usually the wait isn’t too long, they always sort out my issue as best they can. Even when I missed payments because of COVID-19. I’ve called when my internet is down and usually they get it back up immediately

won’t refund you when they cannot connect your NBN.

published

They promise a service and can not deliver but then keep your money. After hours on the phone following their instructions while they try and get you to do their work setting it up and cannot get a connection, they still were say they won’t refund. Hours wasted and money paid and no internet connection. They won’t refund me even though they cannot connect to Nbn as promised. They told me 30 mins but an hour on the phone to then each day with no results.
Phone service is poor and once they have your sale it’s a very different experience

If there is a better plan that I should be on often I get a msg saying the same. No tricks. No dropouts. No reason to call them unless I want another service.

I have only been connected to NBN for a few days. Download speed is fast compared to previous ADSL2. Upload mostly really good, as in email upload but on one evening, it took 7 hours from the time my email went into the Outbox before it was finally SENT.

NBN netphone can't make international call

published

My NBN netphone cannot make international phone call more than a week now. I have forwarded four emails, made four phone calls (each call waited for a hour) and spoken with different technicians but no answer, some said Telstra's issue and all promised to update my problem but they closed all tasks at my iinet Toolbox with NO solution and I still CANNOT make international calls by using iinet NBN netphone. Extremely terrible and poor technical and customer services.

My NBN 50 with Fetch

published

Having been with iinet/netspace for more than 10 years is my best recommendation of what I think of their product and the service. Two years ago I started using Fetch to give an old TV a new lease on life. On this TV I now have wifi connection through Fetch so I can now receive all the freeview channel's as well as 30 free movies a month along with streaming services like Netflix etc

Terrible customer service and terrible connection

published

Our connection always dropped out (location is North Perth), further to this the call center is very rude and I have been hung up on on multiple occasions. Iinet have a refund of $54.99 owing to be and said it was refunded two weeks ago however it isn't in any of my accounts and I get no where with them on the phone or over email as they don't know what is going on. I wouldn't recommend.

Its adequate

Dont have dropouts occasional buffering
Generally adequate but not any noticeable difference to adsl
It could be because it is fibre to node connection.
Shouldn't sell NBN 50 if the connection wont support the product

NBN overated for my use

published

Have had iinet ADSL2 for many years and it worked great - only used for web searches and occasional youtube viewings, no games. NBN was not an improvement for me, however, now I have incorporated a smart tv into the fold, I am able to take advantage of the faster speeds by downloading videos. Had two days recently where there was intermittent problems but iinet forwarded sms messages advising of the situation so no great drama. Overall, am extremely pleased with the service iinet provide.

Having had NBN broadband for over 2 years I can honestly say that I have never suffered a loss of service during this time and regularly achieve between 47-48mbs. Twice in this period have had a short interruption to my email service but other than that I am totally satisfied with the iinet service, having been a customer in total for 14 years.

NBN provisioning is a nightmare

published

NBN Internet Connection and provisioning is excellent service.
Landline porting very poor service.
- First got a confirmation email that line is ported
- Two weeks later got a threatening email from Iinet customer service that my NBN order will be withdrawn and I must return any “discounted hardware” because my landline is on “Disconnected Service” and it cant be ported. I never requested my landline to be disconnected.
- Called Iinet support yesterday 3 times ( wasted more than hours on phone) got promised to call me back twice still waiting for a callback.

Just contacted Iinet support AGAIN (strange that chat services is now in Manila) and they can't find any records or updates on my case. I really love Iinet support for last 15 years but looks is time for divorce and move on to another ISP.

NBN 50

I have a NBN 50 plan for more than 12 months and I certainly have never had anywhere near your average speed you advertise during peak period. The most I have had is 34mbs/17 and that is at 1.30 am. I am 300 metres from the node and I certainly expected better seeing the area is only 7 years old with new copper.

Still waiting for a follow up to my second request. Using google maps I am 150 metres straight up my street and 150 metres to the left to the node. According to IInet I am at lest 800 metres from the node. Or If I go the the longest way by going out of the estate and to the node its still no more than 500metres. The speed tonight is down to 31kb and netflix is saying I don't have enough grunt to stop it buffering.

NBN 50

We paid for a service that is not fully delivered, iiNet told us it will take 5 to 6 business days to connect to NBN as our address is NBN ready .
For the last 12 months we received a lot of letters and phone calls from different ISP to tell us that NBN is ready and we must connect to NBN because our Telephone line will be disconnected soon.
We finally select iiNet 50 with phone and fletch TV with Nexflix YouTube .
We wait not 5 to 6 business days but 5 to 6 weeks to have our telephone line disconnected by IiNet. If I call my number I get the message “ number is not valid please check the number “ we have this number for 30 years. Also we cannot make call . Now it’s 8 days that we don’t have telephone line anymore . The main reason that we move to nbn was to keep your telephone line .
We called several times iiNet support, terrible experience. Tech support agent doesn’t know what it’s happening, they just tell us to wait 24 hours but 8 days later if I call the support the reply is the same wait 24 hour your phone line is in Process. They don’t log any tickets about the incident and you need to repeat yourself every time you are calling, plug the modem reset it plug your telephone to the modem . Oh sorry I can see your service still in pending you need to wait 24 hours...
Very frustrating to call this offshore technical support from iiNet.
I would like cancel my service because iiNet is unable to provide the service.
Also we paid $149 6 weeks ago for a service that we cannot use, I want my money back and my telephone number that we use with Telstra for the last 30 years .

I can only speak from my own personal experience and quite frankly with all the current media about NBN I’m quite happy to stick with ADSL

Sorry you’ve had a bad experience, however it could have something to do with the whole NBN Rollout

Tc and I hope you encounter better experiences in the future

Hi Giovanni,
I believe you don’t have any issues yet with iiNet and never have the need to calll iiNet for technical support .
iiNet have a very poor technical support employees don’t have any IT or technical skill they just answer calls and tell you to plug your modem and use a little pin to reset it ( a robot will be more efficient) they can’t see if my service is up or pending from their side, how can they provide support?
Don’t need to be an Network engineer to understand if you call a telephone line and get the message “ the number you dial is not on service, please check the number and try again “ this is not an issue with my modem . Modem can be unplugged or plugged I still have the same message. The issue is iiNet who has still not delivered the service as all services are still in Pending in my toolbox after 6 weeks .
