A must for any travel
Easy to set up a policy. Good price and great cover. First time I have used this company but cannot fault it so far. We are yet to travel and hopefully will not need to claim, but if we do I feel comfortable with our policy cover.

To much paper work asked while I was travelling
How wrong is to word( if the policy was of a good value ) no one takes a policy to get value out of it, its because if something happens and we are away from home and our private health insurance or Medicare does not cover us, unless we take travel insurance, no one takes it with the thought of making money out of it.

the doctors over in Montreal were very patient to fill all you were asking, that could not have happen if I was in a tour group doctors have little time to deal with tourists and can not always provide you with every single detail the insurance asks.thanks to my son and doctors patient to fill up all the requirements ask by you and bare in mind Quebec main language is french and they were kind enough to try and write the reports in English as we asked them so it will be easy for you, it would have been different if we were in Italy or France they would not translated it in English. Because we did all that paper as you wanted yes the claim was accepted.

Good Cover at Reasonable Price
You do not have to be a computer wiz to set it up. Having recovered from a heart condition, I am still offered insurance at a reasonable cost, unlike competitors. Every time I travel overseas this is the only place I now go to get my travel insurance.

Extremely poor claims experience
Second maybe third time insured with InsureandGo and this was first claim - for a theft at a market in Madrid. Obtained police report and provided reasonable proof of ownership, however, a long drawn out process that escalated to second level internal claims review before claim was properly paid. Call centre staff were always pleasant but not empowered to make any meaningful decisions and transfer to onshore claims staff often resulted in unavailability (' busy but will call you back') and no follow up. It felt like a process of attrition and if I had not persevered the claim would not have been fully paid. The amount of time spent by InsureandGo in delaying resolution was likely more than the cost of the claim.

Lost my bag and they were amazing
lost my bag, it was entirely my fault, they helped me locate it, paid for my essential items whilst overseas as well as the postage to get my bag back!

Beware
We should not rate Travel Insurance 4 or 5 stars on the purchase of travel insurance. This company regarding quoting and pricing thick all the boxes. Just make a claim and the stars will fall down very quickly. They say they cover lots of things, but in reality, they do not. I will not go through this company again. If you make a claim you will be very disappointed. Why bother with travel Insurance?

Very satisfied
Have used single trip Insure and Go on several occasions. Excellent value. Modest claim last year for cancelled accommodation and airfare change due to illness. Claim resolved speedily, courteously, and without delay.
The following is a separate issue. While overseas we wished to add a short Mediterranean cruise to our itinerary. e it would be rendered null and void. This is a preposterous situation and being fobbed off by talk about underwriter agreements doesn't wash at all. For example Insure and Go (UK) provides such facility to UK residents applying from outside the country. The situation means that travellers are prevented from availing themselves of opportunities that arise after they have left Australia. As pointed out out during communications it is hardly Rocket Science and does not sit well with someone who has spent the large part of a lifetime as a problem solver. Cancellation of Insurance - impossible to get a refund outside the 1st 2 weeks after payment
Disregard the boxes requiring destination/making a claim as without completing these I would not be able to lodge this 'REVIEW'. I had paid $1635.79 for insurance in February 2022. Cancelled my trip with the airline and received not a cent refund for cancelling my insurance from this insurance company. Will never use this company agfain despite it having a so-called 2018 Choice recommendation

This means you are eligible to a full refund upon cancelling your policy within 14 days of purchasing your policy (presuming your trip had not already commenced and you hadn't made a claim). My wife and I are going overseas in June 2020 so I statred shopping for travel insurance. As I have pre existing medical conditions I shopped around and answered all questions ith all insurers honestly. .With the added costs for my conditions most came in around $600 - 700, which is fairly consistent with what I have paid in the past. I magine my dismay when Insure & Go came in at nearly $3500!!!!

Terrible claim service!
I have provided all documents requested and they are drawing out my claim for no reason. I was told it would be within 10 days, 6 weeks later still no answer after many phone calls. I am sick and unfortunately had to cancel my trip. I provided a doctor’s letter confirming that my symptoms started well after I took out the insurance and also that I am too unwell to travel. l enough that I had to cancel my holiday let alone be stressed about not getting my money back! I’ve had terrible service and would never go through this company again. I’m very disappointed that somehow they have a good rating with choice and Canstar. It’s probably because they are cheap and say that they cover lots of things but in reality when you actually need to claim, they make it very hard! Why bother even having insurance!1 comment

Easy to purchase and to make a claim
These were one of the few insurers I found that would insure us as a group rather than insisting on different policies for different families. Purchase process was quite straight forward.
A few weeks before travelling one person in our group required urgent surgery and was not able to fly while recovering. On return from our holiday we claimed for costs we couldn't get refunded from the vendors. There was a little bit of back and forward requesting further medical information, but nothing too onerous. Once they had all the information our claim was paid in about 10 days.
I'd certainly look at InsureAndGo for group or family travel again.

Stick with major companies
We usually go with Allianz and have been happy. We have made small claims with no hassle. I decided to give this company a go as recommended by choice. All I can say is stay clear. We had a delay due to plane being cancelled and lost $1000 in hotels and flights and then repaid to get new flights and hotels. I came back and lodged this claim and there the headache began. ic after stall tactic and yesterday I received my refund of $2! Yes $2. It was actually $202 but they took my excess out and after more than a $1000 lost I got $2. Understand maybe all the claims not under their guidelines but I’m sure a lot where. Stick with the bigger companies as this was a prolonged, stalled, stressful situation to go through. Great price& coverage
I have used Insure & Go multiple times & 95% of the time they are the best value for very generous coverage. They are the best for preexisting medical conditions with a low extra charge if any.
Getting a quote is quick and simple as is buying a policy.
Will stick with Insure & Go for future travel.
