hi, I have IRobot Roomba 630. I've recently replaced the battery after that it only worked couples of time.
Then it suddenly said "charging error 1" when charging.
Can you please help me out with this issue, what does it means?
Regards
Tony

Hi Tony, I would remove the battery and clean the internal contacts on the Robot as well as the battery terminals. Another potential issue could be the contacts on the charging unit and the robot, I would clean these also. Good luck
I already did them all but issue still
However when I borrow the battery from friend of mine, it’s working fine without issue.
I think there could be something wrong with my new battery. What do you reckon?

Hi Tony, charging error 1 indicates that your Roomba 630 is unable to detect the battery. This often occurs when using non-manufacturer approved replacement parts. Please visit our online store at https://www.irobot.com.au/ for purchase of official iRobot parts with guaranteed Roomba compatibility. If your product issue persists, please contact our customer service team on 1300 727 421 for further assistance.

why does my rumba miss some of the rooms in my house now? it didn't use to. i clean filter and brushes every time i use it.

Hi Pam,
Sorry to hear this. If your product is not speaking an error message, please try the following to resolve:
1. Reboot your product
2. Check your Roomba has sufficient battery to complete the room clean and return to the base. Your product may be too low on battery for this if the room is later in the cleaning cycle.
2. Ensure the room has adequate light for the robot to navigate. Dark rooms can be challenging for the iAdapt localization camera and can cause problems with navigation and coverage. Daylight or dim lighting is sufficient for Roomba to navigate effectively.
3. Wipe the clear window on the robot's top surface using a microfiber or soft cotton cloth that has been lightly dampened with water or a screen cleaning solution.
Please let us know if any of these steps resolved your question, or for further assistance contact our customer service team on 1300 727 421.
Kind regards, iRobot

My Roomba 630 keeps saying move to a new location and press the clean button. I moved it and press the clean button but it just keeps on repeating the message. I’ve tried holding the two buttons for 10sec to reset but it keeps going back to the message. It was working fine before and when the message came up I moved it and pressed clean and it went. I don’t know what’s changed. Can you help me?

What do I do about plugs. I cant lift them off the ground. I have lamps, phone and other things plugged in around the house and it gets tangled in them?
1 answer
Teghan R.iRobot
HI Annette
The Roomba's do have an anti tangle feature, however if there are a few cables on the floor together, it is possible it may get caught up. I recommend may be getting a Dual Virtual Wall to stop the Roomba from going into that area.

Hi, I have just replaced the side wheel modules on my 630. Now Roomba only goes in circles and after 2 minutes stops with error 10. Is it possible the new wheels are incorrectly installed?

Error 10 is advising there is an issue with wheels. Is you Roomba turning left or right when it spins?

My new (2 weeks old) Roomba 670 doesn't clean all areas. For example today it missed one side of the kitchen - which is obviously important. Will it do a different route and clean it next time? We were told it had a 90 minute run time but it only does 60 minutes before returning to recharge. It doesn't go out again unless we restart it. I am wondering if we have bought a product that doesn't do the job we hoped it would.

Good Morning Faith
Thank you for your question, it is possible the 600 series may not be everything you were after.
The Roomba 670 has iAdapt Navigation, which means the Roomba will uses the furniture and walls to help navigate it's cleaning area. This can lead to the Roomba cleaning some area's mulitple time and not getting to others in its run time.
The battery does have an up to 90 minute run time, however, the amount of obstacles the Roomba has to navigate, the type of flooring ie wood, tile or carpet can all effect how long the Roomba will run for. Sadly this particular model does not have recharge resume to it. If you are wanting your Roomba to operate multiple times per day, we suggest allowing a 3 hour charge time and either manually or via the App pressing the clean button.
If you would like to contact our office on 1300 727 421 we can go through a little more thoroughly with you.
Kind regards iRobot

Why is my Roomba start cleaning again out of the blue without me starting it up?

How does this model work with an app, didn’t think that was an option.

Not sure with 630 as I bought the 670, with 670 it’s basically just to activate the clean button, pause and send home. Always help with notifications if there’s error or roomba needed help. If you get the higher range, I think you can navigate or set up cleaning area and schedules. Hope it helps. ;)
Thanks
Teghan R.iRobot

Sadly the iRobot Roomba 630 is not a wifi enabled Roomba. This can only be operated manually.

I purchased this machine in January 2014. I am wondering if I need a new battery as it only runs for about 10 mins before saying "recharge"
2 answers
Teghan R.iRobot
Good Morning Bev D,
Based on the age of the Roomba, and it only running for a short time, I would be recommending replacing the battery.
To be a 100% sure, you can remove the charging cable from the home base and plug this directly into the Roomba. if you find you are still only getting 10 minutes, the battery is defiantly the issue. These can be purchased from our online store www.shopirobot.com.au or by contacting our office on 1300 727 421.
Kind regards iRobot
Thank you Rebecca, I will be ordering a new battery

Does 670 and 690 not work on darker carpets?
1 answer
Teghan R.iRobot
good Afternoon Tamara
Depending on the brightness of the home verse the darkness of the carpet will determine if the Roomba will work.
All models have cliff sensors underneath, these detect a drop in the level from about 2" upwards. Due to this dark to black carpet or flooring can been seen as a drop in the floor.
If you would like to discuss this a little more, please do not hesitate to contact our office on 1300 727 421.
