It works on tiles but i found it missed bits on my floorboards. I returned mine as it did not work as effectively as i hoped. I believe the basic model.is limited

Roomba 600 Series

I have a 655 Roomba, got it for xmas ! It worked for a couple of months and now it will not run longer than 15 minutes. We have cleaned the contacts, removed the battery to reset. changed the brushes and filter ! Videos say to plug it directly into the wall but there is no way to directly plug it into the wall. How can I make this work again ?

Roomba 630

Our 630 fails to dock correctly. It'll home in on the station and attempt to dock, but then it pushes itself off and goes through the same routine of trying to dock. It'll make a few attempts and then go off around the room again before lining up for another go with the same result. I've followed the instructions of cleaning contacts and sensors and also all the power lead checks. Also removed battery and re-inserted with same results. Is there any advise you can provide?

Good Morning Steve
Your Roomba no longer docking on the home base correctly could be for a number of reasons. We recommend cleaning your charging contacts on the Roomba and the home base with a pencil eraser or a scotch brite sponge. You will find this will remove the grim build up that could be stopping your Roomba from registering it is home.

My Roomba is brand new and I’ve only used it a couple of times but now when it’s cleaning for about 15 minutes it stops, sings a little tune but doesn’t have an error message. I’ve cleaned it but it’s still not working properly.

I have a iRobot 670, if I set up barriers for cleaning but the dock station is out of this area, will the robot go until it runs out of battery or will it shut off when the area is completed?

I really love my Roomba and I’m so worried now that it seems to have “died “! I can’t afford another...
It wouldn’t start cleaning when I hit “clean” button but instead flashed red and beeped 7 times. This happened a few times and I gave up. The next day same thing. Now it doesn’t even turn on, make any noises or appear to charge! I’m seriously grieving...
The bin is empty, the filter fairly clean, and nothing seems tangled or wrapped around wheels, spinner, etc. Help please!! Is there anything I can do?

Try cleaning the charging sensors under the vacuum and on the charging docking station. I wiped with a clean cloth as they had grit on them. My machine resumed charging when I did this.

Roomba 630

Hi I’ve got a Roomba 630 12months old and I bought it second hand has been sitting for a couple of months, cleans well does a cleaning cycle then re docks and flashes orange to say it’s charging, and the green light on the dock comes on, then after a couple of seconds the dock green light goes out and 10 seconds or so later the orange light stops flashing on the Roomba and goes out . So not sure if it’s charging because no lights are on . Have cleaned all contacts Etc. Any suggestions?

Thank you for getting in touch with us. Units manufactured from 2016 had a change made, that the Unit and Home Base will flash approx 4 times and than go out as an energy saving mode. The Roomba will be fully charged in approx 3-4 hours. We do recommend keeping the Roomba on the base at all times, unless you are planning on not using it for more the 2 weeks. At which time as advise the remove the battery from the Roomba.

Roomba 650

When charging at the home base, my Roomba 650 recently started to say charging error 5 after 1-2 hours. When I manually restart the charging process, the error message comes back, but now after only 30 minutes or so. The battery is partly charged afterwards, the Roomba does its cleaning routine when I start it manually until it runs out of power. I have cleaned all contacts, including the ones inside, multiple times and also reset the Roomba. What else do you suggest for fixing this problem?

Thank you for getting in contact with us. Depending on the age of your Roomba, charging error 5 usually advises the battery requires placing. But if you would like to contact us directly on 1300 727 421 we can go through some troubleshooting with you.

Roomba 690

Just bought a 690 for my wife for Christmas. Two questions: 1. it doesn't try to return to the charging station, which is set up as the instructions direct; i.e., no barriers. It runs until the battery runs out then it just stops in place. 2. It seems random redirecting itself when it nudges an obstacle. We find we have to let it run into a foot or a barrier placed in the way to try to get it to complete a room and then it sometimes follows the same track where it has previously been. Isn't it supposed to keep track of where it has been?

This model Roomba will only clean as much of the house as it can in its approx 60 minute run time. The iAdapt Navigation System on this model uses your walls and furniture to help the Roomba navigate the home. This being said, you will find this Roomba will clean sections multiple times more than others.

We have found some customers are setting their charging stations up at a location at one end of the home, making it little harder for the Roomba to make it back before the battery runs out. We recommend having the charging station in a central location or if required adding a second charging station, so the Roomba can return to the closest one for charging.

The 650 Roomba is not cleaning the whole house. My house is only 2400 sq ft. What are we doing wrong? It just keeps cleaning one side of house over and over

The Roomba 650 has an approx run time of 60 minutes. This model Roomba will only clean as much of the house as it can in that time. The iAdapt Navigation System on this model uses your walls and furniture to help the Roomba navigate the home. This being said, you will find this Roomba will clean sections multiple times more than others.

If you are finding the Roomba is only cleaning one side of the home during a battery cycle, I might be an idea to move the home base location helping the Roomba clean from another angle.

I believe the "Clean" button on the app will only stop the Roomba from operation, I believe there should have been a further request asking if you would like the Roomba to be sent home or just "Pause".
