It is always getting stuck moving from hardwood floors to rugs?? Why??? Is there anything I can do??

Good Morning PamB
Without seeing the type of rug it is trying to get on it is had to advise. I have found with my personal Roomba and a lighter style rug, the Roomba may curl the edges when it is trying to get on. If you would like to send a video of this to us at [email protected] we may be able to supply you with a better response.

As long as it is not to plush and it can rest up against the wall, there should be an issue with setting the dock up on carpet.

I have a 650 model and after its fully charged I hit clean and then instantly it makes a high screeching sound, stops and announces that it needs to be charged again. The replacement battery is about one year old. I did a reset, but it did the exact same thing after trying again. Love the Roomba and actually bought a second one, but would like to continue using this one.
Any ideas?
Thanks!!!!

I've seen no reviews for the 670. How does it rate to the rest of the 600 series?
1 answer
Teghan R.iRobot
HI Lisa
The 670 Roomba is very new to the market in Australia, they may be the reason there have not been any review as yet. I would say this is most like the best from this series so far, as it is wifi enabled and has a 90 minute run time, which all the other models in the range are only 60 minute.

Just got the roomba 670 series . After using it once and it docked that evening we noticed that I have like skuff marks on my floor which is pergo laminate. I am afraid to start it again. Any suggestions?

I have had no issues with scuff marks on the floor however I have concrete floors. It does sound a bit strange that you have scuff marks. Is something blocking the wheels or rollers that pick up the dust/debris? I would ring the help line.

Good Afternoon Kathy

Hi
I’ve just installed a new Xlife battery for my 630 iRobot and I’m still getting multiple charging errors and to add to that the motor is on but the unit stays stationary. I’ve also taken apart the wheels, brushes and cleaned all the sensors but without any success in resolving the issue.
Is there anything else that might fix the problem?

Roomba 600 used to alertmy cell phone when job completed or stuck for what ever reason but not any more. Anyone know why it won't talk to me now?
1 answer
Teghan R.iRobot
Hi Bruce
It is possible that the wifi and your Rooba my have lost communication at some point. If you remove the app from your phone, factory reset your Roomba by holding the "spot", "clean" and "home" buttons down together for 10 secs, at which point the Roomba will play a tune to advise it has been reset. The re establish the app you should fin the map and notifications should resume.

We have a Roomba 630 that worked very well for a couple of years. I cleaned it and I think it got wet, so we dried it out. Now as soon as I install the battery the motor starts to run before I even get the bottom cover re-installed. Can anyone tell me why this is happening and how to stop the motor running? Thanks
1 answer
Teghan R.iRobot
Good Morning Drover
Thank you for making contact. It is possible getting the unit wet has damaged the motherboard. Creating the unit is start before the battery is secured.

Hi,
I have a Roomba 690 which is wifi connected. I have it scheduled to run in the morning before I get up which has been working great. However, I've started to notice that it's been running longer than an hour lately and the "return home" light isn't going on within it's normal running time, which for that unit is an hour. I've been using the app to cancel the job and return home after an hour and 45 minutes when the battery is very low. Is there a sensor that needs to be cleaned that tells the Roomba when it's time to return to the base or is that in the software inside the unit? Will using the app to Reset the Roomba to factory settings fix my issue? Thanks for any help you might provide.
1 answer
Teghan R.iRobot
HI Pali P
The Roomba 690 has a run time of approximately 60 minutes, depending on the surface it is cleaning and the objects around you may find you are getting longer than this.
If you can please test the Roomba by allowing it to run a full cycle and not asked it to return home to see if it can return on its own. If it doesn't, please contact us on 1300 727 421.

IRobot tried to dock, light on dock flashes green once, vacuum just won’t katch on and dock. Any ideas?
1 answer
Teghan R.iRobot
Good Morning Lori D
Thank you for taking the time to contact us. It is possible that the charging contacts on the Roomba and Dock may need a clean. We recommend cleaning these with a dry scotch brite sponge (green side) or a pencil eraser. This will help remove the dirt and grim build up that may be stopping the Roomba from connecting.
If you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us on 1300 727 421.
