Pointless warranty
My new car (3 months old) has developed a metalic clanking noise when braking. Mitsubishi and the dealers response...'They all make that noise (automatics), yours is just a bit louder. Bring it back if it gets worse or breaks'. (It is something to do with an automatic gearbox safety devise). This after I already explained it is getting worse... It is so obvious there is little chance I would ever be able to sell the car. I wish I knew that 'they all do that' before I bought a Mitsubishi.

Very Poor Customer Service
Owned two Mitsubishi cars, one a Lancer VRX and an Outlander 4x4. I had radio problems from the word go on one car, intermittently dropping out a minor glitz I thought. Took it to the service center and the disinterest was palpable. After a number of visits eventually someone actually took it for a drive and found there was indeed a drop out issue but they refused to fix it. After some debate they finally agreed to replace the sound system. The car was returned with damage to the dash, minor but damage none the less on a new car. No apologies, ...Read more
an unbelievable take it or leave it attitude. Customer service was non-existent and strangely enough it was not exclusive to one person so it would seem it is an company wide issue. I hate confrontation so I let it slide and I figured things would improve over time via management review etc. It didn't. I had capped servicing but always paid more for some reason or other. After a few years of putting up with it I finally stopped going after another issue with warranty arose, blaming me for a rear window demister that stopped working. I asked how I could possibly have contributed to the failure since there are no moving parts and the only access I have to it is via a switch, I am still waiting on that answer. Mitsubishi was no help either by the way but they were being fed by Lander so likely not their fault. 5 year warranty? I don't think so. Buyer beware is my advise.Similar opinion? Making things far more complicated than they need to be.
Purchased (via lease) new Triton Vehicle from a Mitusbishi dealership. The vehicle I purchased was located at the Footscray dealership, however it was sent to the local enue which I purchased the vehicle from, almost immediately. The Footscray venue however kept ringing me, every time I missed their call I would call back immediately and sit on the phone for 20 minutes trying to work out who called me, only to get a 'we don't know'. Even though I told them all my details, just purchased a car etc etc... Got sent a few emails from Footscray tel...Read more
ling me I needed to fill in paperwork, all of which was already filled in at the other venue. Even got a nasty phone call telling me the car was at Footscray ready for pick up. I informed them it was being sent out to the dealership near me and got told, that wasn't going to happen and basically hung up on. Next week I get a phone call telling me again the car is in Footscary, even though I had seen it delivered to my local Mitsubishi. My local venue has the car ready for pick up, has been for a week, however Footscray are continuing to tell my lease company that it isn't ready until another 3 weeks. I've spent more time on the phone trying to fix their mistakes than I did looking at cars. My local Mitsubishi, (Melton) have been fantastic. The guys working there have been helpful, informative and a pleasure to deal with. It's a shame the experience has been dainted by the incompetence of the Footscary venue.Similar opinion? Very disapointed both in the product and after sales service.
Bought car new from Dandenong Mitubishi who bent over backwards until we payed them. At less than 30,000 car over heated and lost power whilst on holiday, rang Mitsubishi and were told we could have a courtesy car and should not drive ours but car couldn't be seen for 2 weeks. After playing phone tennis we find out no courtesy car can be given until problem with our car is diagnosed and that cannot happen until at least 2 weeks but don't drive it.

arts ?? then we are told we may need a new motor but it may not be covered by the warrenty. So we stress then in the end oh we cannot fault your car. The service person also queried the price of our invoice and that maybe all had not been done when really price has nothing to do with it, if the book is stamped then a mechanic has done it. After service people need to get their facts straight and take customer care more seriously. We were told to that many recalls were not completed correctly by dandenong so therefore more problems occurred so just be careful people. Luckily for us we were able to talk our friends company out of buying 4 tritons.

Oh Dear!!!!
Well lets be honest, a bit of a joke really. I think from memory I ordered the car in Febuary, got the car in June. You know, the floods stopped production etc etc. They were nice and apologetic but really in this day and age just not good enough. Anyway got the cat, they threw in a set of free car mats for the weight. Overall they were very nice and polite.
They did their job. Coffee machine was good for the kids.
Antiquated ordering system. Well that what the manager told me. They could not for 3 months even tell me where my car was.
