Hi greg here the heater ignites and runs then shuts off after 6mins what could be wrong

does it have a flashing fault code 2 digit number? the heater will need a service if not done every 3 years

Thank you for the question Greg, there should be a fault code showing when the heater switches off which can give an indication as to what the problem is. Once you have this fault code our technical team will be able to help you further. They are available on 1300 555 545 option 3.

We have a Rinnai Avenger 25 after it has been running for about 5-10 min it cuts out with an error 13. We’ve checked the connection and the filters are all clean. Any help on what the problem might be would be great!

Hi i have rannai avenger 25 tre
Im moving to a new house but there is no gas pipe for it so can i use it only on electrical thanks

Hello Abbey you would need a gas line from an lpg bottle i believe only the fan will work without gas so no heating without gas.

Hi we have had our heater for over 5 years it won’t turn on at all the Led screen shows us there is power but remote won’t turn it in nor the button

We are trying to decide between the avenger25 and the avenger25 Plus. Cost is not an issue. Favouring the 25plus at this point. Would the 25plus be preferable given the electrical source option. Is there any other substantial difference between the two apart from this additional all feature

Hi,i have just got a new avenger 25 LPG heater,works very well but the fan in on full all the time,i cant work out how to either turn in off or turn the fan down as it is a little noisey..Thanks

I have an avenger 25 plus... recently the heater flames out?!?
I’m just wondering if this has happened for anyone else?
The heater generally works fine for 1 to 2 hours and then just makes this god awful roaring noise as if the flame is lighting and not lighting in quick succession, this is accompanied by a gas smell.
I have had it serviced but that was useless, problem persists.
Any ideas??

We love our Rinnai Avenger 25 Plus but just wish the display was readable in low light. It’s a small issue but wondering whether we are missing some simple trick where the display can be made backlit for low light conditions.
Are we missing something??

I purchased a Rinnai Avenger 25 Plus two weeks ago(natural gas),it works great but it emits gas fumes when started the fumes go through the house I have to open doors and windows for a while to clear the fumes then it’s ok.I replaced my other rinnai natural gas heater as it started to emit gas fumes to.I called the rinnai service centre and said its chemicals I use in the house but I don’t use any.Could you advise me what could be going on. Thanks for the question SAM, To deactivate the Lock function press both the Up and Down buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds. The Lock indicator will go out to show that the Lock function is no longer active. The Lock function can be deactivated at any time in this manner.

Thanks for the question Montechel, has the heater been serviced recently? We recommend all gas appliances are serviced every 2 years to ensure optimal safety and performance. A build up of dirt and debris on the fan can cause excess noise.

The fan on the unit is automatic and set by the heater depending on the output required for the temperature selected, this cannot by overridden.
