Skymesh was a good provider for about 1 year with 3 of my accounts and i then i added 1 4th account, over the last year the service their team provides has been abysmal and for the last 3 months the constant dropouts (every 25 minutes) have made me decide to end my relationship with skymesh and go with another provider. I urge anybody thinking about signing up to stay away, after reading recent reviews online i am in the same boat as other people.

Was good now useless
Have been with them for over 3 years. Was pretty good up until the past couple of months.
Service has gone to rubbish. International connection speeds dwindling and reliability of connection is non existant.
Almost nightly drop outside lasting around 5 min.
Currently experiencing a drop out over 2 hours old poor communication and call centre closed early today!
Poor form. Then I read that during my contract some other company has bought them out and I've had 0 notification.

I'm enjoying this. I've just signed up and everything is just cruising.
Learnt some things too ..like configuring my router and stuff.
The Tech showed me- else I would've been stuffed.
Getting major speeds and no dropouts.
( It may not always be that way but ..you know the old saying, 'crap happens'. )

untrained support personnel, lazy sales staff and too many outages for maintenance
It took over 2 weeks to activate an account, numerous phone calls with incorrect information give to me. Connection reliability is low, 4 hours down time on a weekday due to one of their techs knocking a cable out. Between 20 min to 1 hour hold time to get through to support during quiet times, I've left messages and send emails before and honestly haven't received a response.

Worst ISP I’ve ever been with
Heaps of drop outs, awful and rude customer service. Cut our internet off with no warning, worst ISP ever (I’ve had 5 different ones over the years).

Great company.
Can't recommend skymesh enough. Call centre in Australia and they are very easy to deal with and nothing is too much trouble. Their rates are very competitive and good speeds. Highly recommend them.

Performance has degraded over time and failed to complete Backhaul from POI.
I have a FTTN NBN connection with Skymesh. I chose them as when I first signed up they were considered to be one of the leading Australian based ISPs. Well that changed within months when they were sold.
What was disappointing was that a change from being a Vocus backhaul customer to a Skymesh backhaul customers hasn’t occurred. This was also a major reason for joining. That would have meant Skymesh should have had immediate control of congestion issues.

here my speeds drop from 95 to sometimes lower than 10. Often seeing it as buffering on low bandwidth video on YouTube or Facebook. A further issue that has become more prevalent is the “kids arriving home” daily drop out. Set up and support has always been good, however, for a Premium service of $99 a month the nightly congestion and speed drops aren’t a premium priced result. As my experiences have been ongoing for over a year I’m now moving onto a business class backhaul provider who surprisingly enough gives me more options such as a static IP for a cheaper monthly price. What Customer Service? Should really be 0.5 stars...
Long time SkyMesh Customer and have seen a considerable drop in quality of service/reliability since SkyMesh's early days (it has especially gotten worse since BBB acquired SkyMesh back in 2016). Well enough is enough, finally moving on to greener pastures. But as with all things SkyMesh nowadays, even that has proven a challenge.

Very poor customer service; good speeds when they work
We had an NBN FTTP 100/40 plan with SkyMesh for 3+ years, but the customer service and connection reliability has dropped significantly over the past 12 months. Initially, everything was okay, but then the speeds, connection, and customer service were terrible. We had a problem with our upload speed and they made us jump through so many hoops to try to get the issue resolved, and they would not read their customer notes (the notes when we had called them for support). After 5+ days of no resolution and being passed around to different people, and being hung up on (purposely), we switched ISPs. Our new ISP took less than 24 hours to rectify the situation and we've been happy ever since.
I would not recommend Skymesh at all.

Worse customer service ever
I was customer for almost 5 years and this company recently went down the hill after it was great. I called them regarding a problem with my internet speed and after many speed tests and changing cable and restart, finally decided to put a request to NBN. the customer service told me that they issue a request to NBN, 3 days later called me to request more test so they can issue a request to NBN. They wanted me to change the line that connect the NBN box on the side of my house and running through the roof of my house, it was so ridiculous suggestion. I moved to another company and my problem solved in 24 hours.

Absolutely terrible
Signed up for a nbn 50/20 deal price matched form exetel for 500gb at $55/month. Soon after connecting us on the wrong day that was agreed, they were sending us emails saying we had gone over 50% of our 30gb data limit. We also had text messages and emails sent asking for payment details when we ad already given them, Additionally customer service wait times were always at least 20-30mins+ wheres Aussie BB are sub 5mins. Furthermore we got about 5-10mbits down and about 2-5mbits up in peak hour between 5pm and 11pm and a ping of around 150ms co...Read more
mpared to 48/19 and a ping of 25ms at 6am to 4pm in off peak hours making it very obvious that these guys over provision their bandwidth from their upstream providers and probably pay for 100 customers and service 1000 customers with that bandwidth. As soon as everyone goes to use it at once then it grinds to a halt.. The only way I could recommend this service is if you only use internet in off peak hours but even then it had drop out issues and the customer service was terrible. I have a great connection (HFC) and have since gone to Aussie Broadband where I get consistent 49/19 at 10ms ping on a 50/20 plan and I get these speeds 24/7. I used to have consistent pings/speeds on my previous isp before Skymesh too so I knew straight away that they were the problem and not my physical connection or my settings as the connection was full speed in off peak hours. Considering this obvious analysis, you would think that the staff at Skymesh would admit it's their fault for over provisioning customers on their bandwidth but instead tried to strong arm me into troubleshooting the connection and wasting my time before letting me leave without charging me for the full month even though I was only with them for 7days, The overall experience was just terrible and in my opinion, the extra $10/month for an aussie broadband connection is worth every cent for both the connection and getting what i payed for and the customer service.1 comment

Worst internet ever!
I have paid for the highest speed NBN at 100mbps for the last few months. Since then I have had nothing but problems with the internet being an average of 30mbps at best. Calling to rectify this I was told I had to record speed tests, while they worked out what was wrong. The problem I have with this is that in the meantime I was still paying full price for a service I wasn't receiving, when I brought this up I was told 'sorry that's not our department you will have to call accounts.The customer service has been almost as bad as the slow internet. Switching to another company soon and I will not recommend skymesh to anyone.

We had to wait for our VOIP to finally get up and running. Skymesh were quite supportive during that phase. Due to the antics of a third party, that left them and their customers without a service, totally out of Skymesh's control. Loved the due diligence, perseverance and professional approach to the overall situation. NBN, has worked from day 1, apart from short period of time and has performed very well ever since. Not a great experience, going to go elsewhere.
Had FTTN NBN through SkyMesh for about a year and a half. Never had amazing speeds, always less than advertised. There was an issue with the modem / router they sent out that I ended up fixing for them.
Drop outs daily, forcing router resets would sometimes fix this, sometimes not.
Overall not a great experience and moving elsewhere now.

Skymesh integrity apparently takes a dive.
After good service since the NBN became available in my area,for the last three months my previously adequate allowance of 30 GB was becoming exhausted 3-4 days short. Instead of slowing, the service shut off for most of the day for the rest of the periods, and the bonus 30gb in the off-peak period seemed to be unavailable. This month my allowance of GB has burnt through in 2 weeks, despite there being no change in my internet use. I began to suspect I was being nudged towards a more expensive plan. Having just discovered that Skymesh had been bought out, the thought occurred that an inferior ethic had overtaken Skymesh, and I will be looking to move on.

Poor customer service
I originally switched to SkyMesh from TPG as I was having average speeds almost all the time.
SkyMesh speeds were much faster however the speeds become slower over time.
I found my speeds during peek times so slower they were affecting my ability to perform work offsite.
In response to the slow speeds I logged a support request online as it was after hours.
