I have enoyed 3 trips with TripADeal - 2 to India (amazing) and 1 to China (on eyear ago - now here we are)
Amazingly well organised, enjoyed experiences I only dreamt of - and value outstanding. Value without cutting corners.
Girlfriend and I were booked for the Maldives - to depart in April 2020. TripADeal made a very fair offer and we were pleased to accept. They then increased our credit note - amazing as we had already accepted. This shows integrity. The communication has been terrific - and assuming my next upcoming trip in July to Croatia will unfortunately be cancelled - I know they will make the best Credit note offer. Still Have Faith
I went on Tripadeal tour to Myanmar a few years ago and could not fault any part of the tour or organisation.
I therefore did not hesitate to book another two trips with Tripadeal for this year. Then Covid 19....
Everyone is disappointed, everyone is hurting, worldwide. Best case scenario we will wake up, Covid 19 was a bad dream and we go on our trips... not happening.

Do not book with Tripadeal
Let's all remember which companies looked after us during the Coronavirus outbreak and which companies did not. Charging us fees to reschedule our trip when they more than likely got all of our money back. They say they didn't but I find that very hard to believe considering most if not all airlines and hotels/resorts gave refunds/ rescheduling for free along with every other major travel company I know. Looks like we are all out of pocket and struggling so Tripadeal can make money off the side of a devastating pandemic.

Don’t give them your money
Simply. We Paid for a service that was not delivered. They used CONVI -19 as an out. We lost all of our money and we have been offered NOTHING, no credit, no refund, no deferral. Don’t trust TripADeal . Be careful this company may not be around for long.

No refund for cancelled trip - covid
Booked a trip to Greece and paid over $10k. When Smart Travel said Do Not Travel I cancelled trip and was told there was no refund. Extremely unreasonable and bad business. Email said read fine print. A lot of money to pocket as things like meals, boat transfers, coach driver, tourist experts would not have been paid up front. Accommodation would have been a deposit if anything and I believe airlines refunded airfares? Why are they making a profit from our misfortune. Bad experience and would not recommend

We toured Egypt as a package with Jordan and Turkey which were both lovely but Egypt was way below expectations. No Wi-Fi, no water and the Wi-Fi sold to us for $30US cut out at 500mb instead of 15gb. TrilpaDeal response....not our problem!! Never again!!

Doing the best they can under extreme circumstances
Having previously been on a Trip A Deal holiday, we had no hesitation in booking again to China, for March 2020. When the pandemic broke, TAD was on the front foot and contacted us with the offer of deferring our trip to a later date. At the time there were no restrictions in place, but it was obviously coming. I was very happy with the offer of a credit note to use for any other trip prior to June 2021. 1st and last trip
Sadly, I thought I would try something diffrent and book a group tour rather than organise my own itinerary. Well this was a mistake. Communication is blanket. No proof as to why we loose $600.00 for a rebooking fee and we also felt, we were cornered into the peace of mind deal. The moral of the story we will travel on the peace of mind deal minus our rebooking fee. Never again will I book through a tour company.

The trip of a nightmare
Ok...so we were on a 48 day World Tour with Trip a Deal. We sailed on the Costa Victoria..and after ports closed due to the pandemic, Trip a Deal did nothing. Costa flew us home. No word from TaD re reimbursement. Emails answered after 7 or 8 days, if then. This agent should never be allowed to trade again. A lot of angry passengers are trying to contact them....Julie.

Has anyone else noticed the sudden burst of 'glowing' reviews? So many hundreds of distressed and angry customers and then this rash of positive outcomes. Really?? Notice how there are no details of the trips, credit or postponement arrangements in these positive reviews, unlike the many many more genuine reviews. Quite incredible. (For instance, who would purchase 3 trips without trialling one with the company? ) If only I might be offered a satisfactory outcome .......

I will sleep soundly tonight!
I spent a couple of hours last night reading the predominantly negative posts about Trip A Deal and had a sleepless night. We had a $11,600 trip booked and had a received an email 5 weeks ago, saying the trip was not going ahead and I would be contacted within 28 days. That deadline had passed. People had said that they could not get responses both by phone or emails and when they did, their outcomes were not what they wanted. Also my account had been closed. ly 7 minutes, by a very friendly chap called Luke, who listened to my story. Bringing up my order he was able to tell me that my account was closed due to the trip being cancelled. Not a sinister reason as I had thought. Also, that TOD had sent me an email 3 weeks ago regarding their solution for us but obviously that was in cyber space. He resent the email while I was on the phone with him, explaining what TOD was offering and I was thrilled. A credit of the FULL AMOUNT minus $400 per person admin fees and the chance to rebook any trip anywhere before 31/12/2021. $10,600 to be spent on TOD travel. We don’t begrudge the admin fee as it keeps people in work. This is very fair and very appreciated. I know many people are unhappy with their outcomes but I want to say a huge and heartfelt “thank you” to Trip A Deal and all the staff working hard to solve issues at this very stressful and trying time.1 comment

We are booked to travel in September but this looks unlikely. If this is frustrating for us, please spare a thought for how frantic it must be for staff at Tripadeal trying to sort out many thousands of cancellations. We know we are (almost certainly) not going so can only wait patiently to see how it all plays out.

We have not heard from TAD regarding our Order no 123499 just received a couple of emails, nothing since a generic COVID-19 update on 19th March. 1st of all, yes some people have had great service and been kept in the loop and able to re-schedule some twice for the same trip BUT some of us haven't, no contact or response from TAD, completely ignored. We have emailed and rung but was sent the wrong itinerary (wrong persons). aven't completed or contacted existing bookings as that they are now FOCUSING on there more immediate new customers. TAD has made a 'Big Mistake' as we have lots and lots of travel to do and once this is all sorted out we will be looking at other options. y changes to re-regulate the Australian Travel Industry to be accountable to the paying customer. Back in 2018 changes were made to protect the Travel Agents from Tour operators going broke. Being a member of AFTA/ATAS looks after the business interests of Travel Companies training and financial. Covid19 cut short my trip of a lifetime.
I did the Turkey/ Egypt &Jordan tour on the 2/3. I travelled solo, Amazing tour guides. Fantast group. Especially in Turkey, Accommodation was fantastic and the meals were delicious. Sadly missed out on Jordan due to Covid19. Tripadeal organised new flights home. They were amazing at keeping us updated the entire time. Can't wait to travel with Tripadeal again when this ordeal is over. Offered a $300 travel voucher to use 2021 but hoping to claim the rest back through insurance.

Frustrated with Aussie company
Have booked for a trip to Canada and Alaska in early May. Emailed TAD twice in March and had no personal reply. Did receive a generic email that they were working on getting people back from overseas and trips in April. Could not get through at all on the phone. Rang on the 1st April and was told they had a refund for our flights and ground part of our trip and were waiting for the cruise line to contact them. Told we would hear in 10-14 days. hard and investigating all tours. A complete waste of time after waiting 40mins to get through. We have paid over $12,500 for a once in a lifetime trip. This company made $200 million dollars last year and have had our money since November. We have had nothing for our money and other companies are refunding. Tripadeal, why are you making this all so hard? We just want to be treated fairly. None of us asked for this. Don't keep people's money where no service has been provided. If you do the right thing and give people their money back, have some faith that people will rebook with you down the track when things get back to normal. We should not have to resort to legal action, ACCC or Fair Trading to get back what is rightfully ours.

They certainly are a truly horrid company and have caused so much heartache to so many people, their has been a class action started against them with Slater and Gordon, we have jumped on board and so should everyone.

Has anyone noticed the recent flurry of glowing reviews from well wisher’s and supposed customers (aka employees) of TAD. I direct your attention to Bev “wonderful staff team members” review. Doesn’t address any trips she has purchased, just fulsome congratulations to a group of TAD employees.
TAD is desperately doing anything to maintain their star rating....crooks.
